Internal SGP polls show continued slide for Capriles

Postby Avinaa » Wed Feb 06, 2019 3:47 pm

The National Post: An internal Socialist Party poll of hypothetical general election match ups shows that President Capriles would lose a head-to-head race against every other opposition candidate except the CSU's Adam Harris who he beat 73-27 in 2016's second round. The poll, leaked to the National Public Broadcaster and shared with the National Post, shows Capriles losing against all of the front-runners for the Conservative, New Democrat, and Progressive parties respectively. Capriles loses 55-45 against Conservative Ariel Sigmound, 57-43 against the NDP's Laura Nyborg, and 54-46 against Ben York of the Progressives. Capriles only beat the CSU's Adam Harris 51-49, well within the poll's 3% margin of error and far lower than his second round victory less than three years ago. The poll also showed the President's public approval rating down to 33%, the lowest for a first-term president since the return of democracy in 1963.

All of this has lead senior Green Party officials, who have been in an electoral pact with the Socialists since the 1990's, to privately begin to question the viability of the pact moving forward. A senior Green Party leader told the Post that the GP is worried that they may face massive electoral defeats in several states if they continue to be associated with the unpopular president opening up the possibility the party may nominate their own candidate at their June Convention or endorse another major-party candidate. The Greens, who are in government in six of the ten states they are active in, are keen not to upset their base as the Progressives continue to erode their support according to our source. The President's Office has not responded to the Post's repeated attempt for a statement.

UniversalCommons Tests Near Space Weaponry Platforms

In a series of defensive exercises the UniversalCommons has tested a variety of new platforms.

This includes the overwatch automated airship an airship capable of carrying four different weaponry platforms, antisatellite missiles, antiballistic missiles, small railguns, and tactical high energy lasers.

The Overwatch airship system also carries radar and other detection technologies which can be linked together forming a network. It also can function as a stratalite providing high altitude internet access and voice access.

In addition a successful demonstration of a hypervelocity rocket was used to destroy an old high altitude sky station platform.

Further tests are planned including using a drone fighter to fire antisatellite missiles as well as tests on high density nanobattery electromagnetic pulse weapon.

The space force is securing the safety of the UniversalCommons.

OOC: I am imagining the Sky Station would be a more advanced version of the Dark Sky Station by JP Aerospace. http://www.jpaerospace.com/dssoverview.html The hypervelocity missile is a variant of Project Pluto except for it uses fusion ramjet technology.

Celebrations in Oragrad

Kung Hei Fat Choi: Chinese New Year Highlights
Neo-Manila Post
6 February 2019 8:06 NMST+ | Neo-Manila, Pan-Asiatic States

In a rather jovial contrast to recent political strife, each of the local celebrations of the annual Chinese New Year were relatively boastful and colorful; uninterrupted and festive.

In Oragrad, mass dances were organized alongside the traditional costume shows. The city's local Igarashi couples were invited to the mass dances to perform a directive for which they had trained for one week before. Large streets and business sections of the massive city were shut-down to accommodate the bustling bazaars and widespread produce scattered upon every alleyway. The day both began and ended with a city-wide singing of the National Anthem, Guojia.

Closed venues were also created for key officials, some broadcasted nationwide. Burmese Media Outlet ZTV Entertainment covered the Spring Festival Gala held in Beijing, where artists Sokrates and Jackie Chan performed for the Sixth Administration and several foreign ministers for the premium-RSVP event.

Rain and snowy weather hit many regions in China during the weekend, which became problematic for public railway operators. Delays across Japan and Southern China had ranked highest in incident-count.

Hundreds of millions of Asians go back to their hometowns to celebrate the Chinese New Year, creating an annual travel rush around the festival that often puts the transport system to the test. However, this year, it also put the Nationalization of Student Transportation Incentives Act to the test. While tax deficit is far from likely, bureaucrats have reported the hardships involved with the mass-transaction records they were required to maintain this time around. Many expect this "christening by fire" to have only just begun, with many officials on their guard if any local station decides to clandestine an evasion scandal.

This year's Spring Festival travel rush started from Jan. 21 and, according to the Ministry of Transportation and Communication, will last until March 1, with railway trips expected to hit 813 million in total, up 8.3 percent.

