"It's Always Sunny In Zhouran":
While the annual sunshine hours in the Zhouranese archipelago varies by exact location, in general Zhouran is known for it's sunny days. The islands of Yili, Tanghan and Gongsun, along with the northern half of Yongjia and the southern tip of Yongkang, receive 2,100–2,300 hours of sunshine per year, while the islands of Yilin, Kangyali, Rongyili, Kang, Kangyi, Nang and Jiayi, as well as the southern half of Yongjia and the majority of Yongkang, receive 2,700–2,900 hours of sunshine per year.

Going to the Beach:
Although the beaches in Zhouran varies by location, most beaches are white-sand beaches accompanied by clear blue water, despite the fact that Zhouran is not a tropical archipelago.
The island of Yili, along with the northern coast of Yongjia, are dominated by beaches that are composed of pebbles, small- to medium-sized cobbles, and occasionally, coarse sand. Generally affected by particularly fierce waves, usually with a long/very-long fetch, the resultant landform is often a steep beach that features stones that typically have an obvious grading of pebbles and/or cobbles, from large to small, with the larger diameter stones usually arrayed at the highest beach elevations. Meanwhile, the islands of Yongkang, Gongsun, Yilin, Kangyali, Tanghan, Rongyili, Kang, Kangyi, Nang and Jiayi, as well as the eastern, southern and western coasts of Yongjia, are dominated by fine/very-fine white-sand beaches with clear turquoise-colored waters.

Mandarin:
Mandarin Zhouranese is a standard variety of Mandarin Chinese that is used as the sole official language of Zhouran. On July 22, 1533, the Ancient Zhouranese language, which dates back to 3,400 BC, was replaced by the Chinese language (which would later be called Mandarin by 1587) as the official language. From July 22, 1533 until July 22, 1933, it was officially called Guanhua (simplified: 官话; traditional: 官話), but since July 22, 1933, Mandarin Zhouranese is officially called Putonghua (simplified: 普通话; traditional: 普通話).
Like other varieties of Chinese, Mandarin Zhouranese is a tonal language with topic-prominent organization and subject–verb–object word order. It has more initial consonants but fewer vowels, final consonants and tones than varieties from Southern China. Mandarin Zhouranese is an analytic language, though with many compound words.
Since July 22, 1533, Zhouranese people began to write in their vernacular dialect in the form of Yulu (simplified: 语录; traditional: 語錄) until July 22, 1933, when it was replaced by Written Vernacular Chinese, which is officially called Baihuawen (simplified: 白话文; traditional: 白話文).
Mandarin Zhouranese uses its own variety of vocabulary and pronunciation called the Zhouranese dialect, which contains some differences from other Mandarin dialects. Even though it is similar to Standard Chinese, the Zhouranese dialect is mainly monotone. Also, the Zhouranese dialect is clearly distinguished by its relatively tonally flat sound as well as its little use of word stress and sentence stress.
As part of Mandarin Zhouranese, Traditional Chinese characters, which was officially called Zhengtizi (simplified: 正体字; traditional: 正體字), was used from July 22, 1533 until February 24, 1957. At the time it became the official writing system in Zhouran, it replaced the Ancient Zhouranese Script, which is estimated to date back to 2,300 BC. Since February 24, 1957, Zhengtizi was replaced by the Simplified Chinese characters, which is officially called the National Simplified Script
From May 17, 1893 until April 21, 1958, the official romanization system for Mandarin Zhouranese was Wade-Giles, which was officially called Wei-toma Pin-yin (simplified: 威妥玛拼音; traditional: 威妥瑪拼音). Since April 21, 1958, the official romanization system for Mandarin Zhouranese is Pinyin, which is officially called Kangyuli Pinyin (simplified: 康玉立拼音; traditional: 康玉立拼音).
