Church Taxes: Strongly against. In Dtin Buddhism is part of everyday life, and monks and temples are under the Sangha Council, which is a separate branch of government. Many believe it unacceptable to tax these religious authorities.

Charter Schools: Against. These are non-existent in the country.
Common Core: For. The programme which outlines the curriculum followed in Dtin is successfully enforced, and is largely credited in boosting Dtin's development in earlier years.
Tuition-Free Colleges: For. The government is looking into decreasing the amount of tuition students currently pay, which is already 40% subsidised.
Gun Control: Non-existent. Civilians are not allowed to carry guns in Dtin.

How does the majority of citizenry in your nation feel about:

Death Penality: YES. Death Penalty is carried out to those who do the worst of crimes (rape, murder, assault, terrorism, etc.)

Private Prisons: No. All prisons in Pavelania are owned by the government and run by the National Police.

Racial Profiling: No

Church Taxes: No. Christianity is what shaped this country. Our laws and government are all based on Christian values and laws from the Bible. In fact, the only 2 religions allowed in Pavelania are Christianity, the dominant religion, and Judaism. You can choose not to follow Christ, as we don't force you, but you cannot be an atheist, muslim, buddhist, hindu, etc.

Federal Tax: Yes. Federal Tax in Pavelania has been very very low for the past 10 years, but the military is undergoing a modernization, so the federal tax was increased to cover the cost. Once the Modernization is complete, taxes will go down again.

Charter Schools: Yes. Every student and their parent/guardian can choice whatever type of school they want to go to.

Common Core: ABSOLUTELY NO

Tuition-Free Colleges: Free college would be great, but at the sacrifice of HUGE taxes to cover the college cost. A big no no in Pavelania.

Gun Control: Yes, but it doesn't restrict firearms in Pavelania. Our Gun Control system is based on your background, not guns themselves. It has an age requirement and background checks as well. You can shoot in Pavelania above the age of 8, but you need to be 16 to own a firearm. You also have to have a clean record (no criminal past) and cannot have a mental illness, especially if the illness involves suicidal thoughts.

Gun-Free Schools: No. Teachers have the option to conceal carry a small firearm in case of a school intruder. However they have a huge responsibility on their shoulders for having a gun in a class room and must have it on them at all time and keep it away from the students. In Elementary schools, it's advised teachers choose a small caliber or choose a taser.

Gun Violence: Self-Defense, especially a home invasion is EXCLUDED from gun violence. If you commit a real crime involving a gun, your gun rights are stripped for 30 years, and you lose your membership in the Pavelanian Civilian Defense Force for 30 years as well. After 30 years, and you still commit another crime involving a gun, your gun rights and PCDF membership are stripped for life.

Abortion: ABSOLUTELY NO. NOT IN A BILLION YEARS. If you are caught conduction illegal abortions, you could face the death penalty for murdering innocent babies.

Mandatory Vaccination: No. Patients have the freedom if they want to be vaccinated or not.

Physician-Assisted Suicide: ABSOLUTELY NO. Suicide in Pavelania is considered self-murder.

The Right to Health Care: Yes. ALL citizens have the freedom to choose whatever benefits they want to go with their healthcare plan, and it can be adjusted as time goes. Health care benefit prices can also be adjusted according to your income. And if you choose NOT to accept government healthcare, then it's fine. You don't have healthcare, you don't pay. We don't force citizens to pay for healthcare they aren't using.

Family & Medical Leave: Yes

Federal Minimum Wage: Yes. The national minimum wage in Pavelania is currently $8.00.

Labor Unions: Yes

Drinking Age: 21. Alcohol in Pavelania is HEAVILY limited. Beer and Wine, especially wine, are in fact legal but are limited in alcohol content. Alcohol consumption is also discouraged by the government unless it's for health reasons. Also medical alcohol is also legal. We also have heavy fines for those caught drinking and driving, especially those at night.

Medical Marijuana & Recreational Marijuana: Marijauna is STRICTLY for medical purposes in Pavelania. If you are caught smoking marijuana or you possess un-prescribed marijuana, the person will get MAJOR fines. Also the fines increase if you are caught operating a "pot shop". If you have a history of illegally using marijuana, your gun rights are also stripped.

Military Budget: Yes. As of 2017 the budget was increased, along with federal taxes to cover the cost for our military's modernization program. After modernization, the budget will be slightly reduced and taxes will go down.

Women in Combat: Yes. Anyone can serve for ALL branches of the Pavelanian Military.

Climate Change: No. While we still have coal and diesel burning energy plants, we strive for cleaner plants and renewable energy mainly to make our energy more efficient and to keep our skies cleaner. Gas/coal plants will always be releasing hazardous gases in the air such as Carbon Monoxide, which can harm animals, which is another reason we strive for cleaner energy plants.

