I tend to cook by stopwatch. Like X dish takes Y to bake. Or this meat needs to be turned on the grill every Z minutes. And so I just wind up my phone. So I can leave things and walk out of the room to play video games or what ever and know exactly when I need to get back. Have newer burned anything in my life. And things always turn out great.

Being awake is not taking a nap.

Nah, since I'm now in my mid to late 30s I'm in full blown nostalgia overdrive for the 80s/early 90s.

Sometimes I even catch myself having warm fuzzy thoughts about loading games onto my c64 from tape. At that point I have to stop and give myself a good slap.

Take whole potatoes, coat them in olive oil and pop in the microwave for 5-10 minutes. Afterward cut them into 1-1.5 inch cubes, coat with olive oil, some seasonings, and pop them in the oven until they have a nice golden brown look. Use this as an opportunity to roast some veggies like okra, carrots (coated in olive oil), broccoli, etc etc.
