Your population and GDP per capita are in conflict with the rules for applicants. The 6th point under the Important Information Button states "Countries with a population over 20 million should not have a GDP per capita (nominal) in excess of $50,000 - This does not mean you should attempt to reach as close to this number as possible."

Your culture does not match the area that you claimed in the map. German cultures are clustered in Rennekaa the continent in the South West portion of the Aeia map with nations such as Rohst, Tyronova, and Volgaria.

Additionally the land you have claimed is too small to reasonably support 250,000,000 people.

Your capital is Berlin and your name is Empire of the Greater German Reich in character? I am assuming this because you have given almost 0 information in your application. We are a world building region that does our best to avoid using real world languages, places, events etc. Your name and capital do not meet our standards.

By regional power I assume you mean you would be a moderate power in the region of Aeia and Western Catai or you mean regional power as one of the "great" powers of the entire region of Aeia. Either way you would need to give much more information and samples of RP.

Please feel free to address these issues and re-apply.

Thank you,
Aquidneck
Aeia WA Delegate

The HDI would also mean a rather short lifespan and a rather poor education system given the GDP per capita.

IC nation name: The Confederation of Faldarun (Faldarunic: ᛒᛆᚿᛑᛆᛚᛆᚵ ᚡᛆᛚᛑᛆᛋᚱᚢᚿ, tr. Bandalag Valdasruni)
Capital: Auðugurhöfn
Government type: Direct democratic confederation of freely associated communes
RP population: 151,190,000
Ethnic Group(s):
  • 61.7% 'White Faldarunic'
  • 13.2% 'Black Faldarunic'/Arabekho-Faldarunians
  • 8.5% 'Hispanic Faldarunic'
  • 6.4% 'Yidaoi Faldarunic'
  • 5.8% Native Vestrimian
  • 3.3% Multiracial/Mixed Race
  • 1.1% "other"
Language(s): While Faldarunic lacks any official language, Faldarunic, a North Germanic language, is considered the lingua franca and national language, spoken to some degree by close to 86% of the population. Other major languages include Helderian, which is spoken in the Department of Nordehuken by the Helderian minority there, the various Native Vestrimian languages which preceded the Faldarunic colonisation, and the numerous first languages spoken by immigrants to the country.
GDP per capita (USD): $41,829 p/c (nominal)
HDI: 0.944
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): iiWiki is here; though much of this is pending relevant discussion and reworking
Map claim (Imgur): Location in Vestrim, hastily drawn northern island chain is more an idea than anything because I suck at drawing islands.

Geography and climate of nation: Faldarun enjoys a varied climate covering a large number of the Koppen classifications. Along the west coast and the northern half of the peninsular is a Cascadian-esque climate, while along the southern half of that peninsular and the southern coast is a warmer yet more temperate coastal climate. In-land is for the most part a temperate continental climate. Geographically, it is home to both large, coastal cities hosting bustling populations, in addition to a vast inland area home to sprawling agricultural farmland, with the addition of large mountain ranges and other geographical features common to the new world.
Most comparable Real-World country and why?: Faldarun lacks a single real-world counterpart; however, it can utilises a similar governmental and economic system as in the DFNS, shares cultural and historic similarities with Canada, Scandinavia and the pre-Cold War United States. The Faldarunic langauge is, currently, the Icelandic language, however I wish to differentiate the two further at some point in the future.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): In my previous region, Faldarun was a small, isolationist country which was so non-aligned is disdained to associate even with the Non-Aligned Movement. In Aeia, however, I envisioned Faldarun to be a far more influential power; providing an alternative in the Aeian geopolitical situation; an alternative economically to the largely capitalist, market-oriented liberal democracies of the CDN, and an alternative administratively to the centralised, totalitarian regimes of the other two blocs. Faldarun would in many ways be a leading power in this regard, though the extent of this is dependent on whether or not there is a desire for a further bloc in the cold war, and if there is a desire for other nations to side with Faldarun over others.

