"Centuries ago there was some. If we're only going back to the founding of my nation in the 80s, then no, there really hasn't. A few years ago a few nutjobs tried to kill some vampires, but they were quickly apprehended and that was an isolated incident."

"Definitely. The debate currently underway is mainly on the international stage, as some countries are less open-minded about such things. In any case our universe only has one AI, and if it weren't for her being a robot she'd probably pass for human. Whether or not AI have souls is still being investigated, but that's a different matter."

"Our light aircraft (the vintage-style biplanes, etc.) are mostly British, French, and German surplus. They were retired in the 70s and 80s, and when we received them in the late 80s and early 90s we began keeping them updated to modern standards for recon and surprise attack craft. Our few jets are Russian, and were purchased in the late 80s during the Gorbachev era, the only time we were friendly with Russia. Our airships are locally designed and built, as is our Superfire fighter design. With the exception of the two Leviathan-class battlecruisers, our naval ships were locally designed and built. We also have some cargomaster planes from the United States. In the future we will be adding more jet aircraft to our lineup, likely of foreign design. Our submarines were built in collaboration with our allies, except for the Nautilus, which is our own project."

The current emperor is aging and his likely successor seems much less chaotic, so hopefully the situation will cool down soon."

And I'm not a scientist, so I don't know the exact chemical name of the substitute... and to be perfectly honest, research is showing that it doesn't really meet one's nutritional needs anyway."

1. "Much of the population holds respect for tradition, even if they don't all follow it. However, few people would support 'conservative' actions like illegalizing LGBT, etc."

2. "Arctica-Aleutia is home to a large native population, mostly Wulfen Inuit. They tend to follow many Inuit traditions, though a few of course choose to live their life differently, and they don't shun modern technology when it is necessary. American and Russian customs are also common, as Alaska used to be Russian and we gained independence from the USSR and America."