Death Penality: The death penalty is wrong in the vast majority of cases, and should only be used under the most extreme circumstances (and in a humane way).
Private Prisons: Private prisons are a system that is somewhat effective, however they are regularly kept in check that their goal is to rehabilitate prisoners and not keep them for personal gain.
Racial Profiling:Racial profiling is extremely frowned upon, as the Priycian's think that diversity is a part of life that should not include judgment.
Church Taxes:Churches are taxed, but not heavily, as they are viewed like any non-profit that contributes something worthwhile to society, even though the vast majority of citizens don't follow religion
Federal Tax:A federal tax is necessary to keep government going, so it is employed in our government. Those under a certain income pay a smaller percentage, while those above a certain rate are taxed higher based on their individual income. Those at or under the poverty line are not pushed to pay taxes, and are instead encouraged to seek raises or better jobs.

Death Penalty: We love it. It's a great punishment for the worst of criminals. Because trust me, prison don't work on them. I've heard many people who are against the death penalty say that prison is the best punishment for them. But again, trust me. Some criminals don't care about prison. Stop thinking prison is gonna work on everybody, because it won't. Most executed criminals in my nation are psychopaths. If you think prison will work on them, you truly don't understand mental illness.
Private Prisons: All our prisons are private.
Racial Profiling: We don't allow it.
Church Taxes: We don't allow churches and religion in our country.
Federal Tax: Taxes are a necessary evil.
Charter Schools: All school districts in my country are funded.
Common Core: We don't allow it. Our schools are different than other nations. I'll make a factbook explaining how our schools run.
Tuition-Free Colleges: All colleges are free.
Gun Control: We don't allow it. Gun control goes against our rights and doesn't stop crime. Criminals will still have guns. And before you tell me that "places like Canada and the UK and Australia are safer and they have gun control REEEE!" Those nations still have gun attacks, and higher crime rate in knife murders and whatnot. They also have less population than the US, which doesn't help the lower gun crimes.
Gun-Free Schools: We used to have gun-free zones. However, after many school shootings we put an end to it by putting armed guards in every school. Helped create more jobs and stopped school shootings. The last school shooting in my nation was five years ago.
Gun Violence: We want an end to crime.
Abortion: It is illegal unless the woman's life is in danger and they allow the abortion.
Mandatory Vaccination: Vaccinations are compulsory. There have been many deaths in my country linked to
Physician-Assisted Suicide: Suicide is allowed by doctors, however, there must be solid evidence the patent won't make it.
The Right to Health Care: Healthcare is free in this country.
Family & Medical Leave: Allowed.
Federal Minimum Wage: Minimum Wage isn't allowed, as jobs can suffer from being forced to pay an amount that will hurt them.
Labor Unions: Unlike Minimum Wage, strikes are allowed.
Drinking Age: You must be 24 to be able to drink. If you don't like this law, move somewhere else.
Medical Marijuana & Recreational Marijuana: Legal.
Military Budget: Pretty high, although we don't do it like the US does. They put too much into their budget, when if they cut it dramatically, the military will still be powerful and their economy stronger.
Women in Combat: We don't care what gender or race they are, as long as they are good at their job, is all I care.
Climate Change: We believe it is real, unlike many Americans.
GMOs & Mandatory Labeling: These are compulsory.
Renewable Energy: A great thing. Most energy in my nation is renewable.
Gay Marriage: Allowed and accepted.
Transgenders & Bathrooms: Not allowed. There are only two genders. So two different bathrooms. If they change their gender to the opposite gender, they go to the bathroom their new gender is. However, changing your gender is only allowed if they were born with some sort of disorder that physically NEEDED their gender to change.

Private Prisons: Extremely against the concept and has never been implement in the nation.
Racial Profiling: Extremely against. Merakh is a very ethnically diverse country.
Church Taxes: Religious institutions are not taxed as heavily, but often rely on donations.
Federal Tax: Taxes are viewed positively considering how many services are free and provided by them.
Charter Schools: Hated, illegal.
Common Core: Hated, seen as ineffective. Is not implemented in Merakh.
Tuition-Free Colleges: All colleges are tuition-free.
Gun Control: Goes against the people's freedom to have the ability to rise against the government and hierarchy. Owning a gun is very common.

The majority of citizens are in favour of the death penalty. It is not promoted as a deterrent but as a decisive and permanent punishment for crimes deemed abhorrent to society, such as higher forms of treason, first degree murder, first degree rape, the sexual abuse, exploitation, or molestation of a child, amongst others. Execution therefore is deemed a moral standing to end the threat to society these people present.

Private Prisons:

Private prisons lack support in the Freehold, nor do they exist. The making of profit from holding criminals only promotes crime through financial interest, and it is deemed immoral and improper to profit off of the victimisation of people by these criminals, and to then encourage it.

Racial Profiling:

Racial profiling is favoured. If one ethnic or racial demographic of society is more likely to perform certain acts than others, especially acts of a criminal nature, it can be life-saving for an individual to avoid such people. It is in no way remarkable nor uncommon for this to occur, with certain groups potentially monitored in businesses and the like. General prejudice and personal discrimination is deemed natural and right. Groups of people are not the same. Racially, Ephyra tends to distinguish between 'natives', the Selian people, 'kin', those of high ethnic and racial similarity, 'exotic', peoples who are notably different from the natives, and finally 'beast', groups that resemble humans but are thought of as more akin to apes.
