We hoped Ted Cruz would become nominee and president but after Trump became nominee we supported Trump and Pence. Trump is not bad and much better than his predecessors, but Cruz would be even better. Or, Pence and Trump could exchange themselves so that Pence would become president.

We supported him as long as he does his job and stick up to his rightful standards.

Many of the people in this nation could never understand on why their neighboring nations are all idiots when they hated Trump simply because they were fooled by Hillary Clinton's propaganda scheme. We all knows that Clinton would f%cked up the nation in just four months and Trump is trying to clean up the Democratic mess.

While most generally don’t have a high opinion of him they are somewhat glad he is in office. His promotion of national sovereignty and nations putting themselves first strikes a chord with the Hinodian populace, and they’re happy to not have another corrupt foreign oligarch ordering them around.

(More or less my opinion as well. He’s not great, but America did dodge a bullet in electing him over Clinton. Between the snake and the orangutan, I’ll choose the orangutan. At least he seems more human.)

Most Burke Islanders believe his tax cuts and “America First” attitude to be good for America, not so much the attitudes regarding Muslim immigration. As far as his personality goes, they appreciate how he doesn’t put on an act, even if his real personality leaves a bit to be desired.

President Timsler is asked and responds: "What he said in general is pleasing to me, however the way he said it sounded like he was talking to a classroom of 3rd graders. His actions as former President is something I applaud him for... On he other hand a lot of the times he seemed like he didn't know much of what he was talking about. My father was 7 years old when Trump was elected and around the year 2019 was when the political turmoil exploded. The second revolution as some called it, started by leftists backfired dramatically. As you know what happened. It led to this nation, which is more Patriotic then 2016 America was. Most today are still questioning whether or not he was a good president, As the 53rd President, I lean on the "yes he was" side for President 45. Next question please."

What Ashkera Thinks of Donald Trump

Postby Ashkera » Thu Nov 23, 2017 9:25 pm

The Cooperative Technocratic State: The leadership of the dominant party, the National Technocracy Union, broke from what had been the post-cold war international consensus in late 2006, as Ashkera's heavy involvement in the Iraq War, at the request of the Bush Administration, had severely damaged it in the polls and risked, as projected to occur by 2012, ending the government coalition's iron grip on the National Delegation and the government, held since 1936. They did this by vowing to split the country of Iraq in two and force the half under their control to undergo "national genesis" under Joint Defense Initiative principles, drawing rebuke and ire from the U.S. Republican Party and the U.S. establishment.

This move was not popular with Obama and the Democrats, who viewed it as a naked Imperialist power-grab, but they agreed to it in 2009 in order to draw down U.S. military presence in the area. The Ashkeran establishment came under additional fire in the American media for coming out largely against the Arab Spring, intervention against Qaddafi, and several other issues for which the Ashkerans later felt vindicated.

Between the two of them, the opinion of the Ashkeran ruling class on the American government declined significantly, shattering several decades of trust and collaboration against the Communists.

While Democratic Party-aligned pundits were predicting a 2% chance of Trump victory, advanced AI-based models (tested on Brexit) in the Ashkeran deep state assigned nearly even odds to the two candidates.

The Ashkeran establishment consider Donald Trump wildly unpredictable and troublingly unreliable. His message of National Populism was considered almost the inevitable result of the failures of the American establishment to resolve decades-long problems. His Nationalism is not considered particularly worrying or inherently immoral, though the termination of a program to provide citizenship to men serving the US Army was considered a betrayal of principles, particularly by the Iron Valour DCO.

They don't particularly trust him, but plan to work with him anyway, and have set up no obstacles to this, and not even issued any sort of formal denunciation for any of his actions. He has been invited to a meeting with senior officials in the capital at Galgatta at the expense of the Fifth Empire, customary for new American Presidents.

Elements of the American news media have claimed that Donald Trump colluded with the Ashkeran deep state in the run-up to the election, following leaks of information that they predicted his election. The Russian collusion claims are far more popular, however.

Trump ended his tour of Asia in Oceania, in Ashkera. Despite his previous denunciations of Ashkeran "manipulations," he described Oversight Councillor One, Ashkera's elusive supreme executive, as "a really swell guy" who "understands what it means to make a country great." This has not convinced the Republican Party to side with the notorious Shadowist country.

The civil government has openly refused to confirm or deny Trump's claim that he met with the "real" Oversight Councillor One.

The Imperial Palace: The members of the Imperial Palace largely understand the need for political theater as a means of legitimizing the rule of the state, and many of them are drawn from show business. They find Trump exhausting.

The Royal Army: Some murmurs of a possible restart of cooperation in joint military development have surfaced, but this is largely believed to be unlikely. Trump has approved the massive Carpenter Bravo joint training exercise off of Southeast Asia for the summer of 2018. The Royal Army leadership also mostly consider Trump unpredictable and unreliable, though they appreciate his nods towards the military and plans to increase military spending.

The People: Ordinary Ashkerans questioned American democracy under George Bush, but they question it even more under President Donald Trump. That such an unpredictable and fiery entertainer has become the leader of what is, arguably, the most powerful nation in the world, is seen as a sign in favor of the Ashkeran status quo by those who support Ashkera's current rulers. This is tempered somewhat by Trump's Nationalism, which is seen as almost normal in Ashkera.

Those in the Opposition, particularly the Liberal Democrats and the Social Democrats, have a reaction of disdain or horror common in many foreign countries.

Ashkeran media treats Trump as a sort of living internet meme or, in more respectable publications, foremost as a kind of entertainer.

In the minds of most Ashkerans, the mental separation of the Ashkeran and American "spheres" (or "projects") continues.

Donald Trump is weak, he isn't doing much, and he could be doing much more if he just grew a pair. We like his immigration policies about building a wall, but his problem is people want in, but in our country, people want out, so walls are fantastic. He should also hire snipers to shoot people trying to cross. BAM!
