No. The position of Archon, rendered in High Ephyral as "Saesarys", derived from the Latin 'Caesar', is in fact a dual-held position that is held for three years by elected officials who have made their way to the minimum point on the political hierarchy, are of a minimum age, and have children.

However, no Archon has ever been female as women are not involved in politics. Whilst men of the Freehold carry the highest form of citizenship ensuring their legal and political rights, women are held under a lower form of citizenship, which grants them legal protections as dependent upon their guardian (father, husband, and later, son), it affords them no political rights.

Archons are viewed as a form of presidential-prince. The position emerged as the division of powers typically held by a king to prevent tyranny, so both men that hold it are honoured and revered as 'kingly', but without being tyrants. Much in the same way that apart from in a few rare circumstances, the kingdoms of northern Selia and the city-state realms of southern Selia never saw ruling queens, female Archons have never happened.

The wives, and to some extent, daughters of Archons are of some influence and become figures in the public eye. The wives of Archons become honorary 'Mothers of the People', and are routinely seen in a positive light. No special position is held by either the sons or daughters of Archons but they do not lack for attention during the term of their father.

No. As of the year 1525 of the Anogarian Calendar, the two incumbent Archons are, His Honour and Father of the State, Archon Lysaron Kessathihos Velareon, and His Honour and Father of the State, Archon Aethon Dekihos Arnaris.

Both men ran on a highly traditionalist platform, in response to a growing Marxist movement called the Selian Suffrage Shift, a movement seeking the right to vote for all native-Selian born women. Two rallies held in the city of Valysys were put down, and Velareon gave a speech at Valysys in the province of Arconia to rally them and the people against the radicals. When it came to the elections, Velareon and Arnaris came out overwhelmingly ahead.

The Senate of the Freehold has no female entrants, because entry to the Senate is dependent upon being elected to the lowest office of the state. This requires the political right to run, which is afforded only to the men of Selia, and any provincials / foreigners elevated by an Archon or a Praetor for outstanding service to the nation.

Women are prohibited from running for this position and thus can never be a Senator. This would also be a matter of linguistics, as the word for Senator is 'kematys', which is derived back through the noun 'kemtion'. The word 'kemtion' is best translated as a 'council of fathers', as it is derived itself from the word 'kema', meaning father. Senators are held up as virtuous statesmen, and fathers of the Freehold, for they are all fathers within their family and exercise authority within it.

For a woman to join the rank of the 'fathers' would be quite a peculiarity.

As it stands, it is a criminal offence (albeit non-serious) for a woman to actually enter the Senatorial chamber uninvited. Doing so is essentially not possible at any rate due to police presence at the Senatorial chamber. Women are in any case rarely invited to enter the chamber, but their uninvited entrance is regarded as a distraction. The punishment is little more than a fine for women of the citizenry, though women of declared infamy or non-citizens could stand to be flogged depending on the nature of their trespass.