In terms of strengths and weaknesses:
  • Strengths
    • Relative lack of 'unnatural' social inequality; while natural inequalities (appearances, location of birth etc) still have an impact, in terms of for example income Faldarun has high levels of equality.
    • Relatively high support for the current method of government; although malcontents and opponents exist and are welcome to speak out, they are in the minority.
    • Strong economy, supported by the self-managed model. Allows for 'moderated growth' and a relatively high standard of living.
    • High levels of social freedom have lead to a booming 'cultural sector'; film, television, cinema, music and other arts flourish in Faldarun.
  • Weaknesses
    • Lack of economic independence; heavily reliant on foreign imports (particularly oil, although there have been attempts to move towards alternative fuel sources).
    • A government system that is maladaptive to a modern power; requiring a consensus and referendum before being able to do many things internationally.
    • Combination of the self-managed economy and reliance of imports can lead to economic downturns as in a capitalist economy; while it is rare for Faldarun to generate these, it is particularly vulnerable to foreign-born economic troubles.
    • Democratic process within the military can lead to trouble and disputes; if the soldiery refuse to follow orders or the officers refuse to follow higher commands, can lead to absolute disaster. While this is in theory mitigated by other laws, and in practice by national pride and a fear of a foreign occupation, in truth the military could very well refuse to fight if Faldarun was invaded directly.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: The easiest way to reduce Faldarun's strength would be to reduce it's population and, therefore, overall GDP. A more interesting way would be to instead exacerbate some of the current weaknesses it faces. Having it currently suffering an economic downturn, or a foreign-led oil embargo, would deeply damage Faldarun in the modern day, even despite it's higher population and GDP. Additionally, a rivalry could be established with it's southern or northern neighbours, requiring a great deal of military resources to be placed to deal with those threats.

How did you hear about Aeia? Know a former member.
What other nations do you use on NS? Caltarania (my main), Tinza (another of my alts), Caerylan and Zunis (underused alts).
Roleplay sample: #1 #2 #3 #4

Any other info you wish to add: Nothing much, just that I'm of course willing to discuss changes to any and all of this app as per required.

Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): There was a few mild disputes between the colonization of Cheonsam and LaoFeiXiong in the late 1700s before it was finally colonized by TBH (war is to happen). There were already Ugyur aborigines when colonized by TBH. The culture had a deep love for the sky gods and moon. This is a country with high respect to the elderly and high acedemic standards. A lot of funding into education and military. Minimal gap between the rich and poor and high standards for equality.

Geography and climate of nation: Similar to China's most populated areas, climate of subtropical, cool but not fridgid winters and warm but not hot summers with a nice autumn breeze that flows nicely into winter. Every bi-decade there are harsh monsoons that replenish the soils.

Most comparable Real-World country and why?: China and South Korea because why not and because I wanted to be the love child of China and South Korea.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): I am the only Southeast Asian nation at the time so fitting in will not be difficult. I will welcome others with wide open arms and want world peace adn global compromise.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: I will consult others with high standards and respect from me to further know how to preceed forward. My nation isn't violent or stubborn adn willing to compromise but with good reason.

Ethnic Group(s): nKifuni, gBarpulo, Rohstian Minority
Language(s): German, nKifuni

Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): Rohstian indirect colonization has led to the country's overall poverty after being subjugated for a hundreds of years, rapacity came from afar and subjugated them for a hundred more after the colony was struck and looted and the rohstians simply didn't think it was good enough to maintain as a "colony". Independence was declared in 19xx (to be discussed with Rohst) and the new leader, Albert Zuhlfreit, seized total power and controlled his nation with an iron fist, outlawing elections and making a cult of personality out of himself. Now, his son takes his place of president of Arstvin

Capital: Bardalkirk (Secular, Official), Gnoicadjatghuen (Spiritual)
Government type: Unitary Directoral Ecclesiastical Republic
RP population: 2,402,034 Citizens
Ethnic Group(s): Babarane, with Small Pockets of Native Arabekh and Colonial Navish Minorities
Language(s): Babarane, English
GDP per capita (USD): $33,506
HDI: 0.79
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): https://www.nationstates.net/nation=bab ... ok/id=main (This page is undergoing a few points of revision, please ask for clarification if need be.)