MAWLAMYINE: Mobilization After New Reports of Neo-Kuomintang Movement
The Voice of Nusantara
9 February 2019 13:19 NMST+ | Mawlamyine, Pan-Asiatic States

The Burmese territory of Mawlamyine made top-story in many news outlets yesterday after local district-soviets made public releases detailing Neo-Kuomintang activity in the region for the past month. The fringe insurgent group, whose ceasefire agreements have long been overdue and whose leader remains out of the public image has made significant transfers of equipment and have moved several of their companies out of the suppressed 'dangerous' areas. While many suspect this is in preparation for an attack, their numbers in the Burmese region remain low by Ministry of Defense estimates. The faction remains deadlocked within its provincial hideouts, with all chances of supply and communication to the outside world blockaded.

District-Soviet Arkar Thant Kaung reported the assauge of several warehouses containing clonal triphosphate ingredients, along with those warehouses, their facilitators, whose casualties number at around the dozens. These locations had been kept secret and were supposed to only be accessed with the discretion of the MSPS. Revelation of the sites and authority over the attack by the Neo-Kuomintang Revolutionary Army went viral a day after the district's public release; categorizing it as part of their mission to grind a halt to the Igarashi System through active guerilla warfare.

This morning, the Secretary-General made a statement on the issue, reassuring the public that the attacks were "[not] to go unpunished". At 1000 Hours today, the 14th "Alakdan" T-10 Armata Armor Company arrived from Neo-Manila, and conducted a pommeling barrage which allegedly burned many of the suspected hideouts to the ground. Reporters were met with evasion when the Secretary-General was asked for proof. It is a known fact, however, that Daimyō-Heneral Heinrich Dương of the Armor Defense Corps has taken supreme command over local divisions, and rumors have circulated that another, more decisive attack by specialized infantry and armor may be imminent.

While many citizens have suggested that the rounds fired were largely ineffective and were "wasted on the soil" , as one netizen referred to it, the Sixth Administration gurantees that the attack has at least proven the insurgent forces that the PASAF was not to relent to savage attacks on innocent facilities.

Space Studies Institute Builds Giant Space Telescope

The Space Studies Institute has built a huge space telescope orbiting the moon. This space telescope is robotically constructed. The dish is 50 meters wide. It should allow us to expand our search for extra terrestrial program as well as our exoplanet survey.

The space telescope will send a constant stream of images from deep space. These images will be publicly available to astronomers of all nations. We wish to generate understanding between nations as well as scientific study.

It will include radio detectors, gravity detectors, and other special instrumentation as well. This instrumentation will be used in the study of theoretical physics, especially the study of gravity and cosmology.

Kalpana One Habitat Builds Hanging Tube Structure Which Suspends Into Near Space

The Space Studies Institute has hung an elevator tube from a space station into near space. The tube travels around the earth hanging from the commercial space station. Payloads can be brought up and down from high altitude airships and other transports which dock with the tube. To maintain altitude, additional solar power satellites have had to be introduced as well as ion engines to keep the habitat boosted.

Space Navy and Ocean Navy Build Long Range Attack Drones

Recent research into drones has allowed the construction of drones for deep water and deep space by Space Navy and the Ocean Navy. There are considerable similarities in the structure of these drones. Both use space built quantum computer chips, are powered by helium 3 deuterium reactors and have stealth coatings and are designed to evade detection.

We are seeking greater protection for our space and coastal assets. This is a step forward for the miitary of the UniversalCommons.

Pan-Asiatic infantrymen in Cagayan de Oro

Leskya Begins Joint Military Training With PASAF
Neo-Manila Post
24 February 2019 7:09 NMST+ | Neo-Manila, Pan-Asiatic States

Last February 9, 2019 at 4:48 p.m, Neo-Manila Standard Time (NMST+); the Sixth Administration announced that The People's Socialist Union of Leskya had contacted the Federation to introduce plans for further diplomatic advancement, namely, an embassy and trade engagement.

Today, the Secretary-General's office announced that the construction of 2 (two) new military bases were also underway, and were to be completed this afternoon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to be conducted by the Secretary-General himself, along with other invited Leskyan officials, and the staff of the Ministry of Defense.

