It takes 3 months just to apply to be a tourist for a week, alone.

The number gets worse the more people you have.

Customs is insane, you're likely going to be turned around, most of your stuff needs to be brand new and still packaged to assure no bacteria jumps the border

Although the people and cultures are amazing, someone is going to be at your door daily harassing you to make sure you leave on time and don't try to hide.

27% of cities are more surveyed than 80% of the world's cities combined

82% of cities (>80,000 people) have extremely restricting weapon and substance laws, and varying other laws depending on where you are.

Half the country is crazy capitalist and the other is anarchal communist
Slightly exaggerated

Since we are an ocean nation, you are going to get sunburnt and we will not cover medical bills if you overstay your welcome.
(If you're going to get sick or hurt, do it at the beginning of your trip because we will put you on a plane with a terminal illness)

The tourism and basic laws itinerary is larger than the entire Harry Potter series combined.

People are apathetic but violent, so don't challenge anyone

Police will shoot first before asking questions, they're very kind until you pull something out of your pocket.

People basically have PTSD when it comes to tourists, they are terrified of what one can do
**No disrespect intended towards individuals who are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress**

And we have more national pride than the United States and United Kingdom combined

Despite clear reforms to eliminate "Chinese racism" nationwide by Punong Flores, the citizens in this country view Chinese tourists with suspicion, some kicking Chinese tourists our under the stereotype that they are "uncouth".

We're a bit more lenient towards Westerners, but usually, if you're a tourist and you somehow get the audacity to pee on the side of the street, we'll fine the crap outta you, the same way we fine our locals. Don't even try-- there will be plainclothes police everywhere.

If you're of a higher caste (particularly if you are white) then Andower is a fantastic place to visit or even to stay - we have many incentives for those wishing to settle here permanently.

Let's get started:
  • The police department has wiretapped all phones in the city (Cell phones are included), and text messages are also picked by the police and reviewed by a supercomputer in order to predict if you will commit a crime.
  • If you go over the speed limit, you'll have a bad time dealing with a grouchy police officer driving a supercar.
  • After the sun goes down, expect to see speed freaks in concept cars, exotics, tuners, muscle cars, ricers and sleepers chased by police cars at speeds of 120+ MP/H going through intersections, sidewalks and road crossings, so you better rent a car.

Talitoa is a nice country to visit with nice people and liberal government (Some don't like that).

But don't go to the city of Bervert, its the rudest and most crime ridden place in Talitoa. Basically few people there will treat you right and the crime is there in the 1 block bad part of town. There is a gang in that spot that just keeps coming back and never seems to leave. It runs the black market and is the only black market.

Postby 13 Necropolis 13 » Mon Jul 30, 2018 11:10 pm

Nine reasons why visiting Necropolis is a terrible, terrible idea.

1. We have very strict laws regarding who can enter. Unless you are a diplomat, we won't legally allow you to enter.
1a. If you do somehow sneak in, everyone, down to civilians, have been instructed to "kill on sight" unauthorized non-citizens. Down to being instructed how to properly double-tap.

2. Most environments we have are not suitable for mortal life, as mortal life is illegal. Authorized diplomats are usually sent to special areas or given specialized gear to help them survive in our environments.
2a. Corollary to this: our spaceships lack breathable air, our planets are highly irradiated or are otherwise made so that they cannot support life, and we do not carry water or edible foodstuffs.

3. If you are here legally, you will constantly have to show government officials and military personnel your Identification Pass. Constantly.
3a. If you fake an Identification Pass, it will be found out. And you will be shot until dead, and then shot some more just to be sure.

4. When you are here, you'll be subject to our outright melancholic architecture and arts, which are designed to be both imposing and existentially depressing.

5. You won't be allowed to use any of our computers while you are here. We purposefully use a proprietary operating system that is made to be completely incompatible with any other computer programs. (To give an idea, NecroOS doesn't even use hexadecimal; it uses a base-48 number system. It is intentionally convoluted and intentionally non-user friendly.) This was specifically to prevent cyberterrorism. No outsider is allowed to learn how NecroOS works, under penalty of death.

6. Without access to one of our computers and surrounded by artwork glorifying the inevitability of death, you may find yourself wanting to experience other forms of entertainment. If your choice of entertainment is television, be prepared to find a small number of channels. While some places in Necropolis have many channels, that coverage is not guaranteed throughout the federation. The only television channels guaranteed throughout the federation are state-controlled news, military broadcasting, and local weather if you happen to be planetside.
6a. And you better like subtitles. None of the broadcasting is in any particular "official language".

7. Maybe you want to get away from all the doom and gloom of our arts and television, and want to see natural beauty? If you are on a spaceship, that isn't happening. Windows are a safety hazard in space. Well, what if you are on a planet instead? Still not happening; most tend to be very desolate and barren. The only ones that aren't are actively being destroyed and would be too dangerous to send a foreign diplomat to.

