Brazilyana is a federation, therefore states are allowed to recognize whatever language they want. All business for the federal government is done in english, but portuguese and french are recognized by other states as well.

There is no official language of Station 12. However, most speak English because that was the main language JOY unit was programmed with.

English is an imperfect language, but code is not yet useful for communication between organic beings.

The official languages are Spanish and English.
French was an official language until 2005, when its use was dropped in relevance to "globalized reasons".

Spanish and English make up the majority of the spoken language, although on the islands of Gullermo and Januaria, Portuguese is more prevalent than English (due to it's proximity to the Brazilian city of Rio de Janiero).

Our nation speaks English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. There is also a small minority of Scandinavian languages spoken in big cities.

Koran is the official language, but a large portion of the population also knows English or German as well. Also, all students are required to learn at least two foreign languages in order to graduate from high school.

and doing so is highly encouraged.

due to a highly mixed ethnicity composition, we have many languages. however, the majority of them know at least some English.

so our national language is English, but there are hundreds of languages spoken within our borders.

English is the only official language, although there are minority groups who speak other languages, the largest groups of which speak Scandinavian languages and British Celtic languages.

The official language is Yannian, a Germanic/Polynesian creole*.
Minority languages are: Salish, Kwamish, Icarian, Potosian.

*(OOC: since sofar it only exists as a concept, i'm using Dutch as a stand-in.)
