Description of Nation's History:

Vinterstrijd is a very cold, cold, cold nation. As its name suggests: Only the months of April to July provide sunshine, the rest of the months are mainly full of snow. My friend, do you know what Vinterstrijd means? It means 'Winter's Fray' (in Vinterprareden [Winter talk], the language of the Vintermänskligt), this name, as we know from the Mann Vajj Vinter - Man Of Winter - an epic of tales from ancient times collected by the famed Gijsteon Vajjmann Bäccaremann - the name Vinterstrijd was named by Vackligg Vinnelokkander, a man who the God of Wrath; Fäodjurvrakk, hated so much that he cursed the land where he lived, Zommerlossa, which would come to be known as Vinterstrijd, to an eternity of winter. Why? You may ask. Well, because, Vinnelokkander, as his surname means in Altmaloud Vinterprareden (Old Vinterprareden), 'Woman-Charmer', back then, the adjective charmer meant, well, womaniser. And, when Fäodjurvrakk found out that Vinnelokkander had sex with his wife, Saphindnia, he tried to kill him. But Vackligg Vinelokkander was a tricky bastard. It was said in the Mann Vajj Vinter that Vinelokkander escaped Fäodjurvrakk's castle by jumping into his bathtub, which was full of the Goddess of Beauty's excrement, which he had stolen to make him beautiful. By jumping into the excrement, Vinelokkander had become the most handsome mortal in the world, which made him even more popular back in Zommerlossa. So, Fäodjurvrakk made it so that Zommerlossa would be consumed by winter forever. This made everything worse for Vinelokkander. Not only did crops not grow, wars were fought, and the population went down due to no women wanting to have sex. There was a myth in Zommerlossa that during Winter, no woman will want to mate.

Because of this, Vinelokkander would spend a year of sorrow. This was when he named his land, Vinterstrijd. When he said this, an idea came to him, he went into the caves, and as the legend goes, climbed the one hundred thousand steps to Bovenzommer, which is where the God of Light, Warmth, Crops, and Wine was. When he got there, He got the God to make it so that from April to July, it would be summer. And so, that is how Vinterstrijd got its name.

Description of Nation's History: The history of Trayvik is marred with war and death. In the 1920s, the economy had suffered severe setbacks after the end of the First Immolation, a large-scale civil war which spanned the area comprising the modern day country of Trayvik and its now annexed neighbors. This was partly because of severe damage to the then-Kingdom of Trayvik and its infrastructure during the First Immolation and partially due to the reparations demanded by Trayvik's smaller neighbors for compensation due to the big damage there. In light of this the Trayvikian Crown began to rapidly print money to make the payments and to repay the country's war debt, but in attempting to make ends meet, the resulting hyperinflation led to inflated prices for consumer goods, economic chaos, and massive food riots. When the Trayvik Crown defaulted on their reparations payments in 1923, troops from the neighboring Librotania occupied Trayvik industrial areas along the border, creating massive civil unrest.

Thus came the birth of the New Trayvik Tomorrow Party (NTP), born in 1924. The NTP was the official successor of the Trayvikian Workers' Party founded in 1890, one of few far-right political parties that remained in the massively left Trayvik parliament, and one of the very few political parties in general. The party's goals included removal of the Monarchy, rejection of the terms of the reparations treaty, radical anti-communism and a racist anti-Librotania agenda. The NTP promised a strong, capitalist government, increased living space for all Trayviks, a massively improved economy and a strong racial purification plan via the deportation of the Libs, the people of Librotania. Blamed for the economic hardships that the country would face after the First Immolation, they sought to see to it that the hominids would be stripped of their basic rights and demoted to the "apes they truly were." The NTP strongly embraced capitalism and was adamant about deporting and destroying the Libs, causing even more widespread panic and unrest throughout the country.

When the stock market in Librotania crashed in October of 1929, the effect in Trayvik was immediate. Millions were thrown out of work and several major banks collapsed immediately. The NTP prepared to take advantage of the emergency to gain support for their party. They went to work. Using suave orators they promised to strengthen the defunct economy and provide jobs to the Trayvikian people while also calling to remove the Libs from the picture. The effect was nearly instantaneous. Millions believed that the NTP was capable of restoring order, quelling civil unrest, and improving Trayvik's international relationship along with its economy. After the election of 1932, the NTP had become the largest party in the parliament, holding 530 seats with 70 percent of the popular vote

The NTP then knew that reviving the economy was vital. Trayvik, as much as it had recovered, was still in a dire economic situation compared to the rest of the world, as millions were still unemployed and the balance of trade deficit was daunting. So in 1934 using deficit spending, public works projects were undertaken, creating 2.7 million new jobs in 1934 alone. Average wages both per hour and per week began to rise, and, soon enough, Trayvik had returned to where it once was before. Towering economically and militarily over all of its neighbors.

