There is no speed limit as most of my PATHETIC slaves are too poor to own vehicles. Military vehicles have a speed minimum though - if they're not going fast enough to kill anyone in their paths they're breaking the law!

Speed limits only exist in cities, towns, and villages.
Typical speed limit is about 40 kmh to about 70 kmh.

Forall private roads, the owner and controller of the road sets the speed limit.

For dirt roads and state-paved roads outside of cities, the speed is fifty five miles per hour. Roads inside of cities are thirty five miles per hour or less.

Auzkhia is world famous for our unlimited Autobahn, in which you can go as fast you can. All vehicles must go at least 100 km/h in order to drive, it is recommended but enforced to drive at least 130-140 km/h.

Back roads are at least 100 km/h. Cities keep it to 50 km/h, residential areas are 30 km/h.

There is quite literally no speed limit in Gurori.

People normally drive at about:

20mph/32kph tops in residential areas and around both hospitals and schools.

40mph/64kph tops on major roads in urban and suburban areas.

80mph/128/kph tops in rural areas.

120mph/193kph tops on highways/motorways/whatever.

Although this is only because the majority of the populace would rather live.

Although there are SOME people who occasionally go 670616629.3844mph/1079252848.7999215kph or even over that because they're either insane or know what they're doing.

(For reference, 670616629.3844mph is the speed of LIGHT)

Residential areas: 30 km/h
Built-up areas: 50 km/h
Motorvei (motorway): 120 km/h
Everywhere else: 100 km/h unless there is a different sign.

It is strongly recommended to stay 1–2 km/h below the limit at all times. Nordic law prescribes fines and jail time for many traffic violations, and the police will prosecute for even a few km/h over the limit.

Each province sets their own speed limits. However pursuant to section 7.6.48 of the Federal Highway Standardization Act of 2016; speed limits nationwide cannot go higher than 170 kph and on all federal highways the maximum speed limit shall be 150 kph with the exception in cities where the speed limit on federal highways shall be 80 kph.

In low-atmosphere (generally 30,000m) the speed limit on all planets in the Greater Siriusian Domain is universally 1,000km/h - a bit slower than the speed of sound. Anything from 30,000m to 10x the diameter of the planet doesn't necessarily have a speed limit - instead, you're not allowed to engage any FTL drives. Beyond 10x the diameter of the planet, it's unrestricted. Changes of velocity around orbital structures (within 1,000m) are limited to 1m/s², except for deceleration relative to the orbital structure's velocity or if it would prevent a collision with the structure or another ship.

The absolute maximum is 100km/hr on the open road, although lower speed limits are more common. In cities the speed limit is usually around 50km/hr.

Notes:

There is only one highway on Seamount, locally called "The [Great] Ash" (from its official name, All-Seamount Highway but also asphalt) and this is the only road where you are legally allowed to exceed 40 mph. On all other public rural roads – asphalted or not (locally called "graf roads") – 40 mph is the maximum legal speed limit (although this is widely unenforced).
Inside urban parishes and township limits the speed limit is 20 mph. This is often only strictly applied to central areas and school zones with some townships allowing 30 mph in outerlying areas. (Again, these are widely unenforced.)
