More than that, because the barrel isn't made of tin foil.
The metal itself is quite thick and adds at least an inch on all sides, so that's at least two additional pixels if you're using an inch scale. Probably at least three to account for the barrel shroud.

I can't tell because I don't know what sort of gun depression you want, where the trunnions are, or how long the breech etc. is.
But at this point, it's probably not necessary unless you want extreme gun depression or have a very long breech.

There is no random physical limit at which suddenly a revolver mechanism stops working.
But there is no reason for a tank gun to use it, it's an extreme waste of space and mass and obturation is generally more complicated in larger guns with greater power.Chinevion wrote:My unlearned 15 year old ass coming out, what are trunnions
The mounting points for the gun, where it pivots when elevated or depressed.

Thanks for the help.
What kind of penetration would I expect from a 158mm tandem warhead atgm.

At most probably only marginally better than that available from existing 150-152mm class ATGMs like Kornet and Khrizantema. 6-8mm additional diametre isn't really gonna lead to big jumps in pen power

True, but tandem warhead (think of a guided rpg 29 but guided) Pretty good at extreme ranges.

Kornet and Krizantema are already tandem-warhead weapons. The first precursor charge isn't often meant to be as penetrating as the main warhead, as its designed to be a cheap trigger of enemy ERA first.
Also, HEAT warheads (whether guided/un-guided, rocket and/or gun-fired) have the same penetration power regardless of firing range.
