While Islam is a minority religion, it is also the third largest at around 480 million adherents, which is less than .1% of the population. It is behind Judaism (678 million), which both are dwarfed by the Hraenic Christian Church (7.8 billion).

The central powers of Islam are within the Grand Mosque of Dorbozy, located in the Cjian Autonomous Republic (north-central Vallanmoor), in which they practice a strange mix of tribal governing with progressive demeanor. The larger Cjian tribes of Siame and Dorbozy are the ethnic groups which are predominately Muslim in faith.

Cjian Islam is, for the most part, reformed, non-denominational, and has large influence from the Bektashi Order (and other Balkan Muslims). In accordance with Bektashi tradition, they are a relaxed sect that rarely does adhere to Muslim law. They have dancing and wine-drinking ceremonies, and have adopted some Christian tradition, such as the ritual sharing of bread, and confessing to sins.

However those in legal power who would uphold Sharia Law can be expelled and jailed for long periods of time in Vallanmoor, and likewise child marriage, polygamy, and domestic abuse have been outlawed by Cjian Muslims on their own merit to comply with the law. This is to distance themselves from other Scorian Islamic nations that would otherwise have no problem with these ideologies that are not compatible with Valscorian Law.

This is also to show Cjian commitment to Tol Čast (The Oath). The Oath is an unofficial agreement between all Valscorian groups (including those outside of Vallanmoor) to hold one another as equals, regardless of their individual differences, in the advancement of their peoples. The Oath has led to substantial cooperation between the Hraenic Church and the Mosque of Dorbozy, and relations between the two religious groups are good.

The above statement just about sums up Sidh attitudes towards traditional religion in general and Islam in particular. Given the latter's long history of religious extremism and violence, it is regarded with particular suspicion by the Imperial authorities, but is generally tolerated within the confines of the human ghettos as long as it doesn't become a cause for anti-Sidh rebellion. Which it more often than not does.

Obviously, any misguided efforts by Muslim radicals to "spread the God's religion" and "shake off the yoke of godless kaffir idolaters" with the force of arms are suppressed rather quickly and mercilessly. Unlike the Western authorities of old that found dealing with Islamic terrorism challenging because of their own belief in inalienable rights of all men, even sworn enemies, Sidhae have no qualms about slaughtering entire populations of troublesome minorities in reprisal even for isolated terrorist attacks or other forms of rebellion, and show little restraint or hesitation in impressing that upon their subject populations. The purpose of such brutality is to impress upon their human subjects that they exist solely at the pleasure and mercy of their Sidh betters, who already demonstrate more than their due share of tolerance by suffering such useless waste of resources as them, and that this tolerance has it's limits that best not be tested. Sidh authorities want to ensure that the subjugated humans realize that their Sidh masters have absolutely no need or use for them even as slaves, and that their continued existence or extinction is of no consequence whatsoever to the Sidhae either way, so it's best not to test their patience. Once the humans recognize and accept that as a fact of life, they will be disinclined to rebel for the sake of their own survival, thus requiring no more heavy-handed measures to be dispensed by the Imperial authorities.

With the above being true throughout the Imperium, it's Muslim human residents generally remain peaceful and subservient, grudgingly accepting the rule of the infidel Sidhae, who generally leave them to their own devices in any case. Those few who allow their religious superstitions to get the better of their judgement tend to find very gruesome examples made of themselves, often along with their extended families and entire communities. The Sidh authorities carrying out these collective punishments have a habit of making these examples of religious malcontents maximally religiously-offensive to the target audience, in order to attack the very belief system of the rebels, such as by denying them afterlife by tarnishing their ritual purity before their eventual demise. In the case of Muslim rebels, it usually entails sewing captured extremists in pig carcasses before execution, force-feeding the remains of suicide bombers to their family members and associates before the same, or something of similar nature that tarnishes the subjects' ritual purity and makes them ineligible for afterlife in their belief system without proper purification (obviously denied to them by their execution).

Such heavy-handed policies have generally proven effective, few Imperial cities with adjacent ghettos having any significant trouble with members of any religion. Religiously-motivated violence (as well as violence in general) among humans themselves is a whole another matter, but is generally deemed of no consequence to the Sidh authorities. If a particular religious group threatens to overwhelm others and become dominant in the ghetto, the authorities apply the maxim of dividing and conquering - they simply resettle a sizable portion of the residents off-world and ship in a large batch of off-worlders belonging to different religions to replace them, ensuring that no single creed or ideology becomes sufficiently powerful to unite the denizens of the ghetto and emboldens them to rising against their Sidh masters.

In general terms, the life of Muslims in the Imperium is no different than that of any other humans - short, brutish, squalid, unhappy and full of fear and uncertainty.

It's not discouraged persay, like any religion is, but the culture of Ardrentt places a very shy position away from making religion and faith something that belongs heavily in the public discourse and especially pushing it to the realm of literalism, especially since in the eyes of most Ardrenttides, religion is far more of a cultural issue than that of a textual one. That being said, someone could regard themselves as being highly religious and practice many of their faiths in their home or at their place of worship, discussing it in public more when prominent events have occurred, at home or abroad, and that would be seen as acceptable.