Geography and climate of nation: Lush, forested island chain with fertile volcanic soils - the climate is cool for this part of the world, and remains largely temperate through most of the year. Summer months remain typically dry, while winters are often cooler and more damp. Each of the core islands are rooted from long-dormant or extinct volcanoes, and the northernmost of the islands are home to dramatic, jagged basaltic coastlines, while the southernmost and closest to continental Arabekh are smooth and sandy.
Most comparable Real-World country and why?: The ORBI is a hodgepodge of the Pennsylvania Colony (historical religious settlement with tolerance for other religions and secular elements), Bhutan (religious authorities acting as an arm of the government, influencing law and culture), Maritime Canada (largely independent and self-sustaining coastal settlements and a locally-centered political culture), Iran (a religious figure acting as a central figurehead, though to a lesser degree in the ORBI), and the Vatican (utilizing a large financial reserve to enhance cultural and artistic exploits domestically, along with providing developmental aid to friendly states). At its core, the ORBI is a religious state which uses culture and social mores to act in place of truly codified laws, all the while utilizing the fruits of that culture to better the world around it.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): As a beacon of political stability in the region, we seek to be a financial center and safe haven for secular and anti-extremist figures, groups, and business entities. However, as a nation founded as a series of religious colonies for a once-persecuted ethno-religious minority, the Vaveyan faith factors deeply into the culture and politics of the Isles - the newest Pontiff, Woe VIII, seeks to extend the reach of the faith and its politics to other like-minded states using soft power and cultural reach. The Isles will not be a militarily aggressive state, and will instead utilize the military's resources to aid in disaster relief and peacekeeping operations alongside allied nations, all the while working to spread the reach of the Babaran Isles' financial clout and religious power.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: We can have the Clergy's more socialistic priorities make the nation less attractive to investors, granting it less potential to be a financial center than it would be otherwise.

How did you hear about Aeia? Recommendation following the mass exodus of the now-defunct United Islands Region.
What other nations do you use on NS? None now, but play experience goes back to 2011.

It's more a manner of whatever the language of commerce is in the region at large. Babarane is the primary language, and the other is for ease of access in foreign settings. If there is a better option there, please do tell.

Mind you, the original Babaranites were an ethnic minority group, so there's not a necessary requirement for them to have a generally colonised language and culture in this case.

What other nations do you use on NS? Caltarania (my main), Tinza (another of my alts), Caerylan and Zunis (underused alts).

I feel the population is rather large for the location you have in mind, perhaps reducing this somewhat to around 90 million would be more preferable?
Furthermore, given the isolated nature for more left leaning nations in our regions current time period a gdp per capita of $41k may be pushing it. Not that this can't be rectified with later regional developments, but your country for the time being is likely to be diplomatically and economically isolated from the wider world. Your current levels would make you the most powerful country economically which currently doesn't fit with our existing regional lore following the 1st Cold War. Not that this can't change though, especially with nations such as Ovandera on the rise too.
Everything else seems perfectly acceptable however.

I take issue with your IC name, it just seems a tad, well ridiculous. 'Laoxie', 'Feichuan' or 'Xiongcai' alone however would be acceptable.
Given your current position it would be preferable for you to have previous NS RP experience, considering your gdp would put you in the top 5% of nations economically.
A reduction in GDP per capita however would be preferable, perhaps to a level mid way between that of China and South Korea. Consider the fact that this would be offset by your population size.

Any other info you wish to add (Optional): None as of this post. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have regarding my nation and its aims. Looking forward to working with you all!

Everything seems fine, except for the fact that Newreyan really isn't the language of trade. That area is considerably vague right now however. Midrasian is generally considered the language of diplomacy; from what I gather tL contends that 'Siarad' is the language of trade, even though it is english, which makes no sense since English already exists.
Nevertheless, Im sure this can be worked out later behind the scenes.
Accepted.

It's more a manner of whatever the language of commerce is in the region at large. Babarane is the primary language, and the other is for ease of access in foreign settings. If there is a better option there, please do tell.

I see. In that case, I have no other major qualms with your app. Accepted. What would the Barbaran people correlate to as an IRL ethnic/cultural group?

Definitely lower that pop. Given your land claim and how cold regions tend to not host as many people living there. Keep in mind most nations in the region don't have pops exceeding 100,000,000, and too, your GDP is also high as well. You can still maintain relatively high living standards with a lower GDP/HDI! Apart from saying what Mid said, there's no other issues I see. The region is already suffering from an influx of super duper high GDP nations as is.

