How is Islam treated in your country?

Islam is the only religion that is banned in Sleetavia due to it's abhorrent practices and traditions.

Islam is legal, although it is considered the smallest of the major religions in Gandoor, with only around 7500 people professing belief in Islam. Practitioners of Islam are guaranteed the constitutional freedom to practice their religion, provided that their practices do not interfere with other laws or constitutional freedoms. This is the same freedom given to followers of all religions within Gandoor.

Under a secular stratocratic government, the People's Republic of Zhouran has a very small number of Muslims, with 99% of them being foreigners. Interestingly, the Zhouranese are more sympathetic to the Shia Muslims than the Sunni Muslims, since they generally associate Sunni Islam with Saudi Arabia and Wahhabism. Not only that, the PRZ is supportive of both Iran and Hezbollah.

Wearing of headscarves is permitted everywhere, full-face veil not permitted in judicial system and certain professions, mostly those in the police force, otherwise permitted everywhere. Religious schools are not permitted in the English Regions. Muslims can request religious days off.

Islam is actually a very popular religion among the old tribes of Heif; most notably Thokaland where 72% of the population adheres to Sunni Islam. That being said, the Dovinlanders are the only people in Heif who really have a problem with Islam, since they had to give up land so the Thokans could have autonomy.

However, we treat this "official religion" thing much more like Sweden than like Saudi Arabia (though Swahili are against legal alcohol, but then, the USA prohibited that once as well and they were never an Islamic state...).
