Sandcutter Daily Latest August 2018,1st At a ceremony presided by the Hundredstar Coast Guard Commandant, Rear Admiral (CG) Ralph Benson, GACO Aviation & Missile System officially handed over an GACO H-1 Firefly helicopter to the Hundredstarian Coast Guard. This new helicopter, which will be based in the Coast Guard Aviation Station Queenborough and used for search and rescue missions in the Hundredstar sea, marks the start of the renewal process for the Coast Guard’s fleet of helicopters. The GACO H-1 Firefly delivered to the Hundredstarian Coast Guard has an Automatic Flight Control System, an invaluable flying aid that allows SAR missions to be carried out with greater precision, safety and effectiveness. In its SAR role, the aircraft is equipped with searchlights, a winch, and a rescue basket, although it can also be rapidly reconfigured to carry out other missions such as coastal surveillance, port security or aid missions for coastal communities. H-1 will be equipped with the most advanced search and rescue mission systems and operated in security enforcement, territorial sea guard duties as well as disaster relief missions.
