What would be the Swedish or a New Norse-ish translation of “Great(er) Sweden/Scandinavia”?

'Greater Sweden' can be translated as Stora Sverige, with stor meaning 'great', 'big', 'huge', etc. It derives from Old Norse stórr, meaning the same, thus also exists in Danish and Norwegian. Alternatively, you might wish to use Svenska Riket, 'Swedish Realm', if it sounds nicer to you, but that term is generally used for the Swedish Empire, which prevailed in the 17th and early 18th century and encompassed a huge chunk of the Baltic Sea area way beyond Sweden proper in its peak time, so these might end up mixed up, depending on your purpose ...

Cheers. I initially thought of going with “Scandinavia Maior”, but I wasn’t too sure. I currently plan a modern Swedish-led Scandinavian empire, including Asatru as a predominant minority faith and such. Would it still be called Sweden or ought I use ‘Skandinavien’ instead?

Now, if it's Swedish-led, you could technically leave it with Sweden, but judging by the real-life history of Scandinavia, I could imagine, that this might cause some ethnic conflicts, unless you can magically convince Danes and Norwegians to identify as Swedish. May I propose Nordiska Riket ('the Nordic Realm') or Stora Nordiska Riket ('Great(er) Nordic Realm') instead? It somewhat sounds nicer in my ears.
Also, with Norse Paganism being a notably prevalent faith, they might get along well with my people.

The point is, how do u prevent ur language from being just a clone of another but with different words?

I'm a conlanger myself (in fact, my whole region is)
changing some grammatical rules works, pronunciations, maybe diacritics might work if you need them
use different loanwords, too, to give it a unique cultural feel

I might need someone with fluency on Polish to take a look at this idea of making a Polish-themed transliterated exonym.

Long story short, there was an old battle between not!Polish and not!Anglo-Saxons. Not!Anglo-Saxon general got captured and would be executed. This guy is respected even among his foes. As his last words, he said something like "son of a bitch". For some reason, the not!Polish decides to name the execution place as "Sononowicze", after this general's last words, transliterated and Polonized. Not sure how realistic such a premise would be.

As an alternative, the Anglo-Saxon general is ransomed and the phrase become a memorable signature statement from this person. Such the place is named after it.
