IC nation name: Caonaguey
Capital: Prinzdorf
Government type: Unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy
RP population: 18,034,000
Ethnic Group(s): 80.6% Mixed (Taino and White), 12.7% White, 5.1% Taino, 1.6% Other
Language(s): Mascyllan, Caonagueyan Creole
GDP per capita (USD): $10,826
HDI: 0.801
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): Caonaguey was originally inhabited by native Taíno people until the arrival of Mascyllan explorers. Until the mid 20th century the country was a territory of Mascylla until it was granted independence. The country chose to retain the Mascyllan monarchy due to their popularity and for a sense of stability following a tumultuous period. Following independence the politics of the nation was dominated by the Caonaguey National People's Party until the 1987 election when the Caonaguey Labour Party won a landslide victory. The Labour Party's republican views led to the 1990 constitutional referendum which divided the nation severely with 62% of voters choosing to retain the Mascyllian monarch and 38% voting in favour of a Republic. Since the 1987 election many smaller parties have emerged and the country has reformed it's electoral system to allow for these parties to be given representation. This has caused some instability with no government since 2001 lasting for longer than 3 years. As of recent years the question of the monarchy has become a major issue once again with parties which hold republican values controlling as much as 30% of the seats in the nations legislature.
Map claim (Imgur): https://i.imgur.com/bo5a8SJ.jpg

Geography and climate of nation: The country has a warm tropical climate. The main island of Caonaguey has a mountainous interior with the south-west being particularly mountainous. The Prinzdorf peninsula in the south-east of the country is very flat with it being home to the nations capital and largest city.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): The nation will mostly interact within it's own area and with it's former colonial overlord, Mascylla. The nations biggest weakness is it's weak armed forces due to the nation feeling there is little need for a well-prepared army.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Reduce the population of the nation.

How did you hear about Aeia? From Mascylla/Concleror
What other nations do you use on NS? Eurian Islands (INWU), Veniasufia (The Versutian Federation), Datvang (Anteria)

HDI: 0.698
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): IIWiki
Map claim (Imgur):

Geography and climate of nation: The country has a varied and vibrant landscape, from a hilly, heavily forested landscape in the northern reaches with Kagon, rolling plains and scrubland in the Togacien Matav, the White Desert to the Southeast, and to a richly biodiverse tropical landscape in the Southern regions of the country. The coastlines are often mild, albeit warm, hosting a Mediterranean-type climate. Because of their breaktaking vistas, rich blue water, and productive and protected fisheries, the nation's coastal zones are among the most populated and valuable not only in the country, but in the Tropics and Global Equatorial zone at large.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses):
Marensais foreign policy is largely focused on promoting stability, peace, and class/racial equity on the Majulan Continent, though it also sticks its neck out into Arabekhi affairs from time to time, usually when it involves its allies Hipasia and Onza. While technologically and fiscally on par with some low-to-middle-tier Asuran economies, even hosting its own cosmodrome and a young space program and rich with natural resources, it is still considered a recently-industrialized nation and suffers from systemic inneficiencies due to a combination of its socialist policies, still-developing transport and power infrastructure outside of the core districts, and political and ethnic divides which predate the establishment of the PDR.

The legacy of a major economic and government corruption scandal still affects the national discourse, as well as a steady undercurrent of ethnic nationalism, coupled with doubt in the government's integrity, though current policy and officeholders are working primarily to restore the confidence of the Marensais people to enforce the Marensais national identity.

These aside, the dispute over the Northern Nosia Territory with Midrasia, as well as issues of crime (primarily smuggling) from and into the Midrasian Fortnouveau Territory remain a primarily issue for the country in the realm of foreign affairs. Tensions have also arisen in recent years between Marensoald and some of its neighbors, especially in relations to the Aramas Conflict, which it sent Volunteer Corps and Materiel Support to the Republican and Gabbarettist forces for. Following their defeat, a number of Aramasian refugees and dissidents have fled to Marensoald, while its neighbors, primarily Kagon, see this as a return to a more outwardly aggressive and anti-reactionary military power - especially as this new glut of experienced military officers and fighters merge into the Marensais political and military fold. While cooperative with Asura for decades, only time will tell if Marensoald will return to its status as a wildcard in global politics, especially in the face of political inaction from the traditional great powers of Asura.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Obviously the big one would be our development of nuclear weapons - Mid and I are discussing how to keep it part of the nation's history, and quite possibly making it a disarmed nation a la South Africa, which is very likely the route I'll be taking unless a different approach can be settled on. This aside, I really don't see the PDR being a major player in a ton of world events, and I'll largely avoid involvement in Asura-specific issues unless a clear stake for Marensoald can be found. These aside, if needed I could lower the HDI or population if requested to do so, whichever seems suitable to the larger scheme of Aeian geopolitics.

IC nation name: Wall Kauyar Pi-Mapu/Kingdom and Dominion of Khaujjar
Capital: Manyei
Government type: Absolute Monarchy
RP population: 8,890,876
Ethnic Group(s): 76% Kau, the main ethnic group defined by their language isolate and their unique culture. They inhabit the Home Islands and the Eastern Peninsula
20% Newequit, the nomadic inhabitants of the icy interior. They are considered to be the natives.
3% Afro-Kau, an old community descended from escaped slaves. They live mostly in Manyei and other urban centers.
1% Liidurian, descended from colonists who dwelled in whaling towns purchased by the Liidurian crown.
Language(s): Kau, Newequit, Liidurian
GDP per capita (USD): 43, 567 USD
HDI: .901
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): Khaujjar was initially populated by proto-Newequit peoples who established the Great Innuq civilization in 2500 BCE, establishing extensive terrace farms through the Home Islands and the arable areas of the mainland. This civilization was particularly long lived, only collapsing in the 800s CE due to a famine coinciding with the invasion of the Kau people from an area around Renneque. The Kau quickly came to establish themselves as the majority on the home islands, copying old Great Innuq technology and eventually building the civilization that would result in the Khaujjari state.

800s-1429/The Dreamtime:
Kau warlords fought with each other during this time for supremacy over the Home Islands, and shortly after the first written records of the history of the islands came about. Ancient Newequit obelisks around the area are much older, but only display both place names and the names of local personalities. The Kau wrote down on parchment their sagas, both legendary and historical, recording down the raiding exploits up to the Columbian Sea and against their Newequit neighbors. During the tail-end of this time, the concept of the Toqui and Roundhouse Councils came through. The Toqui was a sort of hereditary "senator" of sorts who would occupy a seat on the Roundhouse Council, which in turn created ethnoreligious laws that every Kau was bound to. The Dreamtime was considered to be the first Golden Age of Kau history, which ended during a mysterious plague that preludes the arrival of Asuran explorers to the area.