Basically echoing what Midrasia said. One of those names is fine, but not all three together. Or two of them together. Also yeah, with no RP experience and taking a powerful role in the region is a littttttttle eyebrow raising.

re; population & gdp p/c; It's difficult to actually judge the longitude/latitude on the map at the time being, as I was under the assumption that the southern half or so of the country would be quite habitable. I dunno if some kinda gulf-stream-esque situation would be possible, but regardless, I'd be more than willing to drop to 91 million pop or so, under the assumption that, due to the drop in population, the GDP p/c would remain somewhat similar, as the overall GDP would drop rather significantly due to the population decrease?

IC nation name: the 6th Royal Federation of Quazira
Capital: Porto Isabella
Government type: Constitutional Monarchy with Republican Elements
RP population: 70 000 000 People
Ethnic Group(s):
Names to be determined so bare with me on that
50 % Quaziran split in 20 % Native Quaziran (descendants of the native population) and 30 % mezcla (Quaziras with mixed ancestry within the last 5 generations)
20 % Mayans
15 % Spaniards (or a equivalent suitable Civilization with southern europe origin)
10 % French (or a equivalent culture)
5 % others
Language(s): Quaziran, Native Languages
GDP per capita (USD): 15 000 $
HDI: 0,750
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki):
Freed from a kind of Simon Bolivar Figure Quazira became a Republic at first, however soon after his dead-on another revolution war his generals started a civil war in Quazira with the outcome of a conservative Monarchy that developed into a constitutional monarchy over time. The politic still has close ties to the military, kind of like Israel, however, compared to other southern and middle American nations it's kind of a democracy.
Major events were five revolutions during the last 200 years, the last one re-establishing a constitutional monarchy.

Settled around 25 000 years ago, first ancestors of Quazira came into view only ~ 5000 years ago, developing the Language of Qazi and giving the country its name. Translated it is called 'holy earth with magnificent water'. They developed a kingdom, conquered some neighbours and became a regional power within a few decades.
Nothing changed until the end of the 15th-century ad when the first colonists settled in the area. They tried to conquer Quazira for their wealth and for religious beliefs resulting in a 5-year war. The colonists partially won the war, conquering key regions while not able to beat Quazira completely. The Quazirans went into the jungle to lick their wounds and the colonists formed the second federation of Quazira. Things changed drastically after Gold was found in the mountains of the land and the so-called 'gold wars' started with huge investments from several great powers Quazira was split within several colonies. Primarily 'Spanish', 'French' and 'Germanic'.
Around 100 years later the interest of the great powers had weakened considerably, much to the dismay of the settlers who fought with angry natives, illnesses and unknown animals. By 1650 this had lead to a new type of settlers who considered themselves not part of their home countries but as people of 'Quazira'. A rise in taxes and oppression ignited the fuse. The colonies banded together and formed the third federation. Under the lead of General Isabella Rodriquez, the nation was united permanently.
Rodriquez became the first Queen of the federation, she changed the country into a constitutional queendom and gave the country a centralistic character. For 200 years this queendom was stable and the Country rose to power. At the end of the 19th Century, this 'golden age' had come to an end as the Queendom had overslept industrialization and became dependent on other nations again. They had a huge influx of immigrants at this time and their ideas made a huge impact on the working class. The revolution led to the 4th Federation, a communist state that holds only ~ 10 years. 10 years later the oldest heir came back with an army of mercenaries, conquering what he considered 'his' country. He distrusted the people after this revolution and the state got a new constitution with absolutistic elements. After the death of 'King Rodrigo the fool' his son reintroduced democracy. By 1955 the so-called 'Party of military Patriots' won the elections by a huge margin, forming the fifth federation. The reintroducing of slavery and capital punishment were only the beginning. Soon enough other measures of oppression were taken and by 1970 the King was in Exile.
This was the darkest chapter of Quaziran History and it endured until 2016 after Queen Isabella III took hold of the throne with the help of a coalition of anti-slavery nations.
Right now the Queendom is in a phase of reconstruction and opening to the world once again.

