Globalization, CBSH

Postby GreyPoupon » Fri Apr 21, 2017 6:44 am

Globalization is a force every country must content with. What is your country's position on the increasing integration of economics, telecommunications, politics, and cultures? Why? What are the policies of your government that encourage/ discourage globalization?

I think globalization is extremely important and my country's position is one in support of this integration because it's better to be interconnected with other nations than to take an isolationist approach. The main policy encouraging it at the moment is free access to methods of communication, most prominently social media, without any restriction.

Globalization, CBSH

Postby NorthUnicornLandia » Fri Apr 21, 2017 7:08 am

As the leader of NorthUnicornLandia, Booty 3 H., I believe that globalization does benefit the nations. It provides a unity umong the other nations with communication that allow for long lasting friendships. International influence umong the world is important to me and I hope that someday I can have such high authority to be able to dominate the world in a way and make everyone suffer as well as make everyone my subjects... errr I mean friends. Yes, friends indeed. Did I say suffer? I meant be happy! Globalization is known to help with underemployed and poverty. Technological advances can also be made and can help with the influence.

The federation itself is based on diversity and free access to the internet which is fundamental for the future of the Federation. Maybe the net isn’t able to meet requirements on security, hacking is making population to sell less online. The internet is a state of mind, dangerous at times. We do have filters pointed to possible terrorist groups, sex without consent and human trafficking. This measures only make the internet safer, there are crimes that either online on in front of you are still crimes.

Globalization is something that you need because it helps us with growing more economically. We get more money from it which makes the people happy. When the people are happy we have a nice government.

My country totally opposes globalization. Our country is built for its people, for its culture, and for its identity.

The People's Republic of Kirislavia strongly opposes economic globalisation. Capitalist imperialism and the proliferation of multi-national corporations has led to rampant exploitation and global inequality. In recognition of this, we are mostly isolationist when it comes to the economy.

However, we do believe in global communism, so to say we are completely opposed to "globalisation" as a concept would be disingenuous. We simply condemn it in its current form, as a means of furthering the spread of capitalism.

The Communist Democracy of New Transeurasia somewhat opposes globalization. You know how North Korea is isolationist? Well, in the 1960s after the Korean War, North Korea's economy actually was better than South Korea's economy. North Korea had a very stable government and South Korea ended 3 or 4 governments in the early 1960s.

Malaguenia understands the benefits of globalisation but there is point when it is considered too much, that it causes more problems than benefits. For example example we do not allow too much migrational globalisation with controlled borders, because Malaguenia was built for Malaguenians (not saying only Malaguenians are allowed to live in Malaguenia but immigrants have to assimilate, and respect Malaguenian culture and values) Also we will not allow allow globalist governments and elites to hijack our nation. Also some economic restrictions are required to ensure a stable economy, for example we ban foreign ownership of residential property. and have many restrictions on foreign ownership on non-residential property.

Our government has long been a champion of globalisation and all that it entails. Specific policies are too many to list all of them, but here are a few:

- Free trade agreements with many nations around the world
- Tax breaks and other economic incentives for investment into Marstan
- A commitment to spending at least 0.8% of our national GDP on international development
- Relatively few restrictions on immigration
- An open and diverse society underpinned by our so-called "anti-nationalist laws"
- Large scale expansion of the nation's air and sea-ports

While parts of our program are opposed by both the far left and far right here, in general our ambition is to be a modern, progressive & outward-looking nation and most people here support that.

The government is notably pro-globalization, with free trade being a standard policy and a slight ease at immigration. However, technically, the nation does practice protectionism through business subsidizations and many state-owned/partly state-owned enterprises (most notably CyberMirage).

The irony that an imperialist nation would boost Nationalism by spreading an alliance of Nationalist client states in its wake does not go unnoticed by some of the sharper proponents of globalization.

The nation's ideology is National Technocracy, rule by elites for the benefit of the nation, with preservation of a distinct cultural identity.

Globalization promotes trade and cultural influences internationally. As leader of Jaikarsa. I am all for globalization and its huge benefits. I want to bring people from all states to mine. Trade, alliances, different cultures; they all come with globalization. It is beneficial and those who disagree are not trying to prosper their country and help it grow.

Overall, we are neutral on globalisation. Immigrants coming to our country would be a source of labour for us, but it is true they may cause problems. Emigrants would ease the burden on our resources but at the same time, it could cause labour shortages and brain drains. Free trade between countries might sound good for the economy in general, but local companies might not be able to compete fair. Learning other people's culture is great if you wanna immigrate there and to understand them better, but what about our own? Due to these reasons, we can't really say whether we advocate or oppose globalisation.

I, Veronica Sawyer, believe that globalization is very important and can only beneficial. It helps forge relations with other countries and can help stop suffering and war. I see that the current increase of connectivity between countries will help us in the long run and will benefit everyone greatly. Whilst economy could be hurt by it, it is a small price to pay for fewer wars and hurt. IT also helps with equality within state borders. Heathes has been a very social country and will continue to be so.

Globilisation has largely passed Brellach by. Barely intergrated into the global economy, Brellach has few imports or exports, and the costs for trying either are generally quite high. Besides exporting some handcrafted goods as little more than curiosities, and importing very small amounts of technology such as computers that are beyond Brellach's capabilities to manufacture, very little trade occurs, and only a single fibre-optic cable links Brellach to the global communications grid. Attempts by the government to modernise the country have fallen flat, as the population mostly refuses to attend full time education, preferring to home-school children in time-honoured familial vocations, and without an educated, wealthy workforce it has proven difficult to attract financial institutions or high technology firms. Because Brellach has a religious aversion to industry, it is not capable of attracting any other kinds of economic activity because the regulations are too strict, which has left the Holy Queendom stuck between a 'rock and a hard place'.

Coupled with its reluctance to become involved in international politics, Brellach is thought of by most other countries as an impoverished, underdeveloped, insignificant country of no real importance.