1429-1710/Resistance to Colonialism and the arrival of Irsadi influence:
Khaujjar, after the plague, was vulnerable and easily taken over by Midrasian and Liidurian sailors. In order to gain material wealth, several Toquis sold patches of land to Midrasia and Liiduria in exchange for yearly tribute, which amounted to little. Some other Toquis fought back against the Asurans and enlisted the help of both natives and escaped slaves to the north, which introduced the Irsadic religion to the area (although it would not become a majority until the 1800s.)

1710-1756/The Maulemaule Period:

The Roundhouse Council was not called since 1429, and because of a land dispute between the ancient Newequit Kinookqui clan and the poorer Kau Galvarnin clan that turned bloody the April of 1710, it was called for the first time. The arguments on both sides could not sway the thirty Toqui into voting one way or the other, and the Kinookqui clan decided to destroy the Galvarnin clan once and for all.

The Galvarnin clan happened to be the clan who converted to Irsad the earliest, being founded by a Kau warrior and his escaped slave wife twenty years earlier. The Kinookqui decided to rally a few other clans under the banner of religious conflict because of this, forcing the Toqui of the Galvarnin clan to press his blood bond alliances and make his stand. Defeating the Kinookqui forces in a shocking battle at the Nequki Cliffs, the Galvarnin clan managed to defeat them eventually after a bloody war prolonged by trade in firearms via the Liidurians and Midrasians. During this time, the Kau found their affinity in battle and acclimated to Asuran warfare.

1756-1855/The Galvarnin Toquiate:

The Galvarnin clan, victorious over their enemies, reorganized the islands under a firmer union of Toqui and fixed the Roundhouse Council system to be both permanent and to have a figurehead under the Lonko, which would always be held by the Galvarnins in perpetuity. During this time, Irsad and the native religion of the Kau became syncretized. Asuran powers also increasingly took interest in the icy islands due to the richness of minerals and fur trapping in the area, and interests in exploring Frigidarum further.

1855-1922: Ezra I, and Modern Khaujjar.

Ezra Galvarnin took over the Toquiate in 1848, but he saw the future of his people under Asuran rule as the end of Kau history as one would know it today. He took steps to make Khaujjar more united, inviting scholars from Catai to make Khaujjari Irsad more orthodox and to cleanse it of old pagan rituals accumulated from years of isolation. He then sent excursions to the mainland, either subjugating or gaining the loyalty of Newequit nomadic tribes, and destroying any Kau clan that stood in his way. He then turned to cleansing Khaujjar of Asuran influence, forcibly kicking out the Midrasian colonial presence and cutting a deal with the Liidurian settlers for them to convert to Irsad in exchange for preference in the new modern government. After the unity of Khaujjar was complete, he rested and then presided over making friendly relationships with nearby countries and repaired relations with Asura, even participating in World War 1. He died of old age at 103.

Modern Era: coming soon brb

Map claim (Imgur): https://imgur.com/a/23aBfre

Geography and climate of nation: Islands are peat bogs and cold temperate forests with fjord coasts, the mainland is tundra or permafrost.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): Khaujjar is a petrostate, but the climate and geographical position would hamper their ambitions.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: I believe it's reasonable, but I'd decrease the GDP per capita.

IC nation name: Parhe
Capital: Hamheung
Government type: Constitutional Monarchy
RP population: 75-90 million (preferably higher near 88)
Ethnic Group(s): 81% Korean/9% Asuran/6% Tungusic/4% Other
Language(s): Korean, French, and Italian.
GDP per capita (USD): 15K. I would hoping that would be nominal per capita with PPP being about 28K.
HDI: Would depend on approved GDP per capita. Basing schooling years and life expectancy on basically RL South Korea.
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): Before the arrival of Asuran colonizers, modern day Parhe was a collection of principalities and city states with overlapping areas of influence and loyalties, based on the real life mandala system of Indochina. A sense of nationalism or loose cultural unity takes hold during the 1500s but escalating infighting prevents the establishment of any central power. Aquidneck and Midrasia arrive in the mid 1600s and begin to take control over the region by sowing division among the semi-independent statelets; while some areas are taken by war and conquest, other areas voluntarily surrender. Outside of a few coastal cities, which fall under the control of Aquidneck, and minor polities in the mountainous interior, which remain nominally independent yet ruled by puppets, Midrasia gains full control of modern day Parhe during the 1700s. The specifics of colonial rule have not yet been fleshed out regarding the administration structure or treatment of natives. It was discussed that, during the time, there was a steady flow of immigrants from mainland Aquidneck and Midrasia, mainly merchants, military personnel, administrators, and missionaries, who currently form a disproportionately large fraction of the Parhic upper class. At some point in the nineteenth to twentieth century, Midrasia gains control of all Aquidneck possessions in Parhe except for Mayawi, which is permanently annexed by Aquidneck. Evangelical forces from Asura are successful in converting many natives to the Orthodox Church of Alydianism. Though early attempts were made to introduce industry to Parhe and replace the centuries old domestic system during the colonial period, they largely failed from inefficiency, resulting in Parhe remaining agrarian and dependent upon Midrasia for most manufactured goods. The region was peacefully decolonized following a decade of negotiation with the Parhic Handover Ceremony of 1984 (yes, stolen from the Hong Kong Handover Ceremony), with sovereignty being transferred to the Federation of Parhe, a collection of kingdoms cities in the north which previously remained independent in name as Midrasian protectorates. Asuran forces have remained in Parhe since to guarantee protection from its hostile neighbor to the east. Parhe embarked on a path of industrialization in the last years of Midrasian rule, establishing strong trade relations and, after independence, securing aid, largely in the form of low interest loans, from Aquidneck and Midrasia to help fund infrastructure projects, support local business, and invest in education. Official name of Parhe probably changed later on but not entirely sure to what.
Map claim (Imgur): I would like the grey plot west of Ashihara and south of Tangkuo.

Geography and climate of nation: The northern interior of Parhe is mountainous with a number of wide river basins in which the population is concentrated. Outside of the cities and below the tree line, northern Parhe is dominated by temperate forest habitats. Coastal and southern Parhe was historically dominated by tropical jungles, parts of which has been deforested in the past century to make way for agriculture or otherwise transformed into subtropical grasslands. I guess my RL inspiration was mostly based on eastern China, the US South, Kyushu, and the east coast of southern Brazil. All areas roughly the same distance from the Earth's equator as Parhe from Aeia's equator.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): I guess another Asuran friendly nation in Yidao with close amicable ties to former colonizers Aquidneck and Midrasia. Relations with neighbor Ashihara are very hostile while relations with Tangkuo, which shares minimal cultural ties with Parhe, tend to be neutral to cordial. Haven't decided whether Parhe will lean towards neutrality or more militarily invested, deciding based on what really gets fleshed out regarding relations with Ashihara and Asuran powers.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: I'd be most open to just lowering my population, though I'd then ask to lower the percentage of minority groups. Also may instead opt to lower my GDP per capita depending on to what extent.

How did you hear about Aeia? Just surfing NS region list.
What other nations do you use on NS? None really. I do use World Assembly Representatives of Parhe for the world assembly or, on rare occasions, politics.
Roleplay sample (Optional, though required for claiming a more powerful role): I don't really have anything. From a while ago.

