What are some radio and television station identifications or test cards from your country? You can also post pictures of station ID cards received by TV viewers or radio listeners in your nation.

[TURTLESHROOM II]

All radio stations in TurtleShroom are required to transmit their frequency and callsign. Normally, they do so every hour on the hour, but they can do it more frequently if they wish.

Here is an example. One of TurtleShroom's most famous radio stations was 667.6 AM, Stellar Radio. 667.6 AM was a numbers station used by a non-state, private entity that had long been the subject of conspiracy theories.

Every hour on the hour, it would broadcast an unencrypted, musical jingle where people would sing its callsign: "Six-Six-Seven Point Six! Stellar U-N-T!".

Lay (ham) radio operators are required to broadcast their frequency and callsign as well.

As radio in TurtleShroom is wholly unreuglated (beyond prohibitions on using radio to transmit criminal act, deeds, instructions, etc.), any issues where neighbors share the same frequencies are handled in court, with the senior station being allowed to keep its frequency over a newer station.

[Great Karoo]

Test card of gku, Great Karoo's Afrikaans language public broadcaster. Test card is the same for KBC (English-language counterpart of gku), just with the KBC logo instead of gku's.



Here's a screencap of gku's ident, showing what programs are up next. The slogan, translated from Afrikaans, means "The one for entertainment".

[Palenquan Union]

Test card for all broadcasters in the Palenquan Union, featuring the face of Great Instigator Smoke-Jaguar and the words 'Palenquan Union' in standard Kaytzil. This is looped constantly, used by radio stations as identification as well.

[Fatatatutti]

In Fatatatutti, you're responsible for your own testing.

Station identification consists of simple announcements such as, "You're watching FatatatuTV."

TurtleShroom uses the SECAM standard for its television broadcasts. Its broadcasts remain strictly analog in nature.

This is the test card for TurtleShroomian State Television ("the Government Channel") on Channel One.

Since 1991 AD, this has been accompanied with this licensed song on loop as the background melody.

Channel One is used for weather and emergency alerts, crime alerts, air raid alerts, nuclear warnings, and any other form of emergency broadcasting. It is the only channel that has the authority to override and interrupt a braodcast on a different channel.

The foreign telecommunicatiosn giant known as AT&T retains a monopoly in TS on all telecommunications except computers.
