The claim and basic information look good but I would prefer you flesh out your factbook more, or at least discuss it over Discord.

I will give some time for other members to comment.

Yeah as Korva said, little more on the factbook, but besides that on the surface, seems pretty alright.

Hello, I would like to apply for the region.

My name is Madison and I have spent much of my spare time on a political simulator here https://www.reddit.com/r/ModelUSGov/ as a state legislator and even congresswoman for a term. Beyond my political rp background I have only little in NS including my old country's rhodeasia overview factbook that I worked on long ago.

I would like to claim a piece of land with many fish near so I have settled for https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ ... nknown.png

My country I would like it to be small and mimic Czech Republic (Czechia) and Slovakia in comparison to population and culture. My factbook is not started yet but I will work on it this weekend! If you need a specific number for the population I would say 10,553,948.

I also enjoy playing wargame red dragon VERY often haha.

Hey guys! Although it may not look it, I have experience with realistic RP. This time around, I'm looking to make a funky large hippie-Latin American country mashup and just be a realistically laid-back country in the world of RnRP. Almost like Uruguay, with a different culture (in WIP) and slightly more influence on the world stage, which it exerts to try to keep calm on the world stage.

Tul Application

Postby Tulteirel » Sat Oct 07, 2017 8:32 pm

Full Nation Name: The State of Tulteirel
Demonym: Tulteirelese
Population: ???(willing to work with density)
Government Type: Theocratic Confederation
RP Sample: This is a sample i have on hand from other forum-based rp region, context: guiding foreign exchange students from airport to uni campus.
Over time more random students arrived, within an hour of flights consistently arriving there were over one-hundred students from a diverse cast of countries. Most were quiet, or shy, some hardly even knowing the local language or english.

Tinhe Ahwakon walked into the airport, with a long stride and clipboard in the hand. She was an overwhelmingly tall woman, a former Hipball player for Chanal University and currently the Director of the Foreign Exchange program. She was spry and hopped up on coffee, excited to greet the new arrivals. Mrs. Ahwakon was followed closely by several student body representatives, one of them was Akatl, a fit young yet tired looking man of average height with long silk black hair, pinned in a bun on the top of his head. Tinhe wore more formal attire for the occasion contrary to Akatl, who wore more foreign clothes like a plain t-shirt and shorts. She had more old-fashioned dress on, a flowing dress and robe, plain white with red and yellow trim.

The lobby where the foreign students has awaited was set up with a small stage, a microphone sat on a nearby table and tens of nameless Chanal University staff had arrived to direct or help the students with their luggage.

Tinhe and Akatl found their way to the lobby where the foreign students were directed to wait. Tinhe was pleased to see a few chatting among eachother, years before she had a group that didn’t get along right off the plane. As the students stopped from the middle of their chatting, and looked at Tinhe as she walked in, she introduced herself with a smile and slightly bow of the head. She grabbed the nearby microphone and stood on the stage in front of the large gathering bunch. “Good morning everyone.” she spoke in pristine english, perhaps from her years at Northfort. “I am Tinhe Ahwakon, Director of our lovely Student Exchange program, and i welcome everyone to Chanal.” she lifted up her clipboard for a quick roll call. “Just doing a roll call real quick to make sure everyone is here, forgive me if don't pronounce your name right.” she fumbled through the name call, despite her travel she could never land foreign names.

Akatl had remained to the side, somewhat disparaged that this boring task ended up being his mandatory civil duty, he had regretted not completing it in high school, I’m just tired, he thought to himself, trying to hide his yawn, though he couldn’t hide his red watery sleepy eyes. He briefly scanned the room, wondering where each person was from.

“Akatl” Tinhe said. He snapped up from his daze, he didn’t realize she had been talking this whole time, orienting the students briefly on Chanal and what they should expect, it seemed he lost time. Akatl sat up straight, trying to present himself as he was told to, “Yes?” he asked. He stood up as motioned by Tinhe.