Any other info you wish to add (Optional): Please of accept me. Ranges for population and GDP per capita are what I would prefer, anything in between.

EDIT 01: GDP per capita lowered.

Koboku wrote:
IC nation name: The Community of Koboku
Capital: Karigane
Government type: Communist Cooperative
RP population: 35,867,890
Ethnic Group(s): 73% Kobukese, the population descended from Ashiharan Treasure Fleet migrants and Asuran migrants who came during the 1850' Gold Rush
15% Afro-Kobukese, descendants of slaves and other groups that have mixed with them.
10% Foreign Immigrants, any group that came after the abolition of the Immigration Restriction Act of 1898.
2% Ikku-Inok, the natives of Kobuko that have lived on the island since the 3000s BCE.
Language(s): Kobukese Ashiharan, a divergent dialect of Ashiharan that has been heavily influenced by Asuran languages.
GDP per capita (USD): 15,659 ASD
HDI: .833
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): Koboku was formed via the convergence of two seafloor rifts, creating a volcanic island with a mild climate rich in minerals. The island was uninhabited by humans until the arrival of proto-Inok tribesmen to the island, who began using the island as a jumping point for hunting furred animals and trading them with mainland Vestric tribes. Soon, notable civilizations became important on the island, primarily the Ikku-Inok, who built Inok Korok (a massive fortified city) inland and was able to unite every single native tribe for a small while, until their collapse in 1700.

Due to Ashihara's interest in finding new trade routes among the Jade Ocean, the island was discovered by accident. The early Ashiharan explorers on the island immediately noticed that the island seemed near perfect for human settlement; the natives were going through a plague which the explorers were seemingly immune to, the area where they landed was a harbor surrounded by delightful redwoods that gave off a pleasant smell. This named the island Kobuko, or Fragrant Wooden (harbor). Continued immigration to the island continued from Ashihara as destitute beggars, criminals, pirates, and peasants made their way to the island to start over. Many notable buildings like the Moon Temple (a Taido shrine) in 1733 and the Pagoda Congregation (the oldest Irsadi mosque in Vestrim) in 1789 being built in the capital of Karigane.

In 1826, the countless coastal communities gathered in Karigane to create a power sharing constitution, determining a rule by republican democracy was the best direction for the fledgling nation. The Republic of Koboku soon took control of Koboku-jima and nearby Hari-jima over the next twenty years, fully controlling the two islands by 1847. The following year, a prospecting company determined that Koboku was incredibly rich in gold and silver, and the Conservative Concern government under President Taji Kimura allowed unrestricted immigration to the islands in order to create a surge of wealth and to gain extra laborers. Slaves were also important to fill the interim need for manual labor, building railroads and factories while the immigrants and Ashiharans cultivated their wealth. Due to unrestricted immigration, the demographics of Koboku became lopsided. More men than women were in the nation by 1850, and by 1860, a massive amount of Asuran immigrants outnumbered the Ashiharan citizens. After a brief civil war over ethnic lines, the Ashiharans emerged dominant, severely restricted immigration to the point of a total ban in 1898, and encouraged the existing immigrants to adopt a more Ashiharan culture. Soon, the ethnic groups found common ground and mixed, creating the modern Kobukese nation.

Koboku was known to be a miraculous nation, hosting some of the most successful corporations from the 1900s to the 1970s. Politically, the nation became an oligarchy, with 271 of 272 senators being billionaires by 1930, while the poorer, ethnically mixed population languished in low wages and long workweeks. During the 1960s and 1970s, far-left anti-government movements became popular in the nation, goaded on by the Full Gospel Alydian sect founded in the 1950s to unite the countless independent churches among the poor into one. At the vanguard of this movement was a former advertising executive for Newsweflaander Beer named Jiro Tsuji, who went through a catrastrophic crisis of faith and converted to Full Gospelism in 1957. He politically opposed the dictatorship of Doi Tjuiyama, the President of Koboku from 1950-1978, and the Conservative Concern party which turned into a near-fascist organization. Formally taking up arms against the Doi dictatorship in the 1960s, the Jiroists finally killed, captured, or ejected every pro-government individual of importance, and with the support of the people formed the Community of Koboku. His rule over the island was peaceful and saw the redistribution of wealth to the people, with little decrease in overall wealth. However, Jiro Tsuki was assassinated by the extremist Taido organization Os-hoi in 2001, leading the the sect being outlawed. After a council rule from 2001-2016, the leadership passed down to Zoe Tsuki, Jiro's daughter. She is determined to spread the doctrine of Eternal Holy Revolution through the world, and this attitude has led to a resurgence of far-right activity, notably a massive anti-government rally spearheaded by the Os-hoi cult, which led to 7,000 deaths and an attempt on Comrade Tsuki's life. Due to this, Koboku is determined to returning stability to the nation at all costs.

I am skeptical about many aspects of your nation. I do not mind the overall concept, but I take issue with how overwhelmingly powerful your nation would be. You seem competent enough to steer a powerful nation, but I would definitely need some RP samples before we could even talk about meeting you some steps down from where you currently are. Here're my specific reservations:
  • Your only listed weakness is that it will be "opposed by most nations." One, you cannot control for this, which means it may not happen in practice and you won't be beholden to any weakness. Two, this is not a real weakness. I'd counter that many of our own communist states would rally behind a communist superpower, were one to exist. By weaknesses, I'm wanting to see things that balance your nation. My nation, for example, is economically volatile and is partly an oil-based economy that could expire at any time. It also has a mediocre military. This is single-handedly the most thing I would advise you to change.
  • Your stats aren't that problematic. I wonder if your population would need to be lowered given your map claim, though. An opportunity for the first point here could be ridiculous population density, and the many problems that yields.
  • "... with 271 of 272 senators being billionaires by 1930 ..." Hopefully this doesn't come across as rude, but I would delete this sentence altogether. Rich senators could be a nice bit of flair, but this is way overboard.
I think working this application into something good is very doable, but it would just require nerfing your nation into a more reasonable place. You are allowed to be a powerplayer so long as you meet the requirements, but right out of the door this is too strong for my acceptance. Let's work together to make this work.

Proposed new island in the red circle area. My nation is only to be very small, around 6,000 square kilometers, so the new island would be a tiny addition.

Geography and climate of nation: Temperate, similar to that of RL British Isles. See also factbook linked above.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): As a tiny nation as small as proposed, Tcergaul would have little to no major impact on the current regional power structure. At best it would be desired as a strategic outpost by some continental nations to safeguard their own coasts from a distance.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Reducing the economic strength of the nation.

What other nations do you use on NS? None

Any other info you wish to add (Optional): Currently university is taking the bulk of my time and attention, so the tiny nation here reflects the kind of small commitment I can put into NS at the moment. Small in size/quantity, but high in quality.

