CURRENT PETITION RESULTS


The petition to outlaw the Capitalism Now! Party has been going on for a few days. The petition, at time of writing, has 8 million signatures. That means that the current percentage of the population calling for the outlawing of the CNP is 20% of the required 70%. The petition still has plenty of time to accumulate enough of the population's signatures.

Many foreign nations are either speaking out against the petition or in support of it. 46 have answered in a poll that the Valgoran government should outlaw the CNP at 70% signatures, 10 are for increasing the 70% to 90% which is also an attainable goal, and 66 have said that Valgora should not outlaw the CNP even if 100% of the population signs the petition.

"LEADER" OF THE CNP ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL


Over the weekend, the "leader" of the Capitalism Now! Party was admitted to the hospital. The doctors report that Yrkill Mathiasson has a concussion and has lost several teeth. He apparently got into a tavern brawl at the Sem Drukkinn Úlfur.

The tavern keeper said that Yrkill got into an argument with a man. Then, Yrkill began insulting the man for being a commie before escalating to insulting the fact that the man's brother had died during the revolution. The man then sent a right hook into Yrkill's jaw knocking teeth out, bruising Yrkill's jaw, and causing him to suffer a concussion.

An ambulance came and took Yrkill to the hospital where he is now receiving treatment.

The UCE Diplomatic Division sent out this cable today in response to recent events involving the Valgoran party under dispute.

We, in accordance with the UCE's constitutional and cultural principles, continue to disapprove of the referendum. We also express disappointment that the leader of the Capitalism Now! Party provoked another man into attacking him and hope he shows more decorum and politeness in the future, as befits a citizen of a democratic state.
The United Colonies of Earth exists:
to encourage settlement of all habitable worlds in the Galaxy and perhaps the Universe by the human race;
to ensure that human rights are respected, with force if necessary, and that all nations recognize the inevitable and unalienable rights of all human beings regardless of their individual and harmless differences, or Idiosyncrasies;
to represent the interests of all humankind to other sapient species;
to protect all humanity and its’ colonies from unneeded violence or danger;
to promote technological advancement and scientific achievement for the happiness, knowledge and welfare of all humans;
and to facilitate cooperation in the spheres of law, transportation, communication, and measurement between nation-states.

PETITION RESULTS


The petition is now over with the results showing 40% of Valgorans support the outlawing of the Capitalism Now! Party. Another 56% of Valgorans wrote their signature and also wrote variations of "I really don't care if the CNP is outlawed". Only 4% said that the CNP should not be outlawed for political freedom reasons.

It is currently unknown what the government will do.

CNP COUNTER-REVOLUTIONARIES ATTACK: 20 DEAD, 44 INJURED


Yesterday, six CNP terrorists began shooting in Martröð Tunglið's main subway station. The counter-revolutionaries managed to kill 20 people before armed citizens killed all but two of the terrorists. Law enforcement managed to kill one and injure the last one as they tried to flee.

It should be very obvious that the captured terrorist will be executed after being interrogated.