Map claim (Imgur): https://imgur.com/a/Czfa9

Geography and climate nation: 60 % of the country is mountainous terrain with many fog forests. The approximate temperature seldom drops under 20°C and the high air moisture is called one of the two hells of Quazira.
Most of the rural area deeper in the continent is not colonized, 90 % of all people are living near the coast were a mediteran climate makes the living easier, most people who are living in the tropical zone are natives, desperate people or adventurers who are looking for the one vein of Gold to make them rich. Environmental issues are a huge problem right now.
Clima:
The Clima of Quazira is mostly tropic with some mediteran influence near the ocean mostly thanks to the Quaziran Stream, one of the dominant forces in the Climatic spectrum of the region.
The Seasons are pretty much balanced with average temperatures between 20°C and 30°C. This is part of a very high air moisture and an average rainfall level of 3500 mm per m²
In the 'winter' months (June to Septembre) tropical storms are common, causing floodings and at worst moderate destructions. Also, a Monsun-Season commences from May to August. Harvests are possible all year giving an average of 2 to 4 harvests per year.
Most comparable Real-World country and why?: As you may have guessed the history is hugely influenced by 'real' history. Country wise the best go would be USCA or Columbia.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses):
Strengths:
Huge resources, particularly metals,
High manpower, compared to its size Quazira has a relatively large population
Well developed ports
relatively high stardom through the recent events
Strong Military (a heritage from 60 years of an authoritarian state)
Weaknesses:
outdated industry (if all)
outdated infrastructure
wartorn Country
Environmental Problems
Demographical problems, relatively young country (many adults died during the civil war and were victims of oppression)
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?:
On list of Priority
1. lose the Ports
2. Reduce the stardom
3. Add more negative values (eventually internal struggles due to the different cultures.)
How did you hear about Aeia? trough the recruitment thread.
What other nations do you use on NS? I had quite a few different nations, all of them are CTEd since at least a few months.

IC nation name: Republic of Luixiana (République du Luixiana)
Capital: Fort Douaumont
Government type: Bicameral Presidential Republic
RP population: 73,219,024
Ethnic Group(s): 84% Luixian, 10% Arabekhi-Luixian, 6% Indigenous peoples
Language(s): Midrasian, Arabekhi-Midrasian Creole, Indigenous languages
GDP per capita (USD): $21,231
HDI: 0.63
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): The land that was to become Luixiana was initially settled by an every changing number of indigenous nomadic tribal groups that lacked the knowledge of farming and agricultural to make any long lasting permanent settlement, which was a driving force behind the area being chosen for colonisation by the Royal Compagnie Pour La Vestrim Colonisation (RCPVC). Charles Ripualt arrived, at the head of a contingent of builders in the year 1599, of which the capital of Fort Douaumont began construction as a garrison fort, that would later be expanded as the centuries went by.

The new colony began to expand in size as it was viewed as land of opportunity for third and forth sons of great lords in Midrasia, with many moving to the colony after attaining new titles from the Crown, with a unique system of aristocracy beginning to form, reminiscint of the sons old lives in Midrasia. Following the deposing of King Hugh III, the colony sided with the Phillipites, however the distance prevented the colony from playing any major part in the event. In light of the loyalty displayed by the colony, it was renamed Luixiana, in honour of Philip V's son and future king of Midrasia, Luix XI.

The following decades consisted of the country burgeoning in population as immigrants from both Midrasia and Midrasian speaking colonies began to emigrate in search of work, of which was abundant in the vast forests and farm lands of the country, however the increasing urban population began to force the colonial leaders to industrialise the nation, so as to provide more employment opportunities, as well as build more high-rise housing for the ever increasing population. However, many began to be concerned about the increasing ethnic diversity of the immigrants. To counteract it, the Son's War began, launched by men who demanded the immigration of ethnic minorities cease. While the rebels were put down, a system of separation was instituted to satisfy the rebels while immigration from ethnic colonies was discouraged.