I do want to invite in people who can contribute high-quality posts, even if it's superficial stuff. However, I think we have enough microstates currently, and yours is a bit too rich and developed even for its size. I would encourage you to consider applying as a bit larger nation and balancing it as a mid-level or lower-mid-level economic power. That should give you little pressure to be an international player but still allow you the flexibility to write up whatever sort of news posts you want. You can keep the overall nation idea, but I would just advocate for something more tangible and larger. I'm happy to work this out with you more, so feel free to DM me. I'll summarize and post any agreements we reach on this thread so the other panelists can see it -- you would just need to update your application accordingly.

How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): The nation will mostly interact within it's own area and with it's former colonial overlord, Mascylla. I'm always hesitant to speak to the map claims of island applicants, so be wary that you may be asked to change that particular portion. I honestly think you could up your GDPPC a bit to say around $15,000 or $20,000, but that's entirely up to you. I think you're fine otherwise. Accepted!

Oh and before I forget, even though this probably goes without saying, make sure you are clear with Mascylla about anything that has a concrete impact on their lore.

(Image)

How did you hear about Aeia?
What other nations do you use on NS? Koboku, but I gave up on it
Roleplay sample (Optional, though required for claiming a more powerful role): coming soon

Any other info you wish to add (Optional):

I see that you are Koboku. I'm leaving my feedback on that application in this post just because a) it can be useful to people looking for how we generally handle apps and b) in case you want to revisit the idea, I think it could be modified to work. Either way, here're my thoughts on this app:

I'm going to defer your map claim to Mid himself when he goes to put you down. That said, we generally don't like when people create their own landmasses that are arbitrary rather than utilizing existing ones. I would say nix the added islands.

Your concept is fine, and I'm glad to see you're taking initiative with your history writing. I would make sure you are building it in cohesion with as many other nations in the region as you can. I saw you doing some of this in the Discord, so I'm sure you're fine, but I just wanted to state it for the record. You perfectly anticipated the call for a reduced GDPPC. Tone it down to around $32-$35k and you'll have my approval there. If you wanted to give your population a slight buff, that's fair, but no more than an additional 7 million folks. I would ask that you chop your HDI down to a .8xx. It'd still be very high and it'd bring in line with where I'm recommending your GDPPC be.

Final thing: I would say bring more tangible weaknesses out on your app, just like I suggested for Koboku. This isn't as much of a problem this time around, though.

If you can make these small tweaks I'll happily give your first acceptance.

Your population is higher than most new applicants, but you're applying for a region where that is common. I see you already lowered your GDPPC, which was a good move. I think you're good to go. Accepted, and looking forward to having you involved!

I am reapplying Songdang due to fairly large change in location and intention from the original version. I have worked out with Parhe various lore aspects that would be shared by both nations since we are both based on Korea and using similar language and people.

IC nation name: Republic of Songdang - 송당 공화국
Capital: Sanjae
Government type: Unitary presidential constitutional republic
RP population: Was previously 16 million. I am asking for it to be more like 11 million.
Ethnic Group(s): 89% Songdangin/Yemaek - 7% Ashiharan - 4% Other
Language(s): Yemaekeo (Korean), Aquidish (Italian)
GDP per capita (USD): Was previously 14,500 more like ~13,125 now.
HDI: Was .762 changed to .741
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): Korean type clans lived in the area in a feudal society ruled by a prince. Aquidish colonizers/explorers show up in late 1700s. Establish trade city in Mayawi before moving inland. Eventually take over with Princely family left in power nominally (protectorate status) this would be late 1800s. Ashihara falls into civil war and Aquidneck leaves its areas there in 1927. This causes increased militarization of Songdang/Mayawi to protect it from Ashiharan warlords. Songdang gets independence more or less peacefully 1960 after massive demonstrations and riots. First government was pretty not democratic but with aid from outside world it is becoming more stable as a democracy. The economy causes issues though. Maintains alliance with Aquidneck out of necessity from fears of Ashihara and to a much lesser extent Parhe trying to absorb them.

Map claim (Imgur): I spoke to Parhe and we agreed that Songdang could be a smaller nation between Parhe and Ashihara. Mayawi would be a much smaller city-state island similar to Hong Kong on the south coast.

https://imgur.com/dzAt3Bs

Something like this maybe less ugly also probably smaller.

Geography and climate of nation: Similar to real life Korea and Japan. The Western border with Parhe could be a river of some kind? Maybe it is a plain that could be used for invasion from Ashihara into Parhe and that is why Parhe is content to let Songdang/Aquidneck remain there to be a buffer/military check on Ashihara?

How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): It would be a minor state trying to develop. Heavily dependent on aid from larger Parhe and Asuran states. Maintains a militarized border with Ashihara similar to DMZ but not as intense.

If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Less people?

How did you hear about Aeia? I live here
What other nations do you use on NS? Aquidneck
Roleplay sample (Optional, though required for claiming a more powerful role):

Any other info you wish to add (Optional): Turtles are pretty cool.

IC nation name: Tercera Republica de Islas de Caquita (Republic of the Caquita Islands) Shortend to the Caquita Islands
Capital: Cascara
Government type: De jure democratic presidential republic, de facto corrupt "failed state" presidential republic.
RP population: 22,673,500
Ethnic Group(s): Veleazan Mestitzo, Midrasian Mestitzo, Newreyans, Some natives, Mullato blacks
Language(s): Veleazan, Newreyan
GDP per capita (USD): 14,420
HDI: 0.769
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): Caquita, otherwise known as the Caquita Islands, are a chain of islands comprising a large portion of the Eastern Columbian sea. The nation, although described as a democratic presidential republic, is really a corrupt, drug ridden, malarious nation described sometimes as a failed state. The nation was declared independent 3 times in it's history and has had 7 monarchs, 82 presidents, and 176 parliaments. The island of Qanaco was sighted by Leidenese explorers in 1541. Although the Leidenese pursued several coastal settlements and whaling stations on Qanaco, they began to focus on their other colonial endeavors further east. Veleaz, eager to acquire resourceful new islands, sent a man by the name of Domingo Verezano to scout out the island. The areas of Qanaco which were not discovered by Leiden were quickly mapped by 1560 and most of the natives were quickly suppressed. Ciudad Verezano today is located where Domingo Verezano set up his first colonial camp in 1554. Leiden abandoned the island in 1565 leaving some resources for the Veleazan colonists to acquire. The settlements were reinhabited by colonists, and the first sugar and coconut plantations were established.

By 1650 the whole island chain had been claimed by Veleaz. After the conclusion of several long wars with natives, full control over plantations and settlements began by the Tolvas government. In the 1600s, around 50,000 black slaves were bought in from Arabekh and Majula. Those that escaped became known as Soldados granates or maroon soldiers. Domingo Verezano's family line had made up all of the governors of any colonies in the Caquitas since the Captaincy of the Islas de Caquitas was established under Domingo the Discoverer in 1572. In 1664, however, his great grandson Domingo attempted to shake the shackles of Veleazan government, by secretly supporting a Soldados granates and native rising. Once Veleaz temporarily retreated, he launched his mutiny and locked out any Tolvas-loyal troops. He declared the Caquita Kingdom, with himself as King Domingo I. Throughout his "reign" countless small rebellions, states and enclaves sprung up. By 1670 all of Qanaco island was once again Veleazan, and Isla Cremita was controlled by mulatto blacks. It was in this time that the first major mestitzo races began to form. Domingo was assassinated in 1674, but his young son became Domingo II. He bought order, levied taxes and formed a secret police. He delcraed war on Veleaz, and retook Qanaco in 1679. His rule became the Monarchical Golden Age.

