FireBrand Games' new controversial game pending investigation

ARGENTINSTAN CITY -- 07/23/2018

The Department of Justice announced today that it would be opening an investigation of Garlindo-based gaming company, FireBrand Games, new application (Dead Effect 3: In Amber Clad) on the base that it could promote and incite terrorist behavior. The Secretary of Defense also commented from New Berlin in Artheia: "Gaming is a large part of our culture and world culture but when it starts to promote terrorist activities, it becomes a problem."

The game, along with all of FireBrand Games' line, was suddenly made unavailable on several online-based game retailers throughout the nation.

The game's content supposedly involves players working alongside terrorists and causing distress in Mariobo International Airport. Airport officials and national security officials are concerned about how the developers gained access to non-public areas of the airport depicted of the game and the Mariobo P.D. has issued stop and detain warrants for the developers for information.

UNOE Summer Olympics wraps up in a closing ceremony

MARIOBO -- 07/25/2018

At the Hollande Stadium in Mariobo, Patagonia, the 150,000 and more spectators for the event closing ceremony cheer, for the night of festivities. Anthems begin to play, starting alphabetically with the nation's name. Athletes from Artheria, Arg, Hiram Land, 5years, Valkiir and other countries participating walk onto the field, draped in their countries' flags and singing passionately their country's national anthem.

Dozens of officials say a few words and fireworks erupt into the sky, depicting the Olympic logo and one by one, the flags of participating countries. The official scores are announced with the Valkiir National Olympic Team at the lead with a total of 5 gold medals, the home team, Argentine National Olympic Team, in 2nd place with 4 gold medals and the Icetropical National Olympic Team in 3rd place, with 3 gold medals.

With the slow end of the closing ceremony, the national anthems play again with the Olympic anthem and the UNOE regional anthem as the spectators slowly exit the stadium, the athletes heading back to the Olympic Village to pack or to celebrate, officials heading back to their hotels, and spectators heading to the parking lots and the metro stations nearby.

The local transport agency has 15 extra metro trains to shuttle the spectators to where they need to go, the majority heading towards downtown. City officials have prepared extensively, providing additional bus shuttles to suburbs and airport shuttles, dozens of extra personnel, and closing roads for buses only to provide an efficient public transport solution.

Largest-ever Garlindan aircraft carrier commissioned

GARLINDO -- 07/31/2018

The Garlindan military recently received a new aircraft carrier, the largest to be ever commissioned by the Garlindan Government. The vessel cost the government nearly $8 billion and ate away at the military budget for the nation. CNN's John Blakely sat down with an interview with Fleet Admiral Vladimir Bartoszewicz.

CNN: "Hello Admiral. I have some questions for you, if you don't mind."
Admiral: "Of course, friend."
CNN: "Well Admiral Bartoszewicz, many of your country's people and governments around the region are interested to know how the Garlindan armed forces plans to make use of its new aircraft carrier, rumored to be the largest ever commissioned by your nation?"
Admiral: "Well, the new Romanov-class carrier, named after former Admiral and ex-president Allnoya Romanov who passed away last week, is intended to become the new flagship of the Garlindan Navy. The design was supposed to be implemented into the Navy in 2001, but was canceled for classified reasons, allowing the current flagship, the Emperor-class Carrier G.M.W. Vindicator, to takes its place in 2003."
CNN: "Ah. How much did the construction of the vessel cost?"
Admiral: "Somewhere around 7.5 to 8 billion. This is a costly project."
CNN: "And does this project put a strain on the Garlindan military budget? Was there political opposition to this project, taking into account the cost?"
Admiral: "This does put a bit of a strain on the military budget, especially in the naval forces, but we're more than willing to proceed. As for opposition, we did meet backlash by the Garlindan Liberal Party, but most Conservatives and Centerists were in favor, including President Poroshenko herself."

Protesters break into Argentine embassy in Eustrastan

09/09/2018 -- ARGENTINSTAN CITY

At 10:14 AM, Central Argentinstan Time, protesters outside the Argentine embassy in Great Eustrastan and western alacademia broke through the embassy gates, spilling onto the property. From a Pekker video uploaded by diplomatic staff, the military units stationed by the Argentine government on the embassy can be seen wrestling protesters on the ground and arresting dozens, due to the location of the apprehension.

Secretary of State Simpson held a press conference in Argentinstan City on the matter, commenting "the Argentinstan federal government is doing our very best to ensure the safety of our diplomatic staff both at home and abroad and the situation at the embassy in Eustrastan is very troubling and will be thoroughly dealt with and safety procedures will be reviewed in the coming days, thank you."

It’s Terrible In Here - Crime Rising In Border Cities Along the Argentine-HL Border

In Hydisk, along with several other Argentine cities along the Argentine-Hiramian border, crime is rising. Last year the city of Hydisk had just 2 homicides. This year, the city has 12, including one involving a firearm which have been banned in Argentinstan federally for decades.

Residents are often afraid to head near the border area at night where 90% of all crimes are reported, according to the Hydisk Police Department and the CBPA.

Maria Lille-Sanchez told me “we need more police patrols. Vamerais [Argentine name for the shared borough] is a desert after 8 with the heightened fears of being mugged.

The situation is believed to be caused by the HRA. Muggings on the Hydisk Light Rail system have increased with transit officials already have placed more transit police onboard trains after 8 p.m. as well as stations.