The agreement brokered was to set-up 2 (two) military bases, Camp Tang Jingsong and Camp Apolinar Velez. Respectively; one para-marine one in Oragrad, and another Jungle-oriented one in Cagayan de Oro. These are to be exclusive training facilities for further Asiatic-International military development, and the state-of-the-art infrastructure initiative is said to be vast and complex, equipped with the world's most modern tactical utilities.

With the Pan-Asiatic States having only recovered from the last war against the Israeli State, and Head of State Yoon-Sook continuing her alleged 'tiger-like campaign' of 'bullying' other countries into meeting the various economic and political demands of the Federation; surmounted by the recent incident in Jaragupta, which continues to produce massive upheaval and calls-to-arms, have we truly seen the extent of Pan-Asiatic ambition in the 21st Century?

International Socialist Congress Now In Session
Yinchuan Rose
25 February 2019 20:04 NMST+ | Yinchuan, Pan-Asiatic States

BRATISLAVA—Delegates from all across the world's workers' states have congregated after months of planning. It is yet to be seen what advocacies this alliance may put into motion, but Pan-Asiatic delegate Jiang Xuegang, acting Party Secretary of this new UN-like Marxist bloc, holds much ambition and praise for the coming days. In a communique with the central government, the senile representative stated that he was "[confident] in the desires of the quasilegislative body to pursue and further the cause of international revolution."

While many Anti-Trotskyist critics, Jucheists, as well as Neo-Sakdalistas, have voiced dissent to the Pan-Asiatic States alleging high authority over another multinational alliance apart from the already strong Communist Internationale and the Soviet-Asiatic Alliance; many are hopeful that this constituency in this partnership with many other devoted followers of progressive ideals will benefit the Pan-Asiatic economy, geopolitical influence, and prestige on the world stage.

(Excerpts from The Cardwith Islands, whose national body has constituted the current de facto chairman of the Congress, lay the foundation for the league as follows)

The International Socialist Congress was formed a few years ago in order to organize active socialist parties into one unified assembly with the collective power to push back reactionary, fascist and imperialist efforts across the World (Multiverse). It was also decided that this would be the ruling body of the ISVC, the multi-national military/interventionist force organized to throw Imperialist forces out of the Cardwith islands and, later, to aid Marxist revolutions and bolster leftist governments under siege, everywhere possible...

The ISC continues to expand and the representatives of the delegate parties of the world now hold session regularly to discuss the threat of reactionaries and imperialism, as well as what socialist nations and parties are most in need of humanitarian and military assistance or other intervention. Many other topics, both mundane and internationally challenging, are regulated by resolution within the Congressional chambers, as well as the smaller Central Committee chambers.

It has been reported from reliable government sources that the Congress has now engaged in 'significant' diplomatic talks. While we remain unsure of the nature of these talks at the status quo, many have suggested that the talks may be correlated to the recent crisis in Jaragupta, as several constituents of the ISC, including the Pan-Asiatic States, have already issued sanctions, cease-and-desist orders, or have given informal remarks expressing distaste for the regime during the last few months.

Whilst cynics remain up-in-arms about the Sixth Administration's sudden leaning towards interventionism, mostly on-par with the Head of State's continued call to action, escalation with the young island-nation may seem closer to occuring than some would take it to be.

Candidates Race to the Finish

Postby Avinaa » Thu Feb 28, 2019 1:59 pm

The National: On the last day before Primary Election Day candidates running for thier party's respective nominations are making thier last pitches to voters. Every party, exept the Christian Social Union, are facing competitive primaries with the Conservative and Progressive parties likely facing a runoff on April 2nd. President Capriles is facing a strong challenge from his left for the Socialist Party's nomination with polls showing a neck-in-neck race for the nomination. For the New Democrats, former part leader and prime minister (2005-10) Laura Nyborg will likely win her party's nomination tomorrow although MP Mathew McDaniel's polling numbers have risen and might force Nyborg to the April runoff.

Whoever emerges from the primaries will face-off in November 2019 and if nesessary March 2020 if no candidate wins in the first round. Polls open Friday March 1st aat 5 a.m. and will close at 7p.m.

