Region Merge Discussions
There have been discussions on the redundancy of the South and East regions, based on their overlapping with the respective constituencies. This particularly affects the regional police force, which are overstaffed in the six regions and underused around the country. Officers Booker and Copper commented on the topic regarding the police force:

Booker: "Well, you see, the thing is, uh... That, err, the police force is, um... Uh, not being needed in all six, uh,
regions... Yes..."

Copper: "The regional governments​ in South and East regions co-operate in discussions on administration on a level that is very redundant, and their separation is obviously pointless! It is clear that historical connections between Falaise and Côte have carried on to regional government, which is strictly prohibited as per constitution!"

Booker: "Well, he is, how do you say... Referring to how the, uh, regions, constituencies and municipalities were formed, and their basis of grouping and, hu, government management, yes. The regions are, um, meant to, uh, be based on, ergh, area and, uh, the extent of, ar, administration from the centre of such regions, yes.
Constituen... Seas, on the, uh, cooperative hand, were historical formed, uh, from the trade and, hu..."

Copper: "Communities and tribes that extend municipal tribes! Hence why it is the police force's consideration that the unity of South and East regions has been apparent for years and their separation must be nullified immediately!"

Booker: "Does give the extra staff good pay for picnicking..."

Copper: "Officer Booker! This job is not to bounce around on unused ars - behinds! That is the police force's opinion on the matter. Taxk for your time!"

Citizens from unaffected regions are concerned that this will reduce crime fighting mobility, and the regional heads are unwilling to discuss on the matter, due to the hampering this would cause to their administration of the nation. The constituencies involved, however, are welcoming to the idea, as it will strengthen the bond between Côte and Falaise, and tourism in Cascade and Océan may benefit. East Constituency Head and owner of The Roost café, Brewster Baxter commented:

"Regional merging could help boost the tourism industry and make the region both unified and varied among the municipalities. Building and business funding is currently restricted to regions, and I do have plans to extend my franchise to Océan... Might compete with my rival Yoshiko McAdams' The Nest... Anyway.
"Falaisean citizens are disappointed in cut funding to building the national army, and as Booker and Copper said, there are too many staff being left unused. I propose for a new regional police centre to be erected in Falaise, which will extend their emergency use range to all four municipalities, and the funds used to employ the unused staff before can go to other departments, like tourism, navy, environment, etc. I have deliberated talks with South Constituency Head Tia over coffee this morning, and she is also open to the idea. She plans to unify the Dirlandic Fossil Archive and Falaise Aquarium under one corporation, which would be made easier under one region. The country should seriously discuss this."

BREAKING NEWS: Pavelanian Navy Destroyers Destroy ISIS Outpost Via Missile Strike

Word has just came in that early at 4:00 AM this morning the 2 Pavelanian Destroyers stationed in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Israel have fired 10 Tomahawk cruise missiles on a large ISIS outpost in the vicinity of the Syrian town of As-Sukhnah after a PAF RC-135R performing recon in the area spotted the ISIS positions. The RC-135R relayed the info to the PNA Destroyers, and also notified Russian and Syrian-government forces about the positions, and their intentions to strike, and made sure no Russian or Syrian troops were in the area. Its also reported the PAF and PNA alerted the US about the positions, confirmed to make sure no US forces were in the vicinity.

So far the missile strike has been confirmed a success after damage analysis by the RC-135R of the targeted area. The buildings of the outpost as well as supplies and vehicles have been heavily damaged with confirmed destruction in some areas. It's unknown how many ISIS fighters died in strike, but it's estimated at least 5 possibly died.

This marks the first Pavelanian strike of their military intervention into the Syrian conflict. This was also the first deployment and use of the Tomahawk cruise missile by Pavelania, and the first real military action of Pavelania since Operation House Cleaning 25 years ago mopping up radical communist groups around the islands after the North Atlantic War. This missile strike will send a clear message that Pavelania is NOT messing around and wants ISIS taken out. At the moment, Pavelania is currently backing the Assad Regime and is cooperating primarily with them and the Russian forces, more than the US and Israel forces. The PNA will continue to strike ISIS when they emerge and the PAF will continue surveillance flights over the conflicted area. Its also rumored the PAF will fly their Electronic Warfare EC-135Rs over Syria as well to disrupt ISIS communications and systems.

This Saturday, His Majesty Ludwig IV called a special meeting of the higher nobility in his court in Königshaus. President Tony Bell Grand-marshal of the 18th Annual Balkvlain Pride Parade

On July 9th, the annual Balkvlain Pride Parade was held with a record turnout, and government delegations from 22 countries. This year, President Bell was joined Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, and sole Finnish Olympic medalist of 2016 Mira Potkonen in leading the parade down the main street of Nimbasa City. About 6,000 people participated in the parade, setting record attendance numbers.

President Bell has lead every single pride parade since taking office in 2011.

Willem Rannecker endorses Matthew Avery for the UKP nomination

Neoconservative provincial senator, Willem Rannecker, has endorsed Matthew Avery for the UKP nomination, less than 48 hours after conceding defeat in the first round. In a long, hard fought game. Stanhope came out on top against Freylind. James Mackevin's goal in the last minute of the first half of extra time sent fans into a frenzy, the overhead kick from the corner was placed neatly into the top corner, and went in so quick goalkeeper Reece McCormick was unable to react.
