The year is 1803. The civilized nations of Alalicia are pitted against each other in a fierce contest for supremacy, under the propagandized illusion of a "gentleman's war." Although it's clearly seen as sport by the nobles who find themselves waging such conflicts, the young men standing in front of them see it as anything but.
The uncivilized world has only just begun to experiment with western technology, while others stand in stubborn defiance against the need to westernize in favor of the old ways. Ways that may spell their doom in a new age.
Wars of Adalicia is a worldbuilding role playing region that can best be described as a Napoleonic Fantasy, just as this thread's title would state. Combat is conducted via line infantry tactics, utilizing weaponry that is very rarely accurate. Steamships wouldn't make their debut until two decades later. For now, wooden warships are still the norm of western navies. The art of correspondence has changed very little; information regarding diplomatic events still take a lengthy period of time to be transmitted.
My reasoning for creating this region lies in the fact that nothing quite like this has been done before. I want to make something different; something that people can enjoy. Whoever might be reading this, I hope you consider filling out this application. Once people join, the real work behind designing this region shall begin.