Domingo II's rule was abruptly ended by his sudden heart attack in 1701. Following this, civil war and lawless anarchy ran rife. Many of Caquita's plantations were destroyed and any trade it had ended. Poverty and death became the hallmarks of the failing kingdom. Between 1701 and 1710, 3 king held the throne, including Domingo III between 1707 and 1709. His successor, his father's aide Juan Dio, outsted him but was brutally hacked to death by escaped slaves in 1710. Domingo III re-ascended to power, but never managed to regain Qanaco from Veleaz. His rule was marked with desperate rebuilding, but also societal change.

In 1757 Domingo III's son Juan I was killed. Isla Cremita was seized by Veleaz shortly afterwards. A native named Percy attempted to gain the throne, which he did for 3 months. Following his killing by Veleazan troops, Newrey began further settlement in Caquita, taking over the Sudina islands in 1759. By 1760 Veleaz had recolonized the whole archipelago except for the Sudinas. The last rebellions ceased to exist and Veleaz began a steady rule of the islands, reaping brand newly planted resources. By 1805, however, white, republican rebellion was brewing. The levying of taxes and removal of rights of anyone not fully Veleazan angered mestitzo and even full-bloods. In 1812, multiple mestitzo leaders met and drew up a plan for revolution. Across the islands Veleazan soldiers were quickly defeated. The islands were fully blockaded, and the king of Veleaz lost interest in another war. The Republic of the Caquita Islands was declared on November 30, 1814. The Island of Qacano's people insisted on remaining Veleazan, but a false-flag operation in which "Veleazan" soldiers (actually Republic troops) burnt a whole village for no reason inspired Qanaco to join the republic as its 8th state.

Since 1820 there have been countless governments and civil wars in the modern age, malaria and narcotics plague the corrupt nation of the Caquita Islands. Society is now turning to the left, but conservatism and even fascism is remaining powerful following the most recent civil war of 1980-1995. The nation is also suffering from economic trouble and reliance on international aid.
Map claim (Imgur): https://i.imgur.com/UU5hbHV.gif In the purple

Geography and climate of nation: The islands are mainly tropical, with warm, wet climates. Mainly jungle interior and coral reefs along sandy, sunny shorelines.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): It will fit in as an international narcotics center, and a large Columbian sea nation. Weaknesses are poor economy, narcotics, civil conflict.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Less land and pop.

Weaknesses: ecological disaster, faux democracy, national security is moslty private
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: nation prone to natural disasters, rural revolts and economical crisis, if necesary.

How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): The nation will mostly interact within it's own area and with it's former colonial overlord, Mascylla.

The nation was declared independent 3 times in it's history and has had 7 monarchs, 82 presidents, and 176 parliaments. The island of Qanaco was sighted by Leidenese explorers in 1541. Brief background of nation (or IIWiki):
The Confederated Tribes of Kealakekua (Kawanakan: Nāʻohana i Hoʻohuiʻia o Kealakekua; Ueạn: Kạinaga Taunạ‘i i Kealakekua) is a sovereign confederal state in eastern Savai, situated in Maonesia- an insular region of the Jade Ocean of eastern Savai. Kealakeua is a confederation of 68 main Kealakeuan tribes of the 2,372 islands and islets of the Kealakeuan archipelago. Prior to the arrival of Asuran colonialism, the islands were dominated by many maritime chiefdoms and tribes that warred with one another frequently for control over land and resources. Chiefs, called aliʻi, ruled their settlements and launched wars to extend their influence and defend their communities from rivals. Following the contact with Asurans and the encroachment of colonialism, the main Kealakeuan tribes convened and signed the Treaty of Nuʻuanu unifying the tribes under a confederation. The tribes that did not sign the treaty were promptly invaded by the Nuʻuanu Confederacy. The Nuʻuanu Confederacy expanded to its modern borders during the late 19th century when it was brought under a protectorate of Asuran powers (TBD) when its name was changed to Kealakekua in favor of a more unified identity. Upon its independence in the early 20th century, the country has prospered as one of the smallest states in Savai yet wielding a significant amount of diplomatic influence in the region. The country has a higher GDP per capita than most of its neighbours due to its small population yet being endowed with a significant amount of natural resources such as lead, zinc and nickel.

Map claim (Imgur):
Image
Geography and climate of nation:
Kealakeua is generally a mixture of rugged high islands and low islands with reefs while the country has a tropical marine climate (Af). The countries many islands share a common barrier reef with many coral atolls in between the major islands. The islands themselves sport white-sand-beaches and many volcanoes, which makes it prone to a variety of natural disasters caused by active volcanos.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses):
Kealakeua suffers as a small nation with an accordingly small military, and also is a threat from the many volcanos that dot the islands making it prone to natural disasters caused by active volcanos or earthquakes. The country is however quite rich from the many zinc, nickel and lead deposits of the islands which play a major part of its economy- the country also shares good trade relations with its neighbors in Kelenoa and Ajerrin.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?:
I will reduce the GDP per captia and HDI.

ÇIÇEKBUL / Grand Cooperative Combine
Music for extra immersion

The Ausitorians have chosen the worst possible way to launch their treacherous attack on the glorious Kombinat. Their Kraken was, for all purposes, an utterly impractical craft; one that was nothing else than a prey for the gracious and fast Nifonese built fighters that were delivered due to an agreement between the two nations. Their sole use was due to long range permitted by WIG mode - but in every other area, they were vastly inferior to classical aircraft.

The treacherous attack was quickly detected by an OTH radar network operated by the Kombinate, which in turn notified appropriate units. The response was quickly organized. In general, SOP of Kombinat's forces always called for the vast majority of radars to switch positions every 10 hours and keep inactive until an engagement. Because of the haste the Aestorian attack was organized with, the vast majority of their intelligence was false.

"Pazite na sve jedinice, to je radarska stanica Mujkić, preporučujemo da otkrije neobično elektronsko zračenje sa istoka, nekoliko neprijateljskih bogeža, nadmorske visine ispod 150 stopa."

"Kopirajte taj Mujkić, presretači se umešani. Imali radarsku tišinu, AWACS i presretači će se uskoro sastati."

"Kopiraj to, mi isključujemo naše radare."

