Racial Profiling: Non-existent -- Dtin did away with racial classification in 1932.

How does the majority of citizenry in your nation feel about:

Death Penality: YES. Death Penalty is carried out to those who do the worst of crimes (rape, murder, assault, terrorism, etc.)

Private Prisons: No. All prisons in Pavelania are owned by the government and run by the National Police.

Racial Profiling: No

Church Taxes: No. Christianity is what shaped this country. Our laws and government are all based on Christian values and laws from the Bible. In fact, the only 2 religions allowed in Pavelania are Christianity, the dominant religion, and Judaism. You can choose not to follow Christ, as we don't force you, but you cannot be an atheist, muslim, buddhist, hindu, etc.

Federal Tax: Yes. Federal Tax in Pavelania has been very very low for the past 10 years, but the military is undergoing a modernization, so the federal tax was increased to cover the cost. Once the Modernization is complete, taxes will go down again.

Charter Schools: Yes. Every student and their parent/guardian can choice whatever type of school they want to go to.

Common Core: ABSOLUTELY NO

Tuition-Free Colleges: Free college would be great, but at the sacrifice of HUGE taxes to cover the college cost. A big no no in Pavelania.

Gun Control: Yes, but it doesn't restrict firearms in Pavelania. Our Gun Control system is based on your background, not guns themselves. It has an age requirement and background checks as well. You can shoot in Pavelania above the age of 8, but you need to be 16 to own a firearm. You also have to have a clean record (no criminal past) and cannot have a mental illness, especially if the illness involves suicidal thoughts.

Gun-Free Schools: No. Teachers have the option to conceal carry a small firearm in case of a school intruder. However they have a huge responsibility on their shoulders for having a gun in a class room and must have it on them at all time and keep it away from the students. In Elementary schools, it's advised teachers choose a small caliber or choose a taser.

Gun Violence: Self-Defense, especially a home invasion is EXCLUDED from gun violence. If you commit a real crime involving a gun, your gun rights are stripped for 30 years, and you lose your membership in the Pavelanian Civilian Defense Force for 30 years as well. After 30 years, and you still commit another crime involving a gun, your gun rights and PCDF membership are stripped for life.

Abortion: ABSOLUTELY NO. NOT IN A BILLION YEARS. If you are caught conduction illegal abortions, you could face the death penalty for murdering innocent babies.

Mandatory Vaccination: No. Patients have the freedom if they want to be vaccinated or not.

Physician-Assisted Suicide: ABSOLUTELY NO. Suicide in Pavelania is considered self-murder.

The Right to Health Care: Yes. ALL citizens have the freedom to choose whatever benefits they want to go with their healthcare plan, and it can be adjusted as time goes. Health care benefit prices can also be adjusted according to your income. And if you choose NOT to accept government healthcare, then it's fine. You don't have healthcare, you don't pay. We don't force citizens to pay for healthcare they aren't using.

Family & Medical Leave: Yes

Federal Minimum Wage: Yes. The national minimum wage in Pavelania is currently $8.00.

Labor Unions: Yes

Drinking Age: 21. Alcohol in Pavelania is HEAVILY limited. Beer and Wine, especially wine, are in fact legal but are limited in alcohol content. Alcohol consumption is also discouraged by the government unless it's for health reasons. Also medical alcohol is also legal. We also have heavy fines for those caught drinking and driving, especially those at night.

Medical Marijuana & Recreational Marijuana: Marijauna is STRICTLY for medical purposes in Pavelania. If you are caught smoking marijuana or you possess un-prescribed marijuana, the person will get MAJOR fines. Also the fines increase if you are caught operating a "pot shop". If you have a history of illegally using marijuana, your gun rights are also stripped.

Military Budget: Yes. As of 2017 the budget was increased, along with federal taxes to cover the cost for our military's modernization program. After modernization, the budget will be slightly reduced and taxes will go down.

