Well I don't know how blue and green help in a desert, and I don't know how yellow and blue help in a jungle or forest. Just being three distinct colours seems to me like it wouldn't fit in any environment, which is why I asked.

perhaps it's for those places which aren't strictly desert, jungle or forest

How does grey and green help with deserts?

Leaving aside Bovington's incompetence, it's not a particularly impressive camouflage scheme. Flat sand seems superior if only for matching hue of surrounding terrain.

Highly advanced advanced tank forces like the Austrasian Panzerwaffe paint all vehicles uniform dark grey then covers them with appropriately coloured multispectral camouflage net kits.
The leafposter formerly known as The Kievan People

The weak crumble, are slaughtered and are erased from history while the strong survive. The strong are respected and in the end, peace is made with the strong.

Pink is the most effective desert camouflage.

This is supposedly a very simple schematic of Object 490a's guts. Half the turret basket was taken up by the autoloader, but does anyone know how its semicircular loader worked?

Haven't been able to find a diagram of that particular version's loader but it seems plausible that it is similar to this related project's loader, but offset to one side.
On that same forum page is a gif of a quarter-circle shaped mechanism that might be possible to expand into a semi-circle.

Some other possibilities are a sort of vertical belt system along the lines of this:
Image

Or if you want to get really weird, a derivative of the old T-64 carousel system that doesn't form a complete circle, sacrificing the ability to select different rounds in favor functioning more like a curved magazine on an assault rifle.
Nevermind that's stupid.
