Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet? Yes.
If no, why not? N/A
Are there any regions, states, provinces, etc. in your country that gay marriage is illegal? No. We simply don't care enough.
What percentage of your population is homosexual? There are no statistics on sexuality but we're a sexually open society. Most relevant report is from a study showing that male citizens have a stronger preference for trans women than cisgender women. Single men went as far as taking HRT to become "datable" than to give cis women a chance.
Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal? No. Secularism is mandatory for all public spaces, expression of Atheism or Theism is only permitted on academic and private grounds.
Are schools allowed to refuse LGBT people? No. Harming children's ability to learn is heavily discouraged in a nation built by academic elites.
Are jobs allowed to refuse LGBT people? No.
Are restaurants and other services allowed to refuse service to LGBT people? No.
Are LGBT people allowed to adopt? Yes. Since there's no national consensus of people based on sexuality, all citizens are treated as equals in this regard.
This NS doesn't represent irl views | Factbook (WIP)
An interstellar Technocratic & Progressive, albeit Fascist state ruled by Administrator Nadia Elbaz, elected by the Technocratic Council, a committee of intellectual elites. Only Academic elites can hold political power. Anti-Technocracy advocates are "Recycled" in the name of progress. Citizenry is taken care of so they can focus on innovation or service to the Technocracy.

See Borgevia for RL views.

Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet? : It is legal in ALL parts of the Empire.

If no, why not? : N/A

Are there any regions, states, provinces, etc. in your country that gay marriage is illegal? : No.

What percentage of your population is homosexual? : 10% estimated

Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal? : Yes. The gods, spirits, and ancestors of many Vivan religions were openly and unashamedly gay and PLENTY of Vivan deities were/are ardent proponents of gay marriage. Vivan deities just like Vivan people are DEEPLY concerned with liberty and freedom and religious/government regulation of marriage is considered an abomination against liberty. Many of the deities in the Empire have the liberty and freedom domains so in fact gay marriage in a sense is a holy thing. Thus many churches in Terravivus have influenced the nation as a whole to abandon any influences from the outside that seek to destroy the sanctity of (ALL) marriage and liberty. Scientifically speaking, all arguments having biases against homosexuality have been debunked by Terravivan and international science. Atheistic beliefs have ALSO found homosexuality to be perfectly natural and have strongly pushed away any foreign influences seeking to destroy liberty at its core.

Are schools allowed to refuse LGBT people? : Never.

Are jobs allowed to refuse LGBT people? : No.

Are restaurants and other services allowed to refuse service to LGBT people? : No.

Are LGBT people allowed to adopt? : Absoluetly.

Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet?
Gay marriage is recognized as a legal part of marriage within the Confederate Charter and the Membership Pact.

If no, why not?
N/A

Are there any regions, states, provinces, etc. in your country that gay marriage is illegal?
No. Joining the Confederacy requires an aspiring member state to sign the Pact and adopt the Charter as part of their governmental and legal systems.

What percentage of your population is homosexual?
Unknown.

Working off of extrapolations and averages from smaller sample sizes however, it is estimated that homosexuals and other LGBT individuals who don't identify as "straight" makes up 0.5% to 2% of the total population.

Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal?
Gradual shifts in religious and secular views have resulted in a hypothetical ban on gay marriage being just as unthinkable and ridiculous as a ban on straight marriage. Both influenced the decision, although most considerations would be secular in nature.

Are schools allowed to refuse LGBT people?
No.

Are jobs allowed to refuse LGBT people?
No.

Are restaurants and other services allowed to refuse service to LGBT people?
No.

Are LGBT people allowed to adopt?
Yes.

Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet? No.
If no, why not? Marriage is understood universally in Nystorland as a union between a man and a woman for the purpose of raising children.
Are there any regions, states, provinces, etc. in your country that gay marriage is illegal? Not on paper. Culture and tradition in Nystorland are observed/practiced to such an extent that to explicitly define marriage as "one man, one woman" would be seen as raising the question in and of itself.
What percentage of your population is homosexual? It is estimated to be around 1-3%.
Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal? Yes.
Are schools allowed to refuse LGBT people? State-run schools do not screen for the sexual proclivities of their students, but openly aberrant behavior will be reprimanded, or the student recommended to a mental health professional.
Are jobs allowed to refuse LGBT people? Yes. Private business are free to set their own hiring practices.
Are restaurants and other services allowed to refuse service to LGBT people? Yes. Private business are free to deny service to anyone they see fit.
Are LGBT people allowed to adopt? To a limited extent. Same-sex household couples may file for adoption, but they are kept on a "back list" that comes second to married couples, and are generally assigned teenaged adoptees who are soon-to-be adults, who are otherwise passed over in favor of younger children.

Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet? Depends on the constituency. The State has left the 49 constituencies and their local government to decide whether or not gay marriages are legal.
If no, why not? Religious and political affiliations, mostly. East Sitcoms is a heavily-religious and Conservative/National Party stronghold, and most of the constituencies forbid gay marriage and marriage equality.
Are there any regions, states, provinces, etc. in your country that gay marriage is illegal? Of the 49 constituencies, 31 have laws put in place to protect marriage equality and gay marriages. In eighteen, gay marriage is illegal.
What percentage of your population is homosexual? Unclear. The State does not survey sexual orientation in its census.
Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal? In most constituencies where gay marriage is illegal, yes. That's their primary reason.
Are schools allowed to refuse LGBT people? Public schools cannot, whereas private schools can.
Are jobs allowed to refuse LGBT people? In the public sector no, however in the private sector they can.
Are restaurants and other services allowed to refuse service to LGBT people? Depends on the constituency. In most, no.
Are LGBT people allowed to adopt? This is up to each constituency. 29 of the 31 that allow gay marriage do allow, whereas the rest do not.

Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet? Technically marriage is unrecognized by the state and considered a private affair between two people, therefore de facto yes.
If no, why not? N/A.
Are there any regions, states, provinces, etc. in your country that gay marriage is illegal? No.
What percentage of your population is homosexual? Unknown, it is not part of the census.
Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal? The government parties' strong secular, progressive and libertarian stances influence the decision to end recognition of marriage in 1985.

Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet? Gay marriage is legal in all Republics and autonomous regions of the Philippines.
If no, why not?
Are there any regions, states, provinces, etc. in your country that gay marriage is illegal? No. Every state must adhere to legalize gay marriage in all settlements and cities of theirs. This, of course, does not exempt the religious-conservative Bangsamoro Sultanate and heavily Catholic areas like Cebu and Manila.
What percentage of your population is homosexual? About 16.2% of people in the country consoder themselves a member of the LGBT community, with 67% being biological males.
Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal? Yes. The legalization of same-sex marriage resulted by protests of the national LGBT community in the 1980s, along with the strong eforcement of the separation between church and state in 1992. Because of numerous cases of harassment and discrimination to sexual orientation, the government has sympathized with the LGBT people as another legislation to expand civil rights of all citizens and residents of the country.
Are schools allowed to refuse LGBT people? No. Any institution that refuse to accept LGBT students are in potential to face punishment by law, with the school faculty, principal, director, or president taking responsibility for.
Are jobs allowed to refuse LGBT people? No.
Are restaurants and other services allowed to refuse service to LGBT people? No.
Are LGBT people allowed to adopt? Yes. Any adoption centers that refuse to accept LGBT clients will face punishment by closure or heavy fines for up to $10,000,000.

Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet? No.
If no, why not? Scientific studies have clearly demonstrated time & time again that homosexuality is a personal choice with no bearing on genetics. We in South Zimenma adhere to the facts, regardless of whether or not our neighbors choose to do so, & the facts have moved us to allow for homosexuality in general but not for homosexual marriage.
Are there any regions, states, provinces, etc. in your country that gay marriage is illegal? It is illegal throughout the country.
What percentage of your population is homosexual? There are no current statistics available.
Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal? No. We base our decision on science, as well as our stance that a minority has no right to coerce the majority to do its will. This is a socialist republic, & we condemn both sides of extremist responses on the issue--we refuse to ban homosexuality outright & execute them on sight and we refuse to coerce our citizenry to give favors to homosexuals purely because they are homosexuals. Both extremes are in direct opposition to a democratic society.
Are schools allowed to refuse LGBT people? See below.
Are jobs allowed to refuse LGBT people? See below.
Are restaurants and other services allowed to refuse service to LGBT people? See below.
Are LGBT people allowed to adopt? Refusal of service is based on whether or not someone is in compliance with the law. Gay or straight has no bearing on the issue--if you have violated the law, there are some things you just can't do. Case in point--if you've been convicted of rape or molestation, you'll be prohibited from being within one-hundred yards of a school, & you'll serve a minimum of fifteen years in prison. Your LGBT status won't increase or decrease the penalty--whether you're gay or straight, whether your victim is of the opposite sex or not, you'll still go to prison for at least fifteen years and you still can't go within one-hundred yards of a school. And yes, in that case, the school has to refuse service to you, not because you're LGBT or not LGBT, but because you're not in compliance with the law!!
I use some NS stats, but not all of them.

Is gay marriage legal in any parts of your country, or has legislation on it not been passed yet? There is no legislation specifying it as legal or otherwise, so homosexuals can get married. However, they usually don't as the orthodox church have a heavy influence over society and thus homosexuality is not socially accepted.
If no, why not? If a law were to be passed regarding homosexual unions, they would surely be outlawed. And while we may not, as a society, accept homosexuality, we do not wish to make the situation for homosexuals worse. We don't agree with their choices, but we would not make life anymore difficult for them. So we have never allowed laws on marriage to include or mention homosexuality.

Have religious or atheistic beliefs influenced your decision to make gay marriage legal or illegal? Our religious beliefs have led us to ignore homosexual marriage, while allowing it to happen, but passing no laws regarding it.
