It was a war which took place because the tribals believed that the sedentary Sheothi were an affront to the goddess for choosing to 'remove themselves' from nature by building elaborate towns; while outnumbered, the Sheothi were able to drive back the tribals because of their more advanced economy and logistics. Only the naming of the First Divine Queen, Sumi, and the signing of The Compact, was able to bring about peace. The Compact remains an active treaty, considered the foundation of the Holy Queendom, and it is zealously enforced by both the tribals and the Divine Queen to this day.
