There is a slight problem involving the horizon and the relative elevation of the viewer where if the viewer is significantly higher or lower they may see a weird floating rectangle of grass or a chunk of sky on the ground. Not to mention the possibility of seeing themselves if they get too close.
Sure, it's not perfect, it's gonna get dirty, get scratches, and you're not really invisible but it's a hell of a lot more practical than bolting a giant flatscreen television to the side of your vehicles.