The NTP, under the leadership of the Iron Maiden, Linda Maddock, leader of the NTP, then did something shocking. In 1940, they staged a violent, large-scale coup against the Trayvikian Monarchy. The Monarch was still the de jure leader of Trayvik, but had become disturbed by the swift changes that were coming to her country. With the backing of millions, Linda Maddock, in full armor, marched to the palace at Miramar in the midst of a massive crowd, calling for the walls surrounding the palace to be torn down. The armed NTP paramilitaries upon entering swiftly massacred the king's guards as Linda culled the monarch's husband, taking her hostage. In front of a seemingly endless crowd, Linda publicly shamed and tortured the Monarch, proudly stating that her reign of terror was now over, before beheading her with her claymore.

The NTP then seized control of Trayvik, with the newly-proclaimed Grand Marshal Linda Maddock as the absolute ruler of the autocratic country.

Utilizing the prosperity that Trayvik had faced as her vehicle, Maddock began her master plan of eviscerating the Libs entirely from the planet. The Trayvik military was drastically modernized under her leadership, with numerous jet fighters and bombers, tanks, aircraft carriers, and even rumored weapons of mass destruction all in development. Finally, in 1942, Trayvik mobilized, massing hundreds of thousands of soldiers as it invaded Librotania and its other neighbors, taking vast swathes of land and leaving behind death and destruction in its wake. They encircled the Librotanian military in its capital, then dropped a nuclear bomb on the capital city, instantly killing millions and maiming or wounding hundreds of thousands in the blast. With no official government available to ever sign a surrender, Trayvik simply absorbed Librotania itself and took over whatever land that the neighboring countries and exclaves had surrendered. Thus, Trayvik would soon gain the borders it has today, growing to such a power as to threaten the safety of neighboring countries further south.

However, after Linda Maddock died in 1965, her brother, Stockton Maddock, took over. Things seemed to be going well throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s with massive industrial, economic, and defense growth as the Trayvik population skyrocketed. That is, up until the declaration of Stockton's severe stage Lynk's Disease, limiting him to his bed. Now on his deathbed and with only a 16 year old younger brother as his heir, Trayvik is in for a shock in the next couple of years...

-- "Towering economically and militarily over all of its neighbors." This comes across somewhat badly, since it implies a position of automatic dominance and is somewhat power gamey. A country may have impressive stats, but one should also give justifiable reasons for having this kind of position. Secondly, even a powerful nation is normally compensated for in some manner, so as to create balance.

As a side note, 418 million people and a $57,467 GDP per capita means your GDP is not $19 trillion, but $24 trillion

Canonically I had forgotten to mention much about the Trayvik Monarchy but i will say now that during the First Immolation it's strength is cut down severely. I will admit that was an error on my part to omit its history to which I shall correct.

This is appreciated. The reason why I mentioned the dinosaurs is because its the most obvious example of unrealism. Another example would be the use of "numerous jet fighters" in 1942 (while there were jet fighters at this period, even by 1944 they were not that numerous). These kinds of things break established canon, but also power dynamics and tech standards. on the plus side, they can easily be reworked.

I'd like to not that the area you've selected is far from optimal for a population that size, due to a lack of arable land. You've basically picked Greenland in the sense that it's 100% tundra.

This is the most recent image I have of that whole continent to give a visual. I don't think you moving the location of the nation a bit further south to gain at least some arable land to be all too much of an issue.

If she died in 1965, that means she was likely between 60-80
For ease let's say 60
That leads to 1905
Average age for a parent is 28 or so.
1905-28
So that's 1877
2002-1877 = 125
The youngest at best was born when his dad was 125. So, either that's a really shriveled up and extraordinarily healthy father, or some other shit is going down.

Even if we go by the earliest ages for all of them, the father would be 90 when he was born. And even as such they'd only share a father since they're all born far enough apart where menopause would start to affect their mothers.

It's possible the sister died of something other than natural causes. If the middle brother took over at, say, 16, like his younger brother is doing, that means he'd be 49 now, and there'd be 33 years of difference between the two brothers.

