In the Undying Empire, homosexuality is regarded as an abnormality to be 'treated' as extremely as possible. To this end, it is an assurance that the Order of the High Council comprises only of heterosexual Ephyral purebloods. Furthermore, women are forbidden from holding a seat in the High Council.

An additional note; homosexuality is defined as the desire to reproduce with the same sex. This is inherently illogical. However, Ephyral engage in heterosexual sex not just for reproduction for but pleasure. To this end, it is known that men can engage in sexual activities with other men for pleasure rather than reproduction, as do women. However there is a stigma involving the top-bottom dichotomy that says a man who takes the position of a woman is no man at all.

Therefore if any man on the High Council has had sex with another man, then under no circumstance would he have been the submissive partner. This is where the bisexual part of the LGBT comes in. Ephyral can express sexual desire of pleasure to either sex if they find the other person ideally attractive, but will only express reproductive interests in the opposite sex. To this end one can consider all Ephyral to be somewhat bisexual in lust, but strictly heterosexual in reproductive desire. Those deviating from the latter are regarded as subhuman.

And finally, transgender/transsexual. Sex change operations are illegal in Ephyra. If you express an interest in changing your outward appearance from your biological sex to match the alternative, you are subhuman. If you cross-dress to match the other sex, you are subhuman. It is dangerous even to deviate from the expected norms of femininity or masculinity. Such individuals are not even treated for their affliction. They are experimented on, studied, and then usually disposed of.

So in short, there are no LGBT members on the High Council. All of them are men of the empire, pureblooded, many of whom are married with wives and children, and none of them contaminated by the desire to breed with the same sex, or change to the other.