With the outbreak of the Great War in Asura, hundreds of thousands of Luixians volunteered within the L'Armée Continentale Force Expéditionnaire to fight with their Midrasian overlords. The Force fought in several places across the Asuran front with distinction, such as being the first units to breach the defences at Tolvas. However, the end of the war brought back an embittered generation of men, men that had lost faith in the leadership of Midrasia. This generation was nicknamed Les Radicaux due to their increasingly outspoken demands of independence. The men began to seep into the political sphere, eventually ceasing a majority in the colonial parliament and petitioned the government of Midrasia to grant the colony independence, which was done at the Congress of Lotrič.

Newly independent, the country quickly set about deciding what to do with itself. There was a major push for it to become a Kingdom with the king being chosen from one of the aristocratic families in Luixiana, however a form of Republic was chosen, with Dominique Roché being chosen as the first president and laid the foundations for the current way Luixiana runs. For the rest of the century, Luixiana has been in political gridlock with many of its Vestrim neighbours, instead searching abroad for allies and has maintained close links with Midrasia.
Map claim (Imgur):In light purple

Geography and climate of nation: Luixiana enjoys a very temperate climate, with the coast having the greatest number of population and greatly urbanised, with the interior of the copuntry being dominated by farmlands, estates, and woodlands.
Most comparable Real-World country and why?: Quebec, due to the it being colonial French, and a mix of early 1900s England as there is a strong aristocracy that is still maintained within the nation.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses):
Strengths: Motivated Populace
Industrialised
Well funded military

Weaknesses: Population divided among racial lines
Military is largely untested in modern war
Strict class system

Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): There was a few mild disputes between the colonization of Cheonsam and LaoFeiXiong in the late 1700s before it was finally colonized by TBH (war is to happen). There were already Ugyur aborigines when colonized by TBH but were almost completely wiped out by the Ganmao Flu which the TBH brought over from their country of origin. The TBH were immune to the flu but sadly the Ugyur aborigines were not, thus causing their almost extinction. The aborigines were finally saved when their gods sent them the cure in the form of a plant that was before deemedd poisonous. The aborigines cooked the plant and drank the broth for several days. In a few weeks the entire tribe was cured.

If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Bring down the military, as well as its population, as well as recommendations from the Board

I think we would have to discuss a number of matters in regards to Luixana, namely how the country gained independence and its relationship with Midrasia. Midrasia certainly wouldn't wish to have anything like good relations with what is effectively an apartheid state, and the relationship would likely be similar to that of the UK and the Union of South Africa or Rhodesia.
Otherwise, I guess this can be worked out after the fact, accepted.

Although this is not true it is true that at night the weather would be below zero and in the afternoon it would reach 30°C.
Most comparable Real-World country and why?:
Poland due to a similar similar culture and a sort of similar language. It's also due to numbers, our HDI is very similar and so is our GDP per capita.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses):
Our strengths are a very strong national unity thanks to patriotism for the nation which in our political unity against mostly anything considered leftist; about eighty-nine percent of the population is Catholic. The HDI is high and society is very competitive with the economy being descent at comparison to other nations; corruption is among the lowest in the region.

However, Waersia lacks an essential military both in numbers and in equipment. The economy although good along with the standard of living it yet is not that well performed when compared to other nations in Asura.

In any way necessary.

IC nation name: Hallegian Cooperative Union
Capital: Upemiqqun (Apemikón)
Government type: Federal Corporatist Technocratic Republic
RP population: on wiki
Ethnic Group(s): General European/Native American yet to be specified
Language(s): Icelandic, Whatever my neighbors speak, Inuit, Cree, Aleut
GDP per capita (USD): on wiki
HDI: on wiki
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): wiki | Hallegia is a country that exemplifies the aspirations of socialist, liberal and progressive thought (or rather, its assumed logical conclusion). Founded in the 16th century as a federation of autonomous republics modeled to the Republican enlightenment, the old order would later be supplanted by the current polity after the excesses of gilded industrialism in the country.

Today, Hallegia is a technocratic and corporatist (some can say socialistic) republic, defined by its technological advancement, complete supplantation of old society, mutualist economics, social justice and excellent protection of human rights. Despite its technocratic character, Hallegian governments institute different experiments in democracy, ranging from the typical liberal democratic form to the most direct and electronic form. Sustainable and ecological development is the law of the land. Leading advancements in design, science and technology the country sets itself apart from its neighbors and partners in the International Accords Organization, relentless innovator. All the trappings of a cosmopolitan utopia, however, is the thickest, most obscure façade in the world.

