2017 Utadarian presidential election

[Utadar]

UPDATE: The polls have closed and the votes are being counted by the Utadar Election Committee. Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Ayushiyeva is projected to win the election with 55.6% of the vote. Utadar Liberty candidate Ivan Yermolayevich, having previously told Ayushiyeva to go back to the kitchen, will not accept the election results and will demand a recount immediately.

The Super Democratic Republic of Utadar has decided to hold early elections after incumbent President Avgust Yermolayevich announced his retirement due to old age. Both major political parties are running two candidates in this election, plus four independents, for a total of eight candidates. The top candidate from each party plus the top two independents will move on to the second round, and the candidate who wins a majority of the vote wins the election.
