How is Islam treated in your country?

Islam, like any other religion, is legal to practice but is not widespread. There are even some leaders in power who heavily distrust proponents of Islam, mostly in Albania though.

Around 0.6% of Elisavetia's population practices Islam. Elisavetia's constitution guarantees freedom of religion, and there is a mosque in the capital Pavlovsk. Islamophobia in the country is not common, as there have been no Islamic Wahhabi terror attacks in the country, and most people are suspicious of Western foreign policy in the Middle East.

The Jewish and Muslim communities of Elisavetia are very close, due to their shared dietary laws and religious beliefs. The Muslim community are frequent consumers of Jewish shop and farming cooperatives, and in turn, many Jewish workers of those cooperatives helped finance the building of their mosque in 2010.

Ever since the 1956 Civil War & subsequent Revolution, Islam has been the official religion of Tebuh ever since the Islamic Republic was declared. Approximately 99% of Tebuhi profess belief in Islam, but other minority religions are still respected. Tebuh enforces shariah law for all practicing Muslims, and Islamic holidays are nationwide holidays. It is not uncommon to see people driving stop in the middle of the road when it is time for the five daily prayers.

Sunni Islam has the status of "registered minority religion" in South Zimenma and is practiced by roughly 20% of the population. As a registered minority religion, it reaps several benefits:

1. It has its own department in the Commissariat of Religious Affairs--the Subcommissariat of Islamic Affairs.
2. The Grand Mufti of Tractingrad is traditionally appointed by the Supreme Secretary (head of state) to serve as Deputy Commissar of Islamic Affairs, but this is not a legal requirement. Although it has never occurred in the past, it is entirely possible that a future Supreme Secretary might choose to appoint a different Muslim scholar, as the Central Government has no control over the appointment of the Grand Mufti, but does have control over the appointment of a Deputy Commissar.
3. According to the Constitution, the Grand Mufti of Tractingrad (the capital) is always an ex officio member of the People's Soviet, which is the lower chamber of the Supreme Soviet.
4. State funding is available for the construction and maintenance of Sunni Muslim mosques, though such mosques are not required to obtain/accept this funding in order to operate. Non-Sunni mosques are allowed, but the Central Government will not help with funding.
5. Sunni Muslims have access to an alternative court system for all civil matters (think Lebanon). In criminal cases, their clerics are allowed to advise secular courts when the accused or the victim is Muslim, but the cleric must be a Sunni. Shi'ites and other types of Muslims can access these legal services, but because of Sunni-Shia tensions will generally only do so for some civil cases to avoid secular courts.

In addition to this, there are two areas in which we've been uniquely impacted by Islam:

Western District. The semi-autonomous Western District is South Zimenma's only Muslim-majority oblast and shares a border with North Zimenma, its neofascist neighbor. North Zimenman-backed Zionist insurgents routinely attack Muslim villages in the Western District, and in the territories they control, Muslims are driven away or executed on site. Our security services have recently gained ground, with the terrorists only controlling 5% of the Western District at this point, but cross-border attacks are common.

Islamic Socialist Protectorate of Palestine. South Zimenma liberated Palestine from Zionist occupation on July 28, 2018 and established a protectorate there. Palestine is fully self-governing but temporarily relies on South Zimenma for defence and security. Palestine's state religion is Sunni Islam, and Sharia law is applied throughout the Protectorate on all residents, regardless of their religious affiliations, for all civil and most criminal cases.

However, as Islam was adopted as a religion, it was integrated with said native traditions, and this allowed for a smooth and peaceful transition of religious control.

Today, about 12% of the population would explicitly identify as being Muslim over being followers of the native religion, while up to 25% identifies as at least being "culturally Muslim". Even when practiced from a pagan context, however, many Islamic influences remain in the native traditions as they are observed today. Islamic violence is a very minor problem, and is immediately stamped out.

The nation is welcoming to Muslims, puts no limits on their religious attire (Hijabs, Burkas, etc), and food producers are required to mark products as Halal, and Kosher for that matter. The nation has welcome thousands of Muslim refugees and immigrants to the nation as well, with a high integration rate.
