The battle to lift the ban on gays and male bisexuals adopting children is fiercely debated. Various administrations have forced through amendments to the law which have either banned or unbanned gays and male bisexuals from adopting children, with the most recent law being passed a decade ago in 2009, banning them from adopting again. In 2015 the Supreme Court declared the ban unconstitutional, de-facto allowing all LGBT's to adopt children, however the Supreme Court also declared that adoption services would be allowed to factor in sexual orientation when deciding on adoption cases.