With the threat approaching, aircraft from the 3rd Squadron, Capital Air Defense Region, 4th Squadron, Capital Air Defense Region, 9th Squadron, Capital Air Defense Region and the 2nd Squadron, Dai Phuong Imperial Capitol Contingent were being scrambled immediately. Meanwhile, as the four AWACs aircraft flew around the city, they also alerted all the SAM and air-defense systems in the vicinity about the... issues that they would have to deal with.

The crews of the Nifonese Type-10 Ku-SAMs armed with the Su-3000 missiles got into position, ready to strike in case of encountering anything. They counted on the L-Band radars on the AWACs and other aircraft to detect any hostile stealthcraft, and the crews readied to move the system in the event of making contact with the enemy.

To the instruction of the AWACS, ground-based systems enabled their jamming systems to spoof the enemy GPS systems guiding Ausitorian missiles, driving them off course, making them sure that the target is somewhere else...

In this battle, the Kombinat would be fielding a little gift from Murakami Defense Industries - air-launched version of Su-2000 missile being part of Type 10 Ku-SAM. Due to the fact that the missile destroyed its targets via kinetic energy, a warhead was not necessary restricting the entire system just to the seeker and a three pulse motor. Reduced in weight and size, it could be carried by a fighter like it would do with a normal AAM - and this time was about to face its baptism of fire in BVR combat.

Flight leaders chose the targets and applied. Each target would receive a salvo of 3 Su-2000 missiles; traveling at speed exceeding Mach 7, too fast for Kraken's CIWS to target them, slamming into the flarecraft like a meteor. The same fate would be met with eventual "stealth fighters that would not show themselves". Due to the large area of its wing, Angel II was restricted by the forces acting upon its wings - making it forced to chose between getting a missile or tearing itself apart via hasty manoeuvre (assuming the pilot even noticed something coming at him...)

Still - the fire had its effects. While the combination of aircraft interception, SAM fire, lack of intelligence and jamming took its toll, the Ausitorians also managed to score a considerable amount of success. Though only 10% of their targets were destroyed, the battle had only just begun...

Music for extra immersion

By now, the 2nd and 3rd Carrier Strike Groups had rendezvous in the Indian Ocean and were now in the Southeastern Indian Ocean. At any one time, two combat air patrols and two AWACs aircraft from both of the carriers flew about, providing protection and defense from the fleet from any other threats. The Nifonese-made Tenrais scanned the airspace while their AWACs equivalent scanned the skies with their radar, ensuring full protection for the fleet from any threats, especially Aestorian. Word had reached that there was some sort of attack on Cicekbul, and thus the fleet was extremely wary about anyone posing a threat to them.

Tieu Hue was on the bridge of the CS Vung Tau, liasing with the officers on the bridge.

"Có từ nào từ CSG thứ 9 không?" She questioned one of the junior officers managing the communications of the fleet.

"Khẳng định, Điện hạ. CSG lần thứ 9 liên lạc lần cuối cùng chúng tôi thông báo rằng họ sẽ rời Malabo, họ nên hướng về Quần đảo Canary, nơi họ sẽ neo đậu và gia nhập Hạm đội Đồng Minh."

"Rất tốt."

Tieu Hue was about to walk away when the junior officer stopped her to inform her of one more thing.

Tieu Hue grinned before breaking into laughter.

"Chắc chắn là rất thú vị, chúng sẽ tạo ra những khẩu pháo lớn nếu chúng ta chiến đấu."

With that, she walked away. She was deep in thought, strategizing about the carrier strike group's plans against their enemy...

[blocktext]The scene in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building was chaotic to say the least. Once again, the Eternal Father had made some rather rash decisons and it seemed as if the Combine was being pulled into international conflict once again. This time, the Combine was thankfully not going to be alone. It had been a few years since Fridumaria had signed the Treaty for Military Cooperation and Common Defense with the Combine in hopes of having two large states in a common defense pact together would strengthen their influence on a global scale. After all, with the Combine's population of 3.2 billion people the Combine was surely willing to cooperate with a fellow large state, National Socialist or not.

Now, it seemed like it was finally time to utilize the common defense pact to the advantage of the Combine.

Milovia signup/map claim

Postby Milovia » Sat Apr 13, 2019 8:57 am

IC nation name:Milovia
Capital: Yorkshire
Government type: Semi-Presidential Socialist Parliamentary Republic (for now: trying to get rid of socialism.)
RP population:124 million
Ethnic Group(s):Black, White, Han Chinese, Indian
Language(s):Spanish, English, Simplified Chiense and African languages
GDP per capita (USD):434 Trillion
HDI:89.65, 5th in region
Brief background of nation :Milovia is a safe nation with excellence in civil rights, economic power, and political Freedoms, with one major flaw: It is socialist, with a series of checks and balances in place to defend rights and freedoms. The Government has a fourth branch, the financial branch, which handles the economy, while allocating funds equally to the Military, Judicial, Executive, Legislative, and financial branches of government. While the socialism policy is being reviewed under parliament, the civil liberties are being clanked down on by installing cameras in public areas. Milovia has 4 Ethnic groups (major): Black, Chinese, Indian, and White. Minorites include Arabic peoples, and Hispanic peoples.
Map claim (Imgur):Image

Geography and climate of nation: Milovia is mainly forestall with desert on the main borders up north. It is bordered by ocean on the southern tip of the nation. It is bordered by two to three nations. On the northern side of Milovia, it is very hot and humid because of the desert, while everywhere else it is regular American East Coast-style weather until winter, when cold artic weather comes.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): Milovia is a strong nation militarily, but economically, because of its socialism, capitalism only exists in small businesses, so trade will be a little bit harder. Diplomatically Milovia is eager to create friendships and peaceful alliances with other nations.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: I would reduce economic strength, such as GDP and PPP.

How did you hear about Aeia?: I heard about while researching smaller communities with RP and Maps.
What other nations do you use on NS? Dukeshand and Smallson, two constitutional elective monarchies who's king/queen is the Milovian Vice President, which makes both Realms of Milovia, despite being in a ceremonial role.(essentially).
Roleplay sample (Optional, though required for claiming a more powerful role): It has been years since Milovia last roleplayed in the LKE, where Milovia first started out.

I'm no mod (and I'm not qualified to be one), but I'd like to point out the real flaws in this application for the sake of saving our important mods time.
First of all "Black" and "White" aren't ethnic groups. I also don't see why so many different groups would be in this location. Speaking of location, that place (or parts of it) have already been claimed and in some cases, accepted. Thirdly, your capital. I can't name my capital Utah. The next applicant can't name his capital New South Wales. It's just unimaginative. Fourthly, your GDP makes China and the USA combined look like Haiti, be reasonable. Fithly, your HDI is not something a mod would take seriously: the highest HDI you can go is 0.999 I believe. In sixth, your other nations can't exist in Aeia, although I believe that after enough worldbuilding you can bring 1 in as a multi. You cannot however connect this to your main in any way.

Sorry if I'm stepping out of role here. I haven't even been accepted myself. But I believe a mod would agree with me that there are some issues with this app. Nothing personal, kiddo.