“This here is Akatl.” Tinhe introduced, “He is studying mechanical engineering.” she then went down the line, introducing other student guides. “Everyone will be split up into groups per guide, when we get the campus you will introduced to a secondary guide, Akatl and the others are more like city guides.” So then Tinhe went through her list, it was perhaps everyone’s first taste of how tedious Ahkabnilians were with most things. Akatl got his very own list, and going down the line called out the names of students he was assigned to.

“Ririshasha, Alice, Katy, Micah, Karlos, Andrea, Nathaniel, John, Syura, Yui, Blair, Evelyn and umm… a Cascadian but there’s no name, just says ‘the only cascadian here’... so yeah.” Akatl called out each of their names one by one, queuing them up in a strict organized manner and leading them to the buses with all the other groups. The ride would be short, as the buses would simply ferry the students over the nearest canalway. Finally, a full picture of the city was coming into view as they left the more international feel of the airport.

The Canal was wide, with several small and large boats drifting by. Finally, a large double decker boat arrived, pulling up near the canal port where all the students were shuffled into. Ahkabnilians were seemingly obsessed with the queue, organizing each group to a particular sections of seats on the empty boat. It rocked steadily in the waters until it took off, with the steady and slow hum of its engines which paddled away in the canal waters, leaving a gentle wake in its path. As the Canal opened up so did the city in the full view and the traffic picked up.

Tinhe mentioned that transportation by water is one of the most used in Chanal over a loudspeaker as the boat bumbled along, she had reserved puke bags just in case. She was smart for doing so as a Tokulelese student nearly threw up all over the floor and a Toshikawan wanted to dip over a ledge to projectile, he appeared shamed after that ordeal.

The boat bus stopped a few more times along the way, near wide stone and metal staircases that touched the canal waters, where many Chanalites waited to be picked up. Many were dressed for work, most in formal attire, and quite a few highschoolers who took precedence at the top deck and quickly jumped off dangerously when the boat passed their school. Most people were polite however, a few asking questions, testing each student’s conversational ability in the local dialect.

The city so far was stunning, there weren’t many highrises which stained the sky and most buildings were venerable in their appearance, made mostly of stone, metal, concrete and other earth. The city mostly appeared old, containing many stories dating thousands of years, with modern accessories and amenities. Each building and structure, was chiseled with colorful sculptures and murals of religious nature, pronounced public artworks stood in many areas. Chanal was lined everywhere with flat and pagoda-like rooftops. At the center of a canal ‘roundabout’ the bus boat reached, was a statue of the ‘Great Sun’ which stood 30 feet tall, it depicted a man with an eagle headdress and steel armor over a skin-tight thylacine skin suit, with a sword at his side. The figure lifted his palm to the sky, where a real fire was fed to keep burning in his hand. Finally, the distant step-ziggurats known as Ahkabnilian pyramid temples, came into view. The iconic structures were the last few of their kind still maintained, a mecca for the followers of Ohkantuy.

The pyramids were the most pronounced and colorful thing about the city, beaming lights shot from their apex straight into the sky, slowly faded by the continuously rising sun. The central pyramid of the three, and the tallest, maintained a wide cauldron of fire at its top.

Cars bustled at the top level of the city, though it didn’t seem as busy as the canals. The city that was organized to be a perfect grid in its first settlement, was now a confusing bustle of roads, canals and streets. Most people biked along the canal as well.

The campus of Chanal University was nearing closer, in fact the Canal crossed into it without anyone really noticing it. The area around the university was the most extreme mix of old and new, the university was ancient yet the new, foreign-influenced styles and young culture has profoundly modified it. But what made it unbelievable was how large the campus was. Tinhe explained to the students that, “Buses or boat.” has to be taken around the campus, Chanal University was effectivity a city within a city, even more vibrant the rest.

As the the boat pulled up to the Canal steps leading to the central square of the university, Akatl attempted to gather his group, which may have been on other parts of boast sight seeing at this point. “Alright, we’re here, i’ll uh- just take you to the rooms.” he motioned for them to follow, taking them through the central and open square of the university, surrounded by several departement buildings. It was rather active, with students everywhere either conversing or rushing to class, some stared, observing the obviously foreign people who has stepped off the boat. Tinhe had run off to other duties, giving a few last words to the student guides as they continued on their way.