Women in Combat: Yes. Anyone can serve for ALL branches of the Pavelanian Military.

Climate Change: No. While we still have coal and diesel burning energy plants, we strive for cleaner plants and renewable energy mainly to make our energy more efficient and to keep our skies cleaner. Gas/coal plants will always be releasing hazardous gases in the air such as Carbon Monoxide, which can harm animals, which is another reason we strive for cleaner energy plants.

GMOs & Mandatory Labeling: Yes. All food labels must label ALL their ingredients and the correct nutritional values. If a producer is caught putting false/deceptive labels, large fines are heading their way.

Renewable Energy: Yes. While we would love to switch to wind turbines and solar panels, some locations around the islands may not always be windy or sunny. In the rainier places, we use energy plants that run on clean coal, propane, natural gas, biomass, biofuel, and biodiesel. However we HEAVILY oppose nuclear energy.

Gay Marriage: ABSOLUTELY NO. NOT IN A BILLION YEARS. LGBT is illegal. If you are caught being LGBT, you are to be deported to a country that allows it.

Transgenders & Bathrooms: ABSOLUTELY NO. NOT IN A BILLION YEARS.

How does the majority of citizenry in your nation feel about:

Death Penality: The death penalty is wrong in the vast majority of cases, and should only be used under the most extreme circumstances (and in a humane way).
Private Prisons: Private prisons are a system that is somewhat effective, however they are regularly kept in check that their goal is to rehabilitate prisoners and not keep them for personal gain.
Racial Profiling:Racial profiling is extremely frowned upon, as the Priycian's think that diversity is a part of life that should not include judgment.
Church Taxes:Churches are taxed, but not heavily, as they are viewed like any non-profit that contributes something worthwhile to society, even though the vast majority of citizens don't follow religion
Federal Tax:A federal tax is necessary to keep government going, so it is employed in our government. Those under a certain income pay a smaller percentage, while those above a certain rate are taxed higher based on their individual income. Those at or under the poverty line are not pushed to pay taxes, and are instead encouraged to seek raises or better jobs.

There are no public opinion polls in Tapirlandia, so I will present the views represented by the government.

How does the majority of citizenry in your nation feel about:

Death Penality: Death penalty exists in Tapirlandia for the worst crimes, and revolutionary and terrorist acts.
Private Prisons: All prisons are state owned.
Racial Profiling: All races have equal rights, but the law enforcement officers and secret services are allowed to conduct profiling on any basis they find necessary at the certain moment.
Church Taxes: Catholic Church doesn't pay taxes. Non-catholic Churches do.
Federal Tax: It is necessary.
Charter Schools: They don't exist.
Common Core: Tapirlandia has its own educational system.
Tuition-Free Colleges: Education in Tapirlandia is free.
Gun Control: Bearing arms is the privilege of the king and of those to whom he grants it (army, police, etc). A private person is not allowed to posses guns.
Gun-Free Schools: There are no guns in schools.
Gun Violence: Tapirlandia doesn't have big problems with it because of its gun control.
Abortion: Abortion is not allowed in any circumstances. The right of life is the basic human right, protected strongly by Tapirlandian laws.
Mandatory Vaccination: It is necessary to protect the society from certain diseases.
Physician-Assisted Suicide: Tapirlandian laws strongly protect life. For that reason, this practice is considered criminal.
The Right to Health Care: All citizens have right to the basic public health care for free.
Family & Medical Leave: Family is the basis of Tapirlandian society. For that reason, maternity is protected and highly respected. For that reason, every mother has a right for a fully paid parental leave and is strongly protected from discrimination by employers. It is the question of human dignity to be able to recover while suffering illness. That's why medical leave is granted and the right to it is protected.
Labor Unions: Not allowed. Workers and employers are joined in corporations according to their profession. These corporations are based on the ancient guild system.
Drinking Age: 18 years.
Medical Marijuana & Recreational Marijuana: Medical marijuana is legal. Recreational marijuana is forbidden.
Women in Combat: Tapirlandia protects dignity and well-being of a woman. For that reason, women are not allowed in the army.
Climate Change: Tapirlandia doesn't recognize climate change. However, the environment protection is important aspect of Tapirlandian development.
GMOs & Mandatory Labeling: GMO is illegal.
Renewable Energy: Tapirlandia supports the use of renewable energy.
Gay Marriage: According to Tapirlandian law, marriage is a lifelong union of one man and one woman. For that reason, "gay marriage" doesn't exist.
Transgenders & Bathrooms: Men and women use separate bathrooms in public buildings.

