The People's Republic of Socialist Shamsiya (French: La République Populaire de la Shamsiyya Socialiste, Arabic: جمهورية الشعب الاشتراكية شمسية) is a nation of about 73 million people. The official languages are French and Arabic -- between minorities, which Socialist Shamsiya has many of, you will also find a number of Turkic languages as well as Persian and Russian, yet you are unlikely to find ethnic purity in here, most people are of mixed origin -- mostly French-Arabic mix. About 80% of Shamsiyans are Muslim.
Our climate is generally formed by deserts and mountains -- though we have a giant watering system that we use to make more land fertile. In regions near to the ocean, he already have natural green land, which is why the population concentrates on these areas, including our capital city, Alaouira.
Our system is Democratic Socialist, which might not have to be explained here since most of you will be familiar with this system. But Socialist Shamsiya has a peculiarity: our Supreme Council does not have political parties. Candidates are directly elected here, which is supposed to give a «voting only for those I want, not for others» effect. Our current leader is General Secretary Jerôme Ata.
Now, Socialist Shamsiya wishes to establish embassies with all sorts of nations that want to deal with us.
This is Alaouira. Here, all embassies will be located here. It has a giant seaport and a giant airport, as well as highway connections to everywhere. The embassy row will be built up in the Rue de la République.
Important notes:
- There is no explicit limit on what features land vehicles may have, we rely on your common sense here. A hidden gun or two in an SUV is okay, but please don't bring tanks.
- Same goes with aircraft. Everything below an average combat helicopter is okay. There is a smaller airport near the Rue de la République -- just in case.
- Guns of all kind are fine with us (including full-automatic machine guns etc.), but please don't bring anything that explodes.
- For those concerned by it: we have a very liberal drug policy that includes alcohol and tobacco as well as cannabis, marijuana etc. Feel free to bring all your supplies here, but we have also plenty of shops where you can purchase all these things.