IC nation name: United Republics of Cjaivestru (pronounced Ky-ves-true)
Capital: Azurio
Government type: Federal parliamentary republic with elements of constitutional monarchy and theocracy
RP population: 51,698,420
Ethnic Group(s):
Sudivite (Corsican) - 48.7%
Carcosse - 30%
Arzvan - 10.7%
Aquidish - 8.5%
Other - 2.1 %
Language(s): Sudivite, Carcosse, Arzvan, Aquidish, Limosan (Lombard),
GDP per capita (USD): 28,890
HDI: 0.887
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki):
WIP Early History (to fit in with Bevene/Arzvan/Aquidish history)

First created over 4000 years ago by early !Romance peoples, the Sudivite culture stood out from the rest. A different migration path had led the Carcosse people to the same region. Several great civilizations were built in the region, mainly around its river valleys. Proto-Fiorentines did not contact either of the civilizations in the region or their neighbors until the 1st century CE, when Fiorentine merchants and traders began a large presence in the region. The various Sudivite states were more inclined to enjoy good relations with the Fiorentines, but the Carcosse tribunal nations were not so. In 87 CE several Fiorentine diplomats and traders were killed by soldier-supported crowds in the Carcosse city of Ghazo. The Tribunal See of Ghazo then became hostile with the empire backed Sudivites. After a short but brutal war the Sudivite people won control over Ghazo and it's allies. Many deals of trade and support against barbarians from the north were made with the empire and in 160 CE, the Fiorentines fully annexed the entirety of modern-day Sudivestru in one gulp.

Control over the area was difficult for the Fiorentines. Constant rebellion and attack from violent tribes weakened the nation's frontier on a daily basis. In 208 CE, the Fiorentines abandoned the northern line in Sudivestru and left the Carcosse to fend for themselves. However a large Sudivite-based revolution in 219 forced the Fiorentine empire out of the area temporarily. Their legions were weakened, fleeing south into Aquidneck and the Midrasian lands. Unfortunately, by 225 CE the majority of Carcosse states had been defeated by barbaric tribes hailing from West Catai and East Asura. A desperate series of wars and defensive lines marked the next 50 years, and in 269 the last actual Sudivite kingdom fell. This led to a Fiorentine invason in 272, which succeeded in forcing the tribes of pillaging warriors further north to modern Vvarden. Both Sudivite and Carcosse were subjagated until 410 when they rose up and seceded into small independent kingdoms. It would remain this way, relatively peaceful, throughout the Dark ages. Alydianism became the most common religion among Sudivites, and many Carcosse. These religious disputes however led to some violent warring in the 10th and 11th centuries. Unity of the modern Sudivestran region was never considered once in the turbulent 1200s and 1300s. This allowed Aquidish influence to grow, with the Duke Romero successfully taking over control of two dynastic kingdoms in both Sudivite and Carcosse ethnic areas. They unified, but Romero was stabbed to death 2 years later and the kingdom ceased.

A new period of history had been entered, with unification of kingdoms becoming a hot topic in royal courts and among the people etc., history will be continued.

Map claim (Imgur): The territory formerly known as Carcossica, as well as the Barbaran Isles (can you move them slightly northwards, south of Mardin off the coast of tir and Vvarden?), Ghganathusa, and Thadryissen City.

Geography and climate of nation: Mainly temperate environment in most of the mainland, with a mix of flatter river valleys and forested mountainous regions. Coastal regions are low and slightly tropical, considered a Riviera. Hotter also.
How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? (strengths/weaknesses): A large West Asuran power in the same way Carc was. Strong economy and medium but skilled military.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Less pop and economic power.

How did you hear about Aeia? Already here.
What other nations do you use on NS? Just Gwane.
Roleplay sample (Optional, though required for claiming a more powerful role):
News Report from Gwane Daily
A violent shootout in downtown Jaffika last night has resulted in 9 tragic deaths and over 50 injured persons. The conflicts included three different factions of which were police and two large gangs, several police were injured with one casualty, while 8 gang members died during the battle on Tesekka Street. After the shootout around 20 people, mainly criminal fighters, were hospitalized with major injuries, while in the next few hours, Sandri Pahvakil Memorial Hospital faced around 30 more persons with minor to moderate wounds, primarily gunshots or stabbings. Police fenced off a large portion of Tesekka Street after the last gang shooters were subdued around 10:40 PM. Over 70 police officers were called to the scene of the fight soon after it began at 9:55 PM.
The battle reportedly started when a drive-by shooting went wrong after a vehicle crashed on Ollakomme Drive after the driver shot and injured one rival gang member around 9:40 PM. The driver was dragged out of his car and stabbed to death by members of the gang known as the Palm Sharks who had control over Ollakomme Drive and that part of Tesekka Street. Police were called to a murder scene several minutes later and a three-way fight erupted when Palm Shark, police and the MGH terror and crime group who attempted the drive by shooting. By 10:20 PM, 7 were dead and 46 injured, after a heated gunfight which spilled onto Tesekka Street around 10:05 PM.
Police are still investigating the motive behind the original drive-by attack committed by the Central Reclamation Army (MGH). The two groups have been rivals for control over Tesekka St. for over a decade, as the street has large capacity for narcotics manufacturing and dealing. Opium, meth, cocaine are all frequent finds in Tesekka street's towering buildings.
A large funeral has been organized for the policeman who was shot dead yesterday. The Mayor of Jaffika, Phavi Kovrisah, has said; "We give our hearts out to the brave police officers combating these sickening criminal activities and groups. We hope that the officer killed is exalted in the Afterlife for his bravery and sacrifice. We are working to fight crime as much as possible in the city, and the Council is constantly toiling for a better, brighter future in Jaffika."

Map claim (Imgur): Geography and climate of nation:

How did you hear about Aeia? I was a former member.
What other nations do you use on NS? I formerly had Saitsiu in Aeia and Montnoir in Esquarium.

The 3rd and 4th squadrons were en-route to intercept the enemy threat at the coast, while the 2nd Squadron or the 9th Squadron were sent to perform a combat air-patrol over Cicekbul in case any other enemy aircraft would come to interfere in the operation.

Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): https://iiwiki.us/wiki/Qal%27eh (WIP)

Tribes have walked the lands that are now Qal'eh since around 1500 BC, with evidence of several tools and fossils dating back to that era. Most notably, the Flute of Akhir, which was unearthed in 1997, has provided some insight into the culture and traditions of early Qalehi tribes.

