TS tradition sets a precedent that the military can take out a government that violates the Constitution or fails to enforce the Constitution. It can also take out a government engaging in a wholly un-Christian act, such as committing war crimes, genocide, slaughter, and so on.

The armed forces of the Undying Empire pledge their allegiance to the Emperor of the Undying Empire, His Glorious Majesty Valerion III Vaegalis vay Anogaryen, and his appointed commanders. They swear an oath to uphold the decree of the Emperor, to slay his enemies and protect his people. This oath is made before the gods of Ephyra, and thus desertion from this oath or duty is considered a grave crime. The oath is life-lasting, and every new member of the armed forces must swear this oath.

At the same time, armed forces swear an oath of loyalty to the heir apparent long before he takes the throne. This ensures that the soldiers are bound by sacred oath after the death of one Emperor and before the ascension of another. The oath is then renewed when the heir apparent is crowned, and a new oath is sworn to the new heir apparent should one be present at the time.