Uses certain NS stats.

Atlantis is an MT nation that is the third richest country in the world, behind only China and the United States. It is closer to the USA, UK, Italy and Spain (in that order, though Italy and Spain is probably tied) culturally than it is Greece. It is also a naval power.

And no, Atlantis is not underwater: It has a land area around the size of France.

Pros: Classical liberalism, democracy, the West, Brexit, Viktor Orban, free education, strong military
Cons: Authoritarianism, fascism, communism, multiculturalism, Islamism

How does the majority of citizenry in your nation feel about:

Death Penalty: We love it. It's a great punishment for the worst of criminals. Because trust me, prison don't work on them. I've heard many people who are against the death penalty say that prison is the best punishment for them. But again, trust me. Some criminals don't care about prison. Stop thinking prison is gonna work on everybody, because it won't. Most executed criminals in my nation are psychopaths. If you think prison will work on them, you truly don't understand mental illness.
Private Prisons: All our prisons are private.
Racial Profiling: We don't allow it.
Church Taxes: We don't allow churches and religion in our country.
Federal Tax: Taxes are a necessary evil.
Charter Schools: All school districts in my country are funded.
Common Core: We don't allow it. Our schools are different than other nations. I'll make a factbook explaining how our schools run.
Tuition-Free Colleges: All colleges are free.
Gun Control: We don't allow it. Gun control goes against our rights and doesn't stop crime. Criminals will still have guns. And before you tell me that "places like Canada and the UK and Australia are safer and they have gun control REEEE!" Those nations still have gun attacks, and higher crime rate in knife murders and whatnot. They also have less population than the US, which doesn't help the lower gun crimes.
Gun-Free Schools: We used to have gun-free zones. However, after many school shootings we put an end to it by putting armed guards in every school. Helped create more jobs and stopped school shootings. The last school shooting in my nation was five years ago.
Gun Violence: We want an end to crime.
Abortion: It is illegal unless the woman's life is in danger and they allow the abortion.
Mandatory Vaccination: Vaccinations are compulsory. There have been many deaths in my country linked to
Physician-Assisted Suicide: Suicide is allowed by doctors, however, there must be solid evidence the patent won't make it.
The Right to Health Care: Healthcare is free in this country.
Family & Medical Leave: Allowed.
Federal Minimum Wage: Minimum Wage isn't allowed, as jobs can suffer from being forced to pay an amount that will hurt them.
Labor Unions: Unlike Minimum Wage, strikes are allowed.
Drinking Age: You must be 24 to be able to drink. If you don't like this law, move somewhere else.
Medical Marijuana & Recreational Marijuana: Legal.
Military Budget: Pretty high, although we don't do it like the US does. They put too much into their budget, when if they cut it dramatically, the military will still be powerful and their economy stronger.
Women in Combat: We don't care what gender or race they are, as long as they are good at their job, is all I care.
Climate Change: We believe it is real, unlike many Americans.
GMOs & Mandatory Labeling: These are compulsory.
Renewable Energy: A great thing. Most energy in my nation is renewable.
Gay Marriage: Allowed and accepted.
Transgenders & Bathrooms: Not allowed. There are only two genders. So two different bathrooms. If they change their gender to the opposite gender, they go to the bathroom their new gender is. However, changing your gender is only allowed if they were born with some sort of disorder that physically NEEDED their gender to change.
The Year is 3591.

