Portsmouth

The Municipality of Portsmouth is the largest city of the Aurensian Republic. Located in the Commonwealth of Freemont, Portsmouth is also the oldest constituent city, having been founded in 1251. Dartmouth is the second largest city in Aurensia. It is located in, as well as it is the capital of the Commonwealth of Elliston, and is also the second largest port in the nation. The city is host to the largest variation of businesses in the Republic, having nearly 24 headquarters of different industries. Dartmouth is also referred to as "Education Central" having more places of learning per square mile than any other urban area in the country. Dartmouth was incorporated as a city in 1348. Its population at last census was 543,200 people and it is approximately 84 square miles. Dartmouth is also a major manufacturing hub.

Exeter was the first capital city of the Aurensian Republic, having been founded shortly after independence in 1604. Exeter is host to a wide variety of museums and cultural exhibitions and is the de facto artistic center of Aurensia. It is located in the Commonwealth of Burleson. Its population at last census was 520,670 people. Its footprint was approximately 89 square miles.

Dover is located in the Commonwealth of Sullivan and is host to a wide variety of restaurants and its nightlife is almost legendary. Dover was incorporated in 1543 and at one point served as the Provincial capital of Aurensia during its period of Imperial dependency. Dover is well-known for its independent culture as well as the largest northernmost city. With a population of 465,500 at last census, its footprint is approximately 72 square miles making it one of the smaller large cities by total area.

Concord is also the capital of the Confederation. It is an independent federal district and is governed by a coalition of representatives and administrators from across the various Commonwealth. Concord is the youngest of the largest cities in Aurensia, having been founded in 1870, after the second Constitution was adopted and the Deens Act was passed. Concord has served as the capital of the nation ever since. The city is host to the entire civic bodywork of the Confederation and is one of the most diverse cities in the Republic, both in terms of foreigners and other Commonwealth residents. Concord's resident population was 228,400 at last census and it was exactly (as defined in the Constitution) 50 square miles.