“So, welcome to the rooms.” Akatl said, as they finally reached the dorms after a long walk. “These are mostly reserved for us and all the foreign exchange people.” he informed, as he guided everyone inside. The building was large and surrounded a central garden plaza with pond. There were elevators and several floors, however Akatl and the group of students he led were only on the first floor, perhaps the best smelling as well. Each room was large and housed multiple students, they were rather open and clean, there was a central bathroom that Akatl referred to as the ‘station’ for all the students on the building. On each bed was a set of uniforms on for each student, which were light robes and cloaks, “You can wear the cloak, its required.” Akatl said, as he put his on. “The robes are more for formal academy occasions.”

“Breakfast is in a few in the main hall, pretty sure some of you are hungry…” Akatl wasn’t sure if any of them understood him, he hoped they knew the local tongue, as they should. “Anyway, get yourselves settled in. You guys can choose your roomies.” (4 to a room)

The tranquil morning was uninterrupted by the beating thunder of war, many of the farmers in the valley had enjoyed it, though most were curious why the distant patter of guns had halted for the morning. The sound peace didn’t last for long that morning however, instead of clapping artillery, it was the low hum of hundreds of aircraft formation flying in the sky, their prop engines echoing through each surface of the rocky valleys. One would look up to find the overwhelming number of planes dance in the sky, asunder with their eloquent maneuvering. Smoke trailed many of the massive four engine bombers, marked with insignia’s of the Ardian Empire, as they fell with a robust crash into the mountainsides. The fight had moved so low to the ground that many crews didn’t have time to jump from the belly’s of their death crates. Many gathered, scared but fascinated, as the air war seemed so far away.

One of the distinct Ahkabnilian aircraft’s engines sputtered with a choking sound, as smoke twirled from one the fighter’s engines. The Ahkabnilian fighters were something you couldn’t miss, ‘Flying Pepen’s’ the locals called them, and the name stuck for a reason, they were almost flat disc and many wondered how such a thing got off the ground even. But they zipped through the sky almost unopposed, with the disadvantage of being a wide target for the enemy. An unfortunate fate befell this particular plane and pilot, which slowly eased closer to ground in an attempt to dive away from the hair ball that was the dogfight in the sky.

It was Teudili Anan at the controls of this fighter, his plane painted with green camouflage that wore various symbols and logograms discreetly, as every other Ahkabnilian fighter was. They were transferred from the Quywe Imperial Airforce to Ahkabnil’s once independence was declared, it was what they all did willingly, as the imperial era on the Horn was coming to screeching end. It had been the remnants of the Imperial Government that had convinced the crumbling Ardian State to invade, and they did so on the terms of vassalage. Teudili was a mere young man at this time, showing the aptitude of a pilot and being thrusted into the cockpit, onto the perpetual meat grinder that was this war. It had proved swell for him up until this point, as he had several bloody decapitated head glyphs painted on his fuselage, indicating six kills.

He had leveled out his pepen shaped aircraft, his right engined still has some fight left but it was going to give out soon, and a bogey was still hot on him. Teudili was treetop level at this point, as enemy machine fire raddled around the cockpit. His hands shoot at the quivering controls, but pure adrenaline kept him on his toes. He was somewhat panicked, and couldn’t get cohesive word out, “H-help me!” he shouted over the intercom, as he rolled and twisted his aircraft in a desperate fight for survival, we knew to keep it straight though, any turn would expose his full aircraft to the brunt on the Ardian’s cannon. He almost wanted to get higher just to bail, as the impending sense of doom was unbearable, he was young and still wanted to live.

Suddenly, before Teudili could perform another spastic roll, machine fire penetrated his cockpit and bounced off the control panel, hitting him in is legs and lower body. His right engine has given out and the left was smoking, the cockpit suddenly went ablaze in fire. Teudili hysterically tried to open the cockpit, but in his panic from the searing pain of fire, it seemed it was jammed. He kicked around, before freezing as he saw hillside rush toward the cockpit. In booming thud and few bounces the aircraft slid like a puck across an open steppe before coming to an abrupt halt when it slammed into a rock formation. The Ardian zipped past at high speed, nearly touching the downed aircraft.

