The Samuderan English Spelling is based on and follows the modern British Spelling, though additionally, there are some mix of American Spelling due to the popularity of many Hollywood movies there. English is the second most important language in our country after Malay, our official language, and has been given acknowledgement by the government as one of the national languages. A significant percentage (30%) of the population speaks English regularly, and close to 93% of our population are bilingual, fluent in both Malay and English.

An unique fact is that there is a creole based-English language used by adults and teens as one of the languages used in daily conversation and is considered as Bahasa Gaul, called Sanglish or Samuderan English, a mixture of English, Malay, Chinese, and some others.

Example(s) of Sanglish:

"Harus go to hospital segera lah!"
Correct English: "I have to go to the hospital immediately!"

"Kena punishment by that teacher kita nanti!"
Correct English: "We'll be punished by that teacher later!"

"Mom, boleh I ask you something?"
Correct English: "Mom, may I ask you something?"

Devernite English is heavily influenced by Bigtopia (America), so as such, the local variety of English in Devernia follows the Bigtopian standard.

-ou- / -o- -o.
-re / -er -er.
-ce / -se -se.
-xion / -ction -ction. The suffix -xion is considered archaic and citizens would think you look funny if you use it.
-ise / -ize / -yse / -yze -ize/-yze.
-ogue / -og Depends on the word. Some words only use one spelling (monologue/synagogue as mentioned in OP), most others can have either (catalog/catalogue, dialog/dialogue).
-mme / -m -m.
-l- / -ll- -ll.
æ / œ / e We separate the two letters, or omit them as per modern English. Again, using æ or œ is considered archaic.
Provide other examples as wished
Other miscellaneous spellings OOC: There might be, but for now, none.

-ou- / -o- -ou ("Colour", "Armour", "Glamour")
-re / -er -re ("Centre", "Quartre", "Poundre"
-ce / -se both acceptable (context depending)
-xion / -ction -ction. X as a letter doesn't exist in Huterrica. It's merely a symbol
-ise / -ize / -yse / -yze -ise ("Capitalise", "Criticise", "Glamourise")
    -ogue / -og both acceptable
-mme / -m -m for words like Program, Telegram, Mammogram, but we use -mm for words like Programming, Telegramming, Mammogramming
-l- / -ll- -l, with the exception of full
    æ / œ / e AE for Aesthetic, OE for Oesophagus, E just makes a sound.
    Provide other examples as wished

While English is taught in Valkhynean schools, the language of Valkhynean is a derivative of English. Much like Jamaican Patois, Valkhynean was once merely a dialect, but generations of separate evolution rendered it incomprehensible to a standard British English speaker.

When a Valkhynean speaks English, though, these rules tend to apply:

-ou- / -o- Most frequently, -ou- is used.
-re / -er Mostly -er. Using -re, as in "theatre," is seen as obnoxious.
-ce / -se Usually -se, but -ce is not unheard of.
-xion / -ction Valkhyneans prefer -xion for simplicity.
-ise / -ize / -yse / -yze Usually -yse and -yze are used because the "i" is strictly pronounced short in Valkhynean.
-ogue / -og Valkhyneans prefer the informal -og.
    -mme / -m Most Valkhyneans use -m.
-l- / -ll- Depends on the word.
æ / œ / e Exclusively "e" is used in conjunction with other standard English vowels.

    -ou- / -o- Ou
-re / -er Re for most words, although certain words, such as theater, are spelled with an 'er'.
-ce / -se Both are used depending on the word. (For example, 'defence' is always spelled with a '-ce' but license is always spelled with an '-se')
    -xion / -ction -ction
-ise / -ize / -yse / -yze All variants are used and considered correct, but -ise and -yse are more common.
    -ogue / -og -og
-mme / -m -m is used for most words, with one exception. The word 'programme' as used in Gandoorese English has a different meaning from 'program'. Programme here refers to what in American English would be a season of a television program.
-l- / -ll- Both are used, depending on the word.
    æ / œ / e e, usage of æ or œ is considered archaic and improper.

      Uses certain NS stats.

Atlantis is an MT nation that is the third richest country in the world, behind only China and the United States. It is closer to the USA, UK, Italy and Spain (in that order, though Italy and Spain is probably tied) culturally than it is Greece. It is also a naval power.

And no, Atlantis is not underwater: It has a land area around the size of France.

Pros: Classical liberalism, democracy, the West, Brexit, Viktor Orban, free education, strong military
Cons: Authoritarianism, fascism, communism, multiculturalism, Islamism