8. While you are here, you have to take into account that we do not have freedom of speech. So... be careful what you say.

9. If you happen to break one of our laws, you will learn what our legal system is like. We... don't have prisons. They are expensive and it is considered a waste of money to keep alive such undesirables, not to mention a waste of space, which is at a premium when onboard spaceships. Our legal system is not jury-based, but instead AI based, functioning on as cold as possible of hard logic, and if found guilty, most criminals are either used for experiments, or outright killed immediately, depending on whether or not local scientists or military want you. A death penalty in Necropolis is also a bit more meaningful considering that we are all dead already- it does not end with simply destroying the body, but involves destroying the soul as well. If you get the death penalty in Necropolis, there is no afterlife for you!

Firstly the policy of No Immigration (under Policies) pretty much means the chances already are low regarding foreigners seeing our nation.

However if we are going to keep this in mind but also include more info from other fact-books some crimes carry the death penalty or a punished using means of corporal punishment.

If you don't like ancient and historical buildings.

Our "modern" buildings/structures are still largely based and inspired by ancient/historical designs this may not be your style.

If you prefer a more modern/futuristic nation - not that we are not modern ourselves just not as much as other places.

if you don't like the tropics and the rain-forest or the amazon (Applies to South American territories and provinces).

If you are not a believer in our gods (traditional pagan roman gods) then you might have a tough time finding place to pray more specific to your faith.

Our drivers are known for having unique interpretations of the road rules.

Lastly we are not as progressive as some in and beyond our nation would like.

If some of the things above don't agree with you then maybe you should reconsider your travel plans.

1. Rudeness - MSR is one of the rudest nations in the world and gained the fame of the most unsymphatetic nation. Expect many foreigners and tourists leaving a 1 star rank on hotels and establishments because of staff rudeness. The government has done anything to re-educate and brainwash people with good atitudes yet none happened.

2. High Prices - MSR is currently suffering a high inflation rate since the war started, the main reason is the scarcity of resources since many nations that MSR used to trade of goods were already stopped because of the situation in the country. Here are some examples of how high prices were: 1 kilo of rice for 254 AVRBL (5.00 USD), 1 Big Mac for 459 AVRBL (9.00USD) a loaf of bread for 408 AVRBL (8.00 USD) and worse, Gasoline for 612 AVRBL or 12.00 USD per litre.

3. Riots - Riots in the country is a normal situation, mostly fought between Pro-Government and Pro-Opposition supporters, riot police hasn't done good enough to keep the two sides from rioting since.

4. War, War, War - Wars is again a normal situation in the country since it is currently waging war agains the Robes Adrianne group and the Opposition forces, everywhere in the country even the cities aren't safe in this nations. They randomly attack, ambush tourist vehicles and bomb airports and bus terminals throughout the country.

OTHER FACTORS:
5. Slow Internet Connections
6. Old Aircraft fleet (avg. aircraft age in MSR is 20> years)
7. Traffic Jams
8. Poor Public Transport system
9. Frequent Road Accidents
10. Low number of security forces and police.

  • Climate
It's really cold, in the winter. Being a country located in the northern europe, bordering with the Arctic Ocean made Amrasia a bad place to visit in the winter, especially if you're from a tropical nation. In the winter it's usually around -10 °C in the downtown Valentia, and even lower in the northern regions such as in Haamelinna, it may drop below -30 °C. If you're going in winter or coming back home in the winter, you may get delayed for hours (or maybe days) as heavy snow and blizzard is common here. However, it's a good place to visit in the summer.
  • Geography
We are not a tropical nation. So don't expect to find a tropical beach here. However it's a good place to visit if you want to see whales, narwhals etc.
Almost 70% of the nation's landscapes are covered with forests as Amrasia is sparsely populated. Each cities between regions are really far away and often divided by untouched forests (like, highway with forests on both side of the road).
  • Individualism and Rudeness
Much of Amrasian people are individualists. You might feel lonely and weird as there'll be no one will try to talk and smile to you at your first step in Amrasia, you may see them as rude. However, they're quite friendly if you're eager to start a conversation with them.
  • Religion
If you're not a religious person, then Amrasia might be a bad place for you as they're highly religious and.. a bit conservative. Talking about religion is sensitive, also, asking one's religion is considered rude as religion is considered as a privacy. However, if you're a religious person, whatever your religion is, Amrasia is the best place for you. There are lots, lots of churches, mosques, temples, even synagogues, spread across Amrasia. And they're usually located in a dedicated building block.
  • Technology
You might change your operator for a while or borrow a portable wi-fi. A different network frequency is used here.
  • Security
You might feel insecure, as there are multiple surveillance cameras installed in lamp poles, traffic lights or even billboards. Also, you might get checked mentally on your arrival, as there was a school shooting by a psychopath.