Luxcentra's Largest Company has Assets Seized: Outed as Pyramid Scheme.

Image

It was responsible for the employment of over 12 Million people, it had over $2 Trillion in yearly earnings. It sold products from over 7,000 companies, with locations even specializing in different industries. Alas, those 12 Million woke up today and found nothing but locked offices and police surrounding the locations. Luxcentra Central Marketing has officially been found guilty of a scam known as a pyramid scheme, which is an unsustainable business model where money flows from employees to their bosses, also known as "uplines". Their assets have been frozen, as the government tries to return all of the money lost by the "employees." The ripple effect it has had on the economy is already being felt, and the GDP is expected to shrink by 3%. Tax revenues and shop revenues are expected to shrink considerably in the hardest hit districts. The good news is that storefront prices are expected to reach an all-time low, with some going for pennies on the dollar. Now is the time to get your hands on a property!

Rinpek Socialists Up-in-Arms
Neo-Manila Post
1 March 2019 13:51 NMST+ | Parliament Square, Rinpek

The Republic of Rinpek—a small country founded January 1, 1950 in the uninhabited and unclaimed Rinpek Valley. The Republic gained the attention of the Pan-Asiatic States earlier this week during a massive uprising of its working-class.

Dismayed by the inability of the Democratic Centrist Party to meet the demands of an underemployed citizenship undergoing an economic crisis, a popular revolt threatened the presidency of their Prime Minister, Harold Musk, when crowds of Socialists demanded Leftist representation within the Republic's halls of government. This rally was timed to appropriate support for Peter Movek's Socialist Party for the upcoming local elections.

While DCP officials cited relevant factoids reassuring the public that their party will continue to fight for control over the nation, several third-party nations, including the Asian Communist Party of the Pan-Asiatic States have denounced and supported some of the more important political figures of Rinpek.

The Pan-Asiatic States remains resolute in its support for the Socialists. Whilst rumors of a snap election remain rampant, the Secretary-General of the Federation has cited confidence in the solidarity of Rinpek's masses to avoid such a democratic tragedy, and put forth fair-earned votes in favor of a Socialist future.

China Initiates New Eurasian Freight Train Route
Bagumbayan
March 3rd, 2019

ZHENGZHOU—China adds a new route to its Asia-Europe freight train service, as a freight train made its maiden trip from Zhengzhou for Liege in Belgium on Sunday. The service exclusive for cross-border e-commerce is the first of its kind departing from the capital of central China's Henan Province.

According to Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Co. Ltd., it is the first freight line in the country to operate under customs surveillance code "9610" for cross-border e-commerce.

The "9610" surveillance code, added by General Administration of Customs in February 2014, allows e-commerce retailers to deliver goods separately and declare all imported and exported goods collectively.

The new service is expected to help solve problems related to delays in cargo traffic and logistics tracking, according to the route operator. Asia-Europe freight trains made 6,363 trips in 2018, surging 73 percent from 2017, connecting 59 cities in China with 49 cities in 15 European countries.

New Federal Legislation Declares New Clark City As Exclusive Economic Zone
The Voice of Nusantara
March 2nd, 2019

NEO-MANILA—The State Development and Planning Commission announced this afternoon that the newly developed 'New Clark City' is to officially be a registered Exclusive Economic Zone for foreign investment and multinational corporations.

Residents of the newly-constructed settlement will remember that the city had only been named an urban development earlier last year, as part of State-President Robredo's initiative to expand and decentralize the heavily cluttered regions in and around Metropolitan Neo-Manila.

As an emerging market, a deliberation with the plenary, local district assembly referred to the State Congress of Soviets a little more than two months ago that the development be opened-up for international investment to bridge thinly-stretched budget gaps vital for the strengthening of other Federal programs.

While tariffication has been reduced to a bare minimum, and the deregularization of imported commodities within the archipelago continues as part of the national expansion of economic elements; local taxation, which has not let up in 10 years, continues to be at an all-time high.

Nevertheless, the Secretary-General has promised his coordination with the SDPC and the multiple socioeconomic development advisory councils located from region to region will soon justify the stretched-out budget derivation.