But if this is an inherited leadership, and the parents are still alive, obviously, to have kids throughout the sister's and elder brother's reign, why aren't they in power?

Description of Nation's History:
The Kingdom of Idelura was officially founded in the year 1897 BCE. Long ago, the first of the Folklords 'guided lost souls from Beyond the Land,' to what would later become the homeland of Idelura, then known as Emne Abhaill, or the Island of the Apples. Folklords are divine beings that the Ideler still worship in their native druidic faith, and made up the first High Kings of Idelura in mythology. There on Emne Abhaill it was always a beautiful green atmosphere, where the trees grew tall, the flowers were always in bloom and the men and women never grew old. Oral tradition tells that when the first Folklord shared his island with the ancestors of the Ideler people, they unioned with the denizens of the island: the Faërie. They were beautiful people that, as is told, were created by the Folklords to tend to the natural beauty of the island. These unions produced the now modern species of the Ideler people: the Faëfolk, or Fae for short.

As Emne Abhaill became increasingly populated by these proto-Ideler peoples, the divine throne had shifted to the rule of a female Folklord; she is now known as the Sovereignty Goddess, for it was her decision to continue the legacy of their civilization by wedding with one of the proto-Idelers. This man, known as Dáire Dalariann, would soon after be the first of the Faëfolk granted the title 'High King of Idelura' as of 1897 BCE, giving him sovereignty over Idelura and effectively founding the nation as it stands today. The story of High King Dáire began a royal tradition that persists to this day, where a union with the Sovereignty Goddess is critical to justifying a High King's right to rule. Nowadays however, the union is more of a ceremonial practice, as there are no Folklords in modern Idelura and it is considered injustice to the High Queen of Idelura — that is, the real spouse of a High King.

The history of Idelura onwards from the Dáirian Reign carries on through the generations as civilization on Emne Abhaill continued to develop. The name of the island persisted only until the early modern era, where westernization simplified the name to Idelura in tribute to the Ideler people residing there, although Emne Abhaill remains the true name of the island. The High Kingdom has undergone some phases over the past several centuries in particular, having been exposed to the elements of foreign nations during that time. By the late 20th century, the High Kingdom had managed to survive through perseverance, with the people's faith left in the sacred power of the Kingship, kept in check by a circle of electoral Kings who governed the administrative divisions of Idelura known as Fiefs.

General Information

Official Nation's Name: Commonwealth of Liveia
Official Population: 208,490,000
Demonym: Liveian
Description of Nation's History: Liveia was originally settled by the indigenous Bantu people, who created villages and tribes along the coastline and rivers. These people had been in strife and conflict after leaving the heart of Ophir, settling to the east where Liveia would be. However, this period did not last long. The rise of Valefontian Imperialism lead to massive empires stretching from edge to edge of the world. Midland, a growing overseas power, had seen the potential in Liveian land.

Midland had encountered the indigenous people before, however this time they came as conquerors. Midlanders had taken over the coastline of Liveia, either by evicting the land peacefully or with hostilities. Midlander settlements had continued to expand towards the mountains, which violated the agreement the natives and the Midlanders came to. Seeking help, the natives had attempted to reach another colonial power to assist them in a fight for their land back.

The Empire of Tauchmagne had seen this as an oppurtonity to expand their colonial influence into Ophir. Offering their assistance, the War of Midlander Agression had begun. This was a quick victory for the combined forces of Tauchmagne and the natives, however, the Empire had betrayed their allies and taken the ex-Midlander land and the native land aswell. Although the natives attempted to resist, it was no match for the superior organization and technology that the Tauchmagnean forces had.

The reign of the Tauchmagnean's lasted for over hundreds of years, spanning to the end of the 18th century, where Liveians found themselfs at a crossroads. Most Ophir countries had declared indepdendence from their colonial masters, and while Liveia had stayed loyal, it was time for a change. Many founding members of Liveia had gathered in the capital to write an agreement for independence with the Empire of Tauchmagne, which at the time was embroiled in a war that could threaten it's entire colonial empire. In exchange for Liveia's independence, Liveia would continue to assist Tauchmagne in foreign policies. This approach from Liveia lasted until the turn of the 21st century, where instead Liveia had became neutral.

However, this neutrality would not last long. Liveia had been offered to join the Continental System. Seeing the oppurtonities it offered, the Liveans had accepted and became an active member-however small-of the international community. With elections approaching, it will be interesting what route the Liveans will choose in the future.
