Fat shaming exists and is encouraged in Zhouranese society. Unlike western societies, Zhouranese society believes that people should take care of their body the same way they take care of their homeland. Those who are at least "chubby" due to health reasons are not fat-shamed for that, same with men who may look chubby but are strong and fit (eg. powerlifters and strongmen that prefer function over form). However, people who are obese because of laziness and uncontrolled diet are fat-shamed and are seen not only as a burden to society but also a threat to national agriculture due to their massive diet.

Sidh culture is highly-militaristic and therefore places great emphasis on physical fitness and health. Someone who has neglected himself to the point of growing obese would therefore be ridiculed and harassed mercilessly by his peers to compel him to shape up, it also being within the power of the authorities to send such individual to a compulsory fitness course so that every citizen meets the minimum established fitness standards.

Being healthy and fit is both a legal obligation and a moral imperative to a Sidh. Healthcare is universally-free in the Imperium, but the state and society cannot be expected to pay for the health complications caused by someone's poor lifestyle choices, so the authorities have a vested monetary interest in compelling citizens to remain reasonably fit and therefore reduce national healthcare expenses by avoiding preventable illnesses. It also maximizes the available workforce and military reserve pool, ensuring that no citizen can use poor health as an excuse to shirk his duties towards the state and society. Morally, being a Sidh entails constant struggle towards self-betterment and perfection, physically as well as mentally, so being unfit is anathematic to the very essence of being a Sidh. Because of the aforementioned financial factors, maintaining one's fitness is also a moral obligation towards one's nation and fellow citizens to avoid burdening them with the expenses caused by one's poor lifestyle choices.

Someone who has allowed himself to grow fat is therefore deemed to demonstrate not just a lack of basic self-discipline but also a callous lack of moral fibre and sense of duty in general, and is therefore fair game to harass and bully into realizing his error and taking steps to rectify it.

Since Sidh bodies are deliberately engineered for maximum fitness, growing overweight would take consistent and deliberate neglect and poor lifestyle, thereby removing any medical excuses of "bad genes" or "poor metabolism", both problems being easily rectified with Sidh medical technology.

In short, a Sidh simply has no moral or any other excuse to be fat, and those who are more than deserve the ridicule and harassment that's coming to them.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

A fool sees religion as the truth. A smart man sees religion as a lie. A ruler sees religion as a useful tool.

The more God in one's mouth, the less in one's heart.

Legally, it's considered hate speech. Socially though, it's perfectly acceptable to walk up to someone and point out their weight. Usually it's not malicious; more like, "You're fat. Did you know that's bad? There are a lot of health risks associated with it." A bit like South Korea, really. Outsiders think it's condescending, but for Ankurani, it comes from a good place.

On a related note, packaging for junk food, fast food, sodas, and the like are required to have labels similar to those found on alcohol and cigarettes explaining the risks of excessive consumption of fats, sugars, and calories (for those in the US, think Surgeon General's Warnings).

It's considered wrong to shame fat people. The Nioyan state actually makes doctors take a class on bedside manner, and one of the topics is dealing with overweight people and telling them how to lose a weight. A doctor can lose their license for telling a fat person they'll die if they don't lose weight. People who weight something like 400 pounds might be mocked or seen as bad, but generally it's considered OK to be fat.

It is not common to see overweight male Nortans and those that are overweight are typically mocked by their friends and family, but never in public. Somewhat overweight women are common and only obese women are ever mocked, however only by family and friends also.

It is considered quite rude to insult people on the basis of their weight. However, people are encouraged to not overeat and do regular physical excerscise.

Fat shaming is not really encouraged but obese people are forced to go into a training program unless they have an actual medical condition.

The phrase "fat shaming" isn't really known in Alizeria. If you're fat, you're fat, and people are probably going to point it out or express their concerns about your health. The idea that fat people would run around crying saying they're being "shamed" wouldn't really fly in Alizeria as the general consensus is that most fat people choose to be fat.

Fat shaming is considered to be socially unacceptable however it is becoming more prevalent and is not seen as being anywhere near as bad as other types of discrimination.

Both legally and culturally Purpelia is not a politically correct nation where people are expected to watch their words. The state, government and society in general do not really care when people call each other names. It's just not worth bothering with. When we see foreign nations get into a huff about these things the only thing we can think of is to ask: Seriously people, don't you have any real problems to worry about? You know, like the economy or war? Stuff that actually matters?
Therefore private citizens are free before both the state and those around them to fat shame or insult other people any way they see fit. And if the one being insulted has a problem with that that's his problem. He should just man up and spit back at the attacker. Call his mother a whore or something.

On the flip side the Purpelian state also does not give a dam about fat people being fat. It's just literally not something that's worth bothering with. Seriously. Once again. Don't you have anything actually important to worry about? Or have sky fairies literally come from the sky to fix all your economic, social and political issues so that you have enough spare energy to care about how much kilograms your people weigh.
Therefore there are no programs to make them not be fat or anything like that. And there is no program of systematic fat shaming like what you see in some places where actual governments are trying to pressure people into loosing weight. That's just barbaric and a waste of resources that could be spent pursuing actually important stuff.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

Although fat shaming doesn't really occur in Hokomian, it's kind of a unsaid rule to stay skinny, so the number of overweight individuals is very low. So in a way there's cultural fat shaming, but individuals won't fat shame other people.

Due to a general lack of food and reliance on a pescaran diet does not result in fat people. There is a knowledge of fat acceptance in the past, but technological advances removed any reason for obesity other than gluttony. On a space ship gluttony is very much frowned upon.

The traditional cuisine of Shikihara (tofu, rice, etc.) combined with the state's emphasis on active physical education in school (archery, kendo, and running) as well as it's strong opposition to allowing fast food businesses to establish restaurants here have served to ensure that being overweight is very uncommon. Being overweight is seen as a sign of a lack of self-control and can lead to being ridiculed, though this is less outright than other countries based on Shikihara's emotionally reserved social expectations.

They aren't shamed, but they are strongly recommended to get in shape for their own well-being. If they choose not to, it's their own lives and business.

The "fat acceptance movement" is considered to have been a danger to public health back when it was still around thousands of years ago.

Fat shaming is common but almost only used as a joke. Obese people are strongly encouraged to get into shape, but we won’t force them. “Fat acceptance” and its strong connection with radical feminism has been strongly rejected by the Exodian public, for both political and health reasons. The country’s mandatory military service and their physical education programs keeps most of Exodia away from obesity becoming a real issue.