How does the majority of citizenry in your nation feel about:

Death Penalty: Popular choice for serial murders, pedophiles, and rapists.
Private Prisons: Extremely against the concept and has never been implement in the nation.
Racial Profiling: Extremely against. Merakh is a very ethnically diverse country.
Church Taxes: Religious institutions are not taxed as heavily, but often rely on donations.
Federal Tax: Taxes are viewed positively considering how many services are free and provided by them.
Charter Schools: Hated, illegal.
Common Core: Hated, seen as ineffective. Is not implemented in Merakh.
Tuition-Free Colleges: All colleges are tuition-free.
Gun Control: Goes against the people's freedom to have the ability to rise against the government and hierarchy. Owning a gun is very common.
Gun-Free Schools: Guns do not have any place in schools. The only time guns have acceptably been in a school was during the early years of the revolution where students brought guns to protect themselves from soldiers.
Gun Violence: Hated. It is not the most pressing crime issue however.
Abortion: Unfortunate necessity. No one is turned away regardless of their reasoning.
Mandatory Vaccination: Positive. They are mandatory here.
Physician-Assisted Suicide: Culturally accepted, but infrequent.
The Right to Health Care: A basic human right.
Family & Medical Leave: Workers are entitled to this and it is viewed positively.
Federal Minimum Wage: Very positively to protect workers.
Labor Unions: Common and respected
Drinking Age: 18
Medical Marijuana & Recreational Marijuana: Marijuana is legal and used decently frequently.
Military Budget: Many of the population is a part of a loosely trained militia, however most prefer the military budget to be contained and spent on defensive measures.
Women in Combat: Respected equally. Has been legal ever since our independence in 1912 due to the amount of revolutionary women.
Climate Change: A dreadful fear for many. However, it's effects and acceleration have been curbed recently due to environmental efforts worldwide.
GMOs & Mandatory Labeling: GMOs are seen as a scientific wonder. Merakh culture heavily respects agriculture and science, so GMOs are labeled, but never seen as bad.
Renewable Energy: Very positive.
Gay Marriage: Has never been illegal and is celebrated just as much.
Transgender People & Bathrooms: Trans people have been culturally important for centuries here, the bathroom issue is hardly a concern.

How does the majority of citizenry in your nation feel about:

(These are the average views in the CTM. Some Minecraftians may disagree)
Death Penality: A violation of human rights, should be outlawed
Private Prisons: Should be outlawed, criminal justice should not be used to make money
Racial Profiling: Blatantly racist, should be outlawed
Church Taxes: Fair, no institution should be exempt from taxes on the grounds of religion
Federal Tax: Depends on political position (supporters of SLDP and other left-wing parties favour increase, supporters of Libertarian party and other right-wing parties favour decrease)
Charter Schools: Elitist and should be outlawed
Common Core: ?
Tuition-Free Colleges: Supported, education should not have a price
Gun Control: Gun licensing is generally supported
Gun-Free Schools: Supported
Gun Violence: Under control
Abortion: Pro-choice (legal on demand up to 24 weeks, legal in medical emergencies after 24 weeks)
Mandatory Vaccination: Largely obsolete due to medical nanobots
Physician-Assisted Suicide: Generally supported for incurable, painful conditions, but the rise of transhumanism in the mid-21st century rendered euthanasia laws obsolete
The Right to Health Care: Constitutionally guaranteed, massively supported
Family & Medical Leave: Massively supported
Federal Minimum Wage: The CTM has a UBI, UBI is heavily supported
Labor Unions: Supported
Drinking Age: 16
Medical Marijuana & Recreational Marijuana: Legal (anyone who sells marijuana must have a licence)
Military Budget: Left-wing parties want it reduced, right-wing parties want it increased
Women in Combat: legal, but humans have largely been replaced by robots in warfare
Climate Change: Climate change caused massive damage on our Earth during the 21st century before it was stopped by carbon reduction technology. Pretty much no one is stupid enough to deny it.
GMOs & Mandatory Labeling: GMOs are common, but mandatory labelling exists
Renewable Energy: The CTM has had a zero-carbon policy since 2045 and is mostly powered by nuclear fusion by now
Gay Marriage: Legal
Transgenders & Bathrooms: Complete gender reassignment (so you can biologically change from male to female or vice versa) has become commonplace for transgender individuals (the technology even switches between XY and XX chromosomes)

