Dato Sri Najib Abdul Razak: Met with Trump before, apart from participating in an anti-Israel rally after the US recognised Jerussalem as Israel's capital, Najib was friendly towards Trump.


Tun Mahathir Mohamad: Negative towards Trump and has publicly stated that he endorses Biden as the next president, thinks Trump should resign over his proposed Israel-Palestine peace deal, which the Malaysian leader called “utterly unacceptable” and “grossly unjust", also refuted Trump's claim that Beijing's response to the pandemic was a coverup.


Muhyiddin Yassin: Trump congratulated him after being appointed as Malaysia's 8th Prime Minister and gave him a phone call where they discussed bilateral cooperation and COVID-19.


The people's opinion meanwhile? The Muslim majority sees him in a negative light however he does have his fair share of fans in Malaysia including the infamous Ian Miles Cheong hailing from the state of Perak along with the Christians as they agree to his conservative stance.

The Islamic-Democratic Party and most of the populace on the more conservative side of the political spectrum have a more positive opinion on him and agree with more of his political views, but also dislike him due to his failed handling of COVID-19 and policies on the environment, which they see as callous and unorganized. The Islamic-Democrats also disapprove of much of his personal life, including his opinion on women. They also immensely dislike what they and many others see as his persecution of Muslims in the USA. Several public ministers, including the President and Chancellor, have publicly supported Joe Biden for president.