Teudili finally busted the cockpit open, and pulled himself out with the rest of the energy he had left. He murmured in pain, flopping on the ground and attempting to roll in the damp dirt to put out the small flames left on him. He tried to stand up, but he could hardly feel his legs and he toppled over. Cringing in pain, the young pilot dragged himself between the crevices of the jagged, red rock formation which erected in the dramatic steppes. He unholstered his pistol and held it dearly, as he heard distant yelling grow near. A few unidentifiable troops rose from a small patch of trees nearby, but as they grew closer Teudili’s heart sank, they were Ardians. How he hated the pig language he assumed they spoke, and their pale skin. Southerners who did not belong on the Horn. But as they got closer, he lacked the constitution or will to shoot at them, mostly cowardice.

As a soldier approached, with a small grin across his dirt and blood charred face, he pushed the pistol out of Teudili’s hand with the tip of his rifle. He tried to force Teudili to walk, after confiscating his gun, but realized his legs were weak. He spoke in the unknown, unpleasant sounding tongue to Teudili in an aggressive manner, calling his comrades over to help drag his limp body. They seemed to be deliberating something, as the soldier pressed his boot against Teudili’s back to him him on the ground. “Tum denique. I hoc faciam” one spoke, a silence cut through the air. Suddenly Teudili felt the barrel of a rifle press against the back of skull, and he closed his eyes. “Yaotenmel, I am with you.” he whispered to himself.

“Non faciam.” one of them seemingly sighed. “Non possumus accipere eum in dubium.” one of the voices seemed to order.

Teudili was dragged up on one their backs, for reasons he currently didn’t know and taken along with the tired unit of Ardian soldiers. Cowards, Teudili has thought to himself. If he was able, he would kill himself, a necessary sacrifice that would humble him in this situation. Ahkabnilians fought fierecly, and being a prisoner of war was unacceptable, so was accepting any. If it was an Ardian pilot that Ahkabnilian soldiers found, his head would be put on a pike and paraded around the camp, Teudili was disappointed he wouldn’t die in such a way, to say the least.

Envisioning Khuyagtkhün as a successor state or a former part of a empire. Ruled by a absolute monarch with a council of oligarchs or something.
Mongol and other steppe nomad influences like the Scythians and some notCossacks thrown into the mix. Mainly a Asiatic inspired country and people.

Both applications look good, therefore I am happy to accept Khuyagtkhun and Tulteirel into the region.

Demonym: Gruzian
Population: 37.19 million
Government Type: Direct-Democratic Republic
RP Sample: (I used to play a Nepal country in another region)
Kathmandu -- The Government of The Federal Republic of Democratic Nepalaya has recently announced the closure of the historical Janakpur-Jaynagar line, which has faced extreme economic troubles since the beginning of the 21st century.
The Kathmandu government has been gathering foreign investors before the opening of the long awaited Trans-Nepalaya Railway, which is set to run from the far east of the country to the border with the disputed territories of Jammu and Kashmir.
In order for such an ambitious project to take place, the government has been diverting its attention to attracting funds and materials, which in the process has meant abandonment for many services deemed unnecessary.
The Janakpur-Jaynagar line, crossing the unguarded border with India twice per day, has been closed.
The line had run for 70 years prior to the event, and is still regarded as being in use by the many people travelling and smuggling between India and Nepalaya.
With the closure of the line, the Kathmandu government has permitted the functioning of the line at the hands of the employed Nepal Railway workers, who would need the train to run in order to support their families.
Many unemployed Nepali will be employed in the construction of the new railway, which will benefit both the government and the people by creating jobs, and strengthen the country's infrastructure.
Many Chinese and Indian investors have taken interest in the project, as it will mean a possible future railway connection between the two powers.
The new Trans-Nepalaya Railway will commence construction on the 1st of July, and expected completion is 1 year.