Hallegia's survival, stability and prosperity is held at gunpoint by the upper technocracy. The current society is crested by the subtle hand of social engineering through its projects, policy and a viciously effective secret police. The government's intelligence service immediately liquidates or apprehends anyone who expresses "reactionary" or "potentially-undermining" thought in varying degrees of brutality (and secrecy). Any organizations or individuals that survive such ordeal are closely monitored and influenced by the state to obscurity. Information defined as memetic hazards or potentially dangerous to the overton window are expunged with utmost discretion. In the limelight, Hallegia has gotten criticism for its paternalistic and intrusive actions amongst disenfranchised states under the guise of development. With the essentially invisible omnipotence of the Union Office of Security and Public Safety and the Union Office of State Strategy, its foreign policy might be the only thing that reaches the light of day.

Map claim (Imgur): Hopefully i'd someday claim all of the antarctic

Geography and climate of nation: continental, temperate to tundra.
Most comparable Real-World country and why?: Neofuturist Canadian Greenland.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): Hallegia boasts one of the most technologically advanced militaries in the world, though possible belligerence with neighboring (and possibly hostile) neighbors down south could keep such capabilities in a limited area. Cultural and economic soft power has been one of the driving forces of Hallegian foreign policy, preferring to export much of its cultural capital, resources and technology to firms and countries with keen interest (corroding the "roots of reaction" vs confronting it). With this, the Cooperative Union is a key player in the development of the global "liberal leftist" bloc, and substantial financier of the organization and its programs.

While internally, its (exterior) politics advocate for the country to be a much more prominent player in the world stage, the current leadership prefers a policy of pluralistic cooperation with its partners, preferring to maintain the relatively neutral status quo. Kak is going to say "ew" to me in DMs every five seconds once this gets greenlighted. But fuck it, Faldarun gets most of our exports anyway (that's definitely a problem).

If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Pop reduction, canon change, usual package.

How did you hear about Aeia? Migrants to Esquarium happened. Also Faldarun came here, might as well.

Capital: Prayjan
Government type: Unitary dominant-party semi-presidential republic
RP population: 40 million
Ethnic Group(s): Uwhi (Azerbaizani), minorities from another countries such as Ohen, Elhazia, Rumelia, and even Sagalash
Language(s): Uwhi (Azerbaijani)
GDP per capita (USD): 23.874
HDI: 0.759
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): Uwhistan is a rising democracy, even though its constant dispute with Sagalash. Uwhistan has faced some problems with corruption for the last years, however, the recent oil founded on the (insert name of the little internal sea) has led the country to a growth in the economy. Sectors as agriculture and tourism have a huge impact in the Uwhistani economy. The Irsad population is very huge in Uwhistan. Is believed that Irsad people migrated from the Majulan continent to Catai, where they settled mainly on the Rumelian and Uwhistani region. Alydianism has also a strong presence in the country, as its neighbor, Ehlazia, is mainly Alydianist. A small percentage of the population consider themselves as Truathists.

The biggest cities are located alongside the coast, however, the big City of Aspor is located on the northwest Plato, where the great (insert name of lake) can be found.
Nowadays, Sagalash is the main rival of Uwhistan. A few territorial disputes and lots of international influence has led both countries to the limit of tension several times. The territories of Stëlangjë in Sagalash and Budryisia in Uwhistan are the main disputed ones. The borders between both countries also have a few enclaves and exclaves, which helps to rise the tension.

Uwhistan was once under the control of the ASU, but gained independence in 1981, after the ASU civil war. The nation took some years to recover itself, but with help of (insert name of major international bloc), the country was able to keep a balanced and stable economy.

Geography and climate of nation: Pretty much like Caucasus region ish, but fitting the spot i've choose is enough for me.
Most comparable Real-World country and why?: Azerbaijan, mostly because of the relation Uwhistan has with Sagalash (Armenia).
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): I plan to have Uwhistan as a regional (south Catai) power, and a rising international power, both militaristic and economic speaking. The very recent oil discovery and international investment has helped a lot with the Uwhistani development.