How does the majority of citizenry in your nation feel about:

═───╡❖╞────────═ Position of the Freehold on Proposed Issues ═────────╡❖╞───═

Death Penalty:

The majority of citizens are in favour of the death penalty. It is not promoted as a deterrent but as a decisive and permanent punishment for crimes deemed abhorrent to society, such as higher forms of treason, first degree murder, first degree rape, the sexual abuse, exploitation, or molestation of a child, amongst others. Execution therefore is deemed a moral standing to end the threat to society these people present.

Private Prisons:

Private prisons lack support in the Freehold, nor do they exist. The making of profit from holding criminals only promotes crime through financial interest, and it is deemed immoral and improper to profit off of the victimisation of people by these criminals, and to then encourage it.

Racial Profiling:

Racial profiling is favoured. If one ethnic or racial demographic of society is more likely to perform certain acts than others, especially acts of a criminal nature, it can be life-saving for an individual to avoid such people. It is in no way remarkable nor uncommon for this to occur, with certain groups potentially monitored in businesses and the like. General prejudice and personal discrimination is deemed natural and right. Groups of people are not the same. Racially, Ephyra tends to distinguish between 'natives', the Selian people, 'kin', those of high ethnic and racial similarity, 'exotic', peoples who are notably different from the natives, and finally 'beast', groups that resemble humans but are thought of as more akin to apes.

Church Taxes:

Not applicable. Religious buildings in the Freehold do not collect revenue other than donations.

Federal Tax:

Varies. Whilst lowering of tax is typically supported as a populist mechanic there is a general awareness of their necessity.

Charter Schools:

Do not exist, and are not supported.

Common Core:

The population of the Freehold was unable to answer this question due to complete lack of context.

Tuition-Free Colleges:

Non-existent. Typically deemed impossible and would provide sub-par education.

Gun Control:

Favour of control and regulations, but against prohibition.

Gun-Free Schools:

Schools typically hire security guards. A gun-free school is essentially an advertised shooting range.

Gun Violence:

Very much against, but there exists no correlation between gun ownership and homicide rates, so the presence of gun violence is inevitable.

Abortion:

Abortion is illegal and the population find the idea of killing unborn children morally repugnant.

Mandatory Vaccination:

Generally in favour.

Physician-Assisted Suicide:

Prohibited and opposed.

The Right to Health Care:

Opposed. The Freehold employs a private healthcare system not based on government funding or health insurance companies.

Family & Medical Leave:

Supported.

Federal Minimum Wage:

Supported.

Labor Unions:

Not supported and often dismissed as socialist propaganda groups.

Drinking Age:

Deemed necessary.

Medical Marijuana & Recreational Marijuana:

Prohibited and opposed.

Military Budget:

Supported.

Women in Combat:

Prohibited and very much opposed. Ephyra regards any nation that deploys its women into combat as barbaric and undeserving of existence. In one historical case, a Selian city-state waging war against the emergent Freehold was forced to arm its women after their men were defeated. After this makeshift army was defeated without much issue (and the women that made it up taken into slavery), the entire city was razed.

Climate Change:

Indifferent.

GMOs & Mandatory Labeling:

Indifferent.

Renewable Energy:

Nuclear is preferred.

Gay Marriage:

Abhorred and illegal.

Transgenders & Bathrooms:

Abhorred and bathrooms remain sex segregated.
