LGBT presence in YN's government

There are currently two LGBT members of Parliament.
- Kylie Bourke, Labour MP for Tangjing since 2012, openly lesbian.
- Shi Smith, Liberal Democratic MP for Elizabeth Park since 2008, openly homosexual.
Smith was also the first openly gay MP to be elected, and the two current members remain the only LGBT people elected to public office in British Guangzhou. Another notable LGBT "politician" is Jennifer Stanley, a political adviser for the Conservative party, an open lesbian, and the Premier, Clark Stanley's daughter. She's not an elected official, but it has been rumoured that she'll run in the future for Parliament for the Conservative party. This would make her the first openly gay Conservative politician in the nation.

LGBT discrimination is seen as archaic and ‘of the time’, in regards to the presence of homosexuality as a sin in the bible.

The de facto leader of Western Moravia identifies as bisexual, and 23 of the members of our parliament—five from the Reform party, fifteen from the DLL, and three from the Internationalists—are openly LGBTQ. Of these, two identify as transgender. Due to the diverse political structures of the members of the Confederacy, giving statistics on state representation would be difficult, but it's safe to say that there's substantial variance; while certain states are rather progressive, others are prejudiced against LGBTQ individuals, especially among more religious populations. However, LGBTQ representation in government has been improving substantially over the last few years due to the efforts of a number of advocacy groups, especially the Children of Luxemburg Foundation.

In the government cabinet, the Minister for Family Affairs is bisexual, which the more conservative members of the Deulian Democratic Forum, the senior party in the coalition, consider to be quite ironic.
