Welcome to the Cogned-Mentero Embassy Program, where the nations of the world can apply for an Embassy inside Cogned-Mentero. We are a relatively new nation, breaking off of the Flux Empire of the Auto-Reds in the year 1632, and we are still facing the effects of our independence wars. We still attempt to follow the ideals of the Auto-Reds and promote advancement, creativity and intelligence.
Ambassadorial Policy:
Your embassy will be inside Cogned-Sacsreno, specifically in the Ancient Research Facility, where the seat of government currently is. Most nations will be given a small embassy. If you request a larger embassy, please indicate this in your application and we will research your country in more detail to see if it deserves a larger embassy. If you have a small embassy, you can only have relative light amounts of staff, security and transport. Larger embassies will be allocated based on the amount of each the requesting nations wants for their embassy. Higher numbers mean more scrutinising, so it's best to have smaller numbers even if you request a larger embassy. All staff must be hired from their nation of origin, no local hiring allowed.
Ambassadors and all staff have diplomatic immunity, except with regards to our non-local restriction laws, such as noise, light, smells, pollution, animals, etc., which prevent you from interfering with neighbours (for example, other embassies). Embassy staff (including Ambassadors) cannot be detained inside Cogned-Mentero, however we will discuss particularly dangerous staff with their nation of origin. Aside from that, what the ambassadors do in the embassy is up to them and their nation of origin. Our policy on extraterritoriality is that embassies are still sovereign territories of Cogned-Mentero, but our laws generally do not apply except for above. Cogned-Menteroan forces cannot enter any embassies.
If we change the rules for application, embassies that were accepted before the rule changes will still be accepted even if they do not follow the new rules for application. However, if the embassy is closed and reopened, the reopening will be subject to the new rules. The same applies for changes in diplomatic immunity or extraterritoriality policies, however changes in Cogned-Mentero law that applies to embassies have a grace period of 30 days, after which the embassies must comply.

If you wish to establish an embassy with us, please post an application, and our Fliudero Representative will read over it and accept or deny you. We do not have any restrictions on ideology, religion or ethnicity. If you have been denied, you will be given the reason. You can reapply for an embassy as many times as you want. NS Stats will be used as a backup if Factbooks are unavailable.
