The 2017 UCPN summit is the first meeting of the Group of Eleven (G11) held on 7–8 July 2017 in the city of Moscow, GSR

G11 heads of state and government traditionally focus on issues relating to global economic growth, international trade and financial market regulation. The G11 finance ministers and central bank governors began meeting regularly. Other issues of global significance are often closely linked with economic questions. Examples include climate change, development policy, wars within the RMB and the spread of digital technology and, topically, godmoding (yes, we're talking to you, Akhara). The range of issues now considered by the G11 thus makes for a broad agenda.

Good evening. I want to thank all of you for coming here today. I know that at the UCPN and G11, we’re committed to working with other countries to build sustainable, inclusive economies, and create opportunities for all of our people. I look forward to an extensive discussion on our shared interests in advancing regional and global security. from the IPSO who has done so much, to make us go beyond, and go where no man has gone. To N8T0, who has done so many contributions to global development, peacekeeping, and refugee assistance.

And because of the hard work of our teams, across every dimension -- from people-to-people ties, energy, scientific and educational exchanges -- we have seen steady progress during the course of my hosting of this event and during the course of the multiple meetings that we've had. Consistent with the notion of a new model for relations between our countries, what I think we’ve been able to achieve is practical and constructive efforts where our interests intersect and a candid discussion of those areas where we differ, and our ability to manage them in a way that does not put the bilateral relationship at risk. And I know that we will have, once again, candid conversations about some of those differences around issues like human rights, or cyber, or maritime. But our teams have been engaged. They have worked very well and diligently together.