It also remains to be seen whether productivity gaps noted last week will have any significant impact on this stout policy.

Markov Group Buses Soon To Serve Neo-Manila, Sapporo
Neo-Manila Post
March 6th, 2019

The Pan-Asiatic Economic Zone Authority announced earlier today that the New Transeurasian public transportation company, the Markov Group, has signed an economic agreement to further develop private-maintained public transportation routes, specifically, a bus transit operation, in Neo-Manila and Sapporo.

The Secretary-General has released a statement thanking New Transeurasia for their confidence to invest in the Pan-Asiatic States and urges other foreign investors to do so as well. The economic compartmentalization of the sector has lightened the burden of the State Development and Planning Commission, and the re-construction of Sapporo in particular can further be sped by the support of third parties.

The contract approves the construction of 12 different routes in Neo-Manila, and 4 in Sapporo. The upsurge of vacationists this summer is the audience which the SDPC hopes to cater to, and this new investment is sure to bring the beaches and commercial centers of the two cities closer to the homes of the many Asians soon to blow-off some steam this month.

As part of one of the 28-year-old nation's most intricately coordinated and expansive economic agendas yet, this development remains under criticism by many vernacular Maoists, as such matters tend to be. While the 'capitalization' yielded to and will surely be yielded to again in the future phases of the agenda is striking, the Secretary-General is confident in the full support of the masses in this endeavor, especially with taxation-lessening plans which are rumored to be carried-out soon.

With the focus on both international and national transportation being carried-out on par to Xi Jinping's One Belt, One Road initiative; the hitherto forces subscribe to market predictions that the quick and accessible trade of goods and people will be a competitive actor in the coming days of economic strife.

Vocal elements of the Congress of Soviets and citizens alike are at least glad that social and economic development remains vibrant in the country.

Gudfrey's Trading Co. Leverages Pan-Asiatic Exports
Caixin Global
March 6th, 2019

Among many other capital construction works happening this month is the development of a commercial complex and trading post under Gudfrey's Trading Company. The SDPC has reportedly deliberated a grant from the budget's foreign aid allocations to further their agenda and operational capacity in the Pan-Asiatic States.

Released accounts state that the economic forces of the Pan-Asiatic government has chosen to redirect significant portions of its 2018 resource surplus to the benefit of the company, to gain better investment opportunities that encompass a global market.

The surplus in the limelight includes 40 million m^3 worth of Semiconductors at a price fixed at .20 NSD per m^3; 1,149,773,071.104387 dry metric ton units of Iron at 66.1 NSD per dry metric ton unit; and 20 million Barrels of oil at 56.46 NSD per 42-gallon Barrel.

Gudfrey's also released their part of their contract today, citing that shipment dates, frequency and pricing had been approved for all items offered by the State Development and Planning Commission. Their profit prediction listing states that Semiconductors may sell at $8 Million NSD monthly, and $96 Million NSD yearly; Iron at $75,999,999,993.1 NSD monthly, $911,999,999,917.2 NSD yearly; and Oil at $1,129,200,000 NSD monthly, $13,550,400,000 NSD yearly.

The export facilitations are expected to boost profit margins for the Federal treasury even further than has been in the past weeks.

The topography of New Narsia

Pan-Asiatic States Answers Call-To-Arms By New Narsia Government
Neo-Manila Post
March 7th, 2019

CROMWELL ISLAND—An island territory acquired by New Narsia in 1849, has been assuaged by a mass-mobilization of Fascistic rebels, who are reported to have orchestrated a massive terror-campaign against the local democratic government and mainlander communities. As of March 7th, casualties have racked-up at an all-time high, with 25,000~ of the nation's population reported have either been gravely wounded or killed by fringe insurgent militants.

The situation had been observed by vocal elements of the Federal Congress for quite some time now, during past instances wherein insurgent leaders had attempted small attacks on the New Narsian countryside, and made threats to rise-up against the mainland government.

Now concerned that the flames of an island insurgency could soon become a full-blown civil war which may lead to a victory for Fascism in the region, and remaining autonomous to desist orders by third party quasilegislative actions of international peacekeeping bodies, the Federal Congress has issued a proclamation of intervention in favor of legitimate government forces in New Narsia.