Qal'eh was first conquered by the expansive Ardashirvan Empire in 476 BC, who destroyed many ancient relics of the tribes of Qal'eh following their conquest, while simultaneously assimilating the culture of the tribesman into a more widely-accepted culture throughout the Empire. Many modern Qalehi traditions can have their roots traced back to the Ardashirvan Empire and the culture of the nation is heavily influenced by the conquest. The region broke away from the Ardashirvan Empire as many small successor states after a mutiny in the 4th century BC caused the army and many minorities within the empire to revolt, eventually leading to its demise. Qal'eh would be plunged into nearly a thousand years of various successor states and small kingdoms until it was conquered by the Haydarid Caliphate around 606 CE. The caliphate introduced Irsad from Hisaristan to Qal'eh. The Caliphate was invaded by Turkic/Mongolic tribes in the 10th century CE, and in 902 the Khutsog Khanate was proclaimed. The Khanate dissolved due to internal instability a hundred years later, and fractured into many successor states. The largest successor state, Assadia, led by Muridin Emir Imrah I, reconquered the shattered realm between 1024 and 1026 in a series of conflicts now known as Imrah's Conquests. Modern-day Qal'eh unified around 200 years after the Assadian Caliphate ceased to exist in 1617, when the three powers in the region agreed to unite into a singular nation under Shahanshah Amin Rouhani, the first of to bear the title in the region for almost a thousand years. Qal'eh would undergo a civil war between monarchists loyal to the Shah and Qalehi republicans, which would end in 1902 and lead to the ratification of the 1902 Constitution, which still holds supreme law in the region. It is a controversial topic in Qal'eh, and its lawfulness is debated due to its age.

Qal'eh is a very cultured nation, with its populace enjoying art, music, fashion among many other things. Korab, the nation's traditional folk music, is still enjoyed by many people in Qal'eh and is an important tradition in many important Qalehi events, including coronations, funerals and foreign diplomatic visits. Many influential Qalehi painters throughout the 18th and 19th centuries influenced and changed the traditional way of Qalehi art in a period of time called the "Qalehi renaissance" by art enthusiasts.

Map claim (Imgur): Geography and climate of nation:

The 3rd and 4th squadrons were en-route to intercept the enemy threat at the coast, while the 2nd Squadron or the 9th Squadron were sent to perform a combat air-patrol over Cicekbul in case any other enemy aircraft would come to interfere in the operation.

Five AWACs aircraft, two of them being Boeing 707s equipped with EL/M-2075 L-Band radars which would restrict the use of more stealthier aircraft. The other two aircraft were G550 CAEW aircraft equipped with the multi-band IAI EL/W-2085 radar.

The sleek image of the Nifonese-built Tsukumo A18T Zero-Sen stealth fighter jets loomed over the city, followed by the A10T Tenrai air-superiority fighters of the 9th Squadron followed suit, peforming a combat-air patrol over the city. The Tenrais of the 3rd and 4th Squadron made a beeline for the coast to try and stop the incoming threat which had been detected by the radar station. The radiation was detected at an extremely low altitude, and thus investigation was needed to determine what kind of craft they were. One thing for sure was that they were hostile, for there was no friendly unit in that area.

"Poludnica, ovo je Zduhać 0-2 održavajući Anđela 03."

"Zduhać 0-2 ovo je Poludnica, upravlja 080 i održava sadašnjeg Anđela."

"Roger."

The G550 CAEW aircraft, Poludnitsa, flew about the city and commanded the aircraft against the bogeys that were approaching from due east.

SOUTHEASTERN INDIAN OCEAN / International Waters

ÇIÇEKBUL / Grand Cooperative Combine
Music for extra immersion

How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure?

What do you mean by a Federal parliamentary republic with elements of constitutional monarchy and theocracy? Surely this is oxymoronic?

It's a federal parliamentary republic, with a de jure elected leader who is actually a de facto monarch. There are not elections to the head of state position, which has more power than usual parliamentary republics. Monarch rules with the confidence of the church and the parliament. Head of government is elected in general elections.

I'm going to defer your application to the other sign-up panelists, however I don't believe the RP sample is up to par for a country in that has that much power. I can't make sense of your country's political system even with the explanation and I'd really, really appreciate you not plagiarize the name of another country that belonged to another member of the server.

GDP per capita (USD): $12,452
HDI: 0.818
Brief background of nation (or IIWiki): https://iiwiki.us/wiki/Qal%27eh (WIP)

Tribes have walked the lands that are now Qal'eh since around 1500 BC, with evidence of several tools and fossils dating back to that era. Most notably, the Flute of Akhir, which was unearthed in 1997, has provided some insight into the culture and traditions of early Qalehi tribes.

Many scattered nations occupied the land for that time period, but first major conquest came in 273 when the Artakhshathran Empire conquered Qal'eh in multiple wars between 268 and 273. Qalehi society gradually became more similar to that of the empire, and for around 400 years, the region was stable. There were some small revolts following the conquest, but none of which posed any threat to the expansive empire. It was around 1010 when major revolts across the empire erupted following a mutiny in the Artakhshathran Empire after the Shah refused to pay their wages, due to an ongoing economic crisis throughout the empire. The crisis, along with the revolts and the mutiny the empire lost control of the region and it was split into several successor states.

One of the successor states, Assadia, controlled most of the lucrative southern coast, and used its large income to not only fund its own army, but also to purchase multiple mercenary armies. Starting in 1024, Emir Imrah I began reconquering most of Qal'eh and uniting it under one banner once again. Due to the devastation the revolts and internal fighting with the Artakhshathran Empire, the states did not put up much resistance, and by 1026 Imrah had conquered all the way back to northern Qal'eh. With such an expansive realm, Imrah proclaimed himself Caliph of Assadia and declared the Assadian Caliphate in late 1026, the Caliphate would go on to have many successful and strong Caliphs after the death of Imrah. The Assadian Caliphate is credited with officially introducing Irsad into the Qalehi realm, with it becoming the official state religion in 1029. The Assadian Caliphate would last some 600 years until, like its predecessor, it suffered major internal revolts and eventually collapsed in 1617. Three states emerged from the revolts, but they would go on to form modern-day Qal'eh in an agreement reached in 1802.

A civil war gripped Qal'eh between 1896 and 1901 when republican militias seized much of northern Qal'eh and proclaimed the Irsadic Republic of Arianshahr, the civil war was bloody with hefty losses on both sides, but the monarchist Qal'eh eventually emerged victorious when their forces stormed Dahrzor on April 18, 1901. The day is now celebrated as Liberation Day throughout Qal'eh. Shahanshah Muhammad Nazeri ratified the current constitution of Qal'eh on November 12, 1902.

The two major ethnic groups within the nation, Qalehis and Arians, have a tense relationship which has been ongoing for some 30 years (since 1989), when Shahanshah Ahmad Rouhani passed a decree giving native Qalehis priority over Arians over things such as jobs, healthcare and applying for places in the government and military. Several Arian revolts have happened across the 30 year span but so far all have been successfully put down by the Qalehi military.

Geography and climate of nation: Milovia is mainly forestall with desert on the main borders up north. It is bordered by ocean on the southern tip of the nation. It is bordered by two to three nations. How will your nation fit within the existing regional power structure? Diplomatically Milovia is eager to create friendships and peaceful alliances with other nations.

Nothing personal, kiddo.[/spoiler]

While I appreciate your attempt at helping the mods, it is not necessary. And I don't believe the antagonistic "Nothing personal, kiddo." is acceptable.