As cited on the Secretary-General's official release, "a favorable resolution to answer this call-to-arms has succeeded under a majority backing of 3080 - 920 of the members of Congress, with 5 of the 7 State-Presidents of the Federation vying to support interventionist policy. The Pan-Asiatic States has chosen to employ a policy of proxy war against foreign supporters of the insurgency and are ardent to restore peace and order for the victims of the war. We are hopeful that this new directive will be swift in its deliverance of justice and liberty, as we enjoy today in our home country."

With the fact that the idea of intervention had been led by a key advocate of foreign intervention by the States, Head of State Sonya Yoon-Sook, the same advocate of the war in Israel, whose intentions to promote the Trotskyist World Revolution can be put into reasonable enough doubt; many dissenting voices from both within and from outside the Asian Communist Party continue to demote another conflict to which Pan-Asiatic soldiers are to die for and in. Many are also disheartened by the Federation's support for the avidly Capitalistic government of New Narsia as an antithesis to the Fascist rebellion.

While Third Positionists, such as Congressional opposition leader Sawada Jin, continue to point-out that collaboration with the self-proclaimed 'independence movement' would have been the best course of action, continual crimes of aggression and against humanity by insurgent forces, as well as their attacks outside core-territorial boundaries (on mainland New Narsia) prove otherwise; illustrating that the dangerous rebellion is active in their initiative to thwart democracy and instate a tyrannical and terrorist rule.

Nevertheless, the Ministry of Defense reports that Pan-Asiatic units are already collaborating with the democratic government to cut-down the rebellion in its youth.

Summer Heat Dries-up Major Dams
Neo-Manila Post
March 12th, 2019

Several major dams across the Federation; particularly, across the Southeast Asian territories of the Federated People's Republic have been subject to the month's hot climate. The unexpected temperature hikes have been attributed to global warming by several officials from the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources, and the yearly hikes are only expected to increase if left unhindered.

In the Tagalog Soviet Socialist Republic, Melanesia, Nusantara, Siam, and Indochina; dams drying-up have put urban residents on high-alert. Many cities, such as Kuala Lumpur and Neo-Manila, the biggest among others, have already experienced water shortages in the past two weeks. Distraught residents have expressed the magnitude of the situation to struggling local authorities, and while efforts to ration water supply has been taken, the crisis has taken its toll on local small-scale industry.

Anika Lou, 28, manager of a local beauty parlor in Bangkok, attests to this. For the service sector which runs on the foundation of the public water supply, the situation has led to entire shops having to shut down their operations until further notice, as in Anika's case.

"The parlor uses these hoses which are connected to the city's main tank", according to Anika Lou. "We cannot reconnect it to any other source without securing a permit.", added her assistant in an interview yesterday.

More serious cases, such as in that of Jakarta General Hospital, are even more concerning. According to the hospital's manager, Kôzuke Masanobu, chemo-dialysis procedures were re-scheduled, putting patients in-need of it on-schedule, and immediately, in serious danger. Priorities for vital state-monopolies have been given to ensure that such critical situations are avoided.

Local fire departments are also on standby near forest reserves susceptible to solar-triggered wildfires, in case of a possible incident.

The Pan-Asiatic government, including the Secretary-General himself, ensures that all steps to regulate, contain, and solve the water crisis are being taken.

America Denied EU Membership Again.

In a move surprising absolutely no one, the European Parliament refused the Imperial Ambassador to the European Union's request for the American Empire to "take England's spot in the EU after Brexit" by a 638-113 margin. The English MEP Baron Von Thunderclap, the sole Official Monster Raving Loony Party MEP, stated that "the proposal is utterly ridiculous, even by our standards." This is the 28th time that America has been denied EU membership, and it is expected to apply and be denied membership next year, and the next, on and on for all eternity.
The American Empire is a socially progressive absolute monarchy run by the heirs of Emperor Norton. It started off at MT but has rapidly advanced to PMT through interdimensional travel. All NSstats are used, except for tax rate and population. Factbooks are currently under reconstruction.
