The National: A slew of recent polls have shown that President Justin Capriles' approval rating among likely voters has hit a new low dipping below 40% for first time with only 39% of likely voters approving of his job performance. President Capriles' low approval appears to be hurting members of his own party as the same polling company also took a poll of likely voters in the upcoming election in Opermia that shows his Socialist Party losing ground in the state. Cyclonistan Border Patrol Fatally Shoots 3 People

A Shootout occurred on Cyclonistan's northern border leaving 3 illegal immigrants dead and one border patrol agent clinging to life at an area hospital. According to sources, 34-year-old Daniel Alexander, 26-year-old Steve Wellington, and 52-year-old David Davis attempted to cross into Cyclonistan illegally when they were stopped by Agent Cody Foster and 4 other agents from the CBP. Alexander and Wellington surrendered to the CBP while Davis pulled out a firearm and shot Agent Foster in the neck. When the shootout happened, Alexander and Wellington pulled out guns and joined in on the shootout. The three were shot and killed immediately by the other agents who are currently not identified. The Cyclonistan National Police is also investigating the incident.

Emil Bojanov sworn in as president

Ex-leader of the Lāpaköss Computer Science Society, Dr. Emil Micah Bojanov, has been sworn in as President of Joija as both the ex-President and VP had sadly passed away in a helicopter crash in Libertyland August of last year.

After an election lasting a week, leader of the Joijan Christian Democrats, Dr. Bojanov, gained 51.9% of the national vote, narrowly beating Joijan People’s Libertarian Party candidate Anneliese Gregory.

During his inauguration, he quoted: “I will get my men to build a Minecraft world of this great country, and we will make Libertyland PAY for it. Just kidding, but I will make it impenetrable!”

The National: In two states the Socialist Party suffered big losses this Tuesday. In the state of Opermia the party was beaten back to fourth party status as the centrist New Democrats became the state's third party. Opermia, one of the most conservative states the country, will continue to be governed by the National Conservatives who won 42% of the vote and 43 seats in the 85 seat legislature. The far-right Christian Social Union will continue to be the official opposition party winning 26% and 23 seats. In Orleana, an evenly divided state, the New Democrat minority government has cemented its control of the legislature winning 41 of the 80 possible seats, an outright majority. The centre-right Conservatives will continue to be the official opposition party winning 17 seats although this is down from 20 seats. Both the New Democrats and Progressives benefited from the collapse of the Socialists. This is the third statewide elections this year where the Socialists faced big losses the first being in Bruesia where the 12 year Socialist government nearly was shutout of the legislature and lost to the Progressives.

Today is a day that will mark the History of our Nation forever. In the first nationwide referendum since 2014, the Gowinian People voted at 78.3% to transfer the continent of Tamriel which they stand on, on the planet of Nirn, to Earth. We interviewed two voters from both sides to understand this choice.
Andrea Keighley, 38, office worker from Mournhold, voted leave : "I believe we cannot remain on this planet. We are a member of the UN ! We simply can't afford to be 800 Million km from Earth ! We have diplomatic ties with so many Earth nations, yet we have to travel for 12 days through space to see them ! I truly hope all Gowinians are with me on this.

Liam Johansson, 52, factory worker from Falkreath, voted remain : This plan is simply ludicrous. Lift an entire continent ? Who thought of this ? Our ancestors have lived on this planet for thousands of years. We cannot forget our history like that. And look at the beautiful skies ! Look at Nirn's two moons, Masser and Secunda ! They're simply gorgeous at night ! If we leave, we're going to have to look at Earth's boring grey cheesy moon !

And so, the change will be effective on December 1st at Midnight. Tamriel will be placed in the North Atlantic Ocean, in the proximity of the coasts of France, Ireland and Spain. Enjoy Nirn while you still can !

SEVERE FLOODING KILLS 2 IN RAAENADELL PROVINCE

Tragedy stuck in the night from Sunday to Monday, as a heavy storm combined with a high tide caused severe flooding on the coasts of Raaenadell Province, between Tear and Davenport. 2 residents, whose identity has not been divulged, have been reported dead, while 17 others are still reported missing. No proper warning had been issued, as this flood had not been predicted by meteorologists. The damage caused to infrastructure is estimated "at at least 50 million Septims", as written in a statement issued by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

President Seymour Maximillien is currently visiting an agricultural summit in the village of Prenist. 2000 people have gathered in Prenist to discuss themes and events related to agricultural activities and wildlife. The new law permits farmers and hunters to kill wildlife intruding into their farm or ranch. New Cabinet Next Month?

There have been tensions within Prime Minister Mordekai Efterstens`s Cabinet. Several ministers have bemoaned about putting up with other ministers policies. Mr Efterstens has created an Cabinet consisting of all parties represented in The Senate. There have been rumors from The Democrats of The Left that they are going to withdraw from the Cabinet. This will most likely trigger a domino effect, in which all parties withdraw from The Cabinet. If this becomes the case, PM Mordekai Efterstens will have to look to President Maximillien to form a new cabinet consisting of independent politicians with centrist and economically liberal stances.

Pro-life and Pro-choice activists clash in Granderburg

Granderburgians have awoken to YET another political street clash. Half a year ago, PM Mordekai Efterstens`s cabinet decided not to open for liberalizations in the current abortion laws, which allows abortion only in case of rape, a life threat and diseases. Now, The Social Minister wants to liberalize all abortion restrictions, but she has not the approval from PM Efterstens, causing tensions within The Cabinet. Pro-choice activists took to the streets in Granderburg today and 12 000 have joined in. The protestors enjoyed themselves with provoking antics and provocative insults towards bypasses and religious buildings. Now, a counter protest in which 14 000 have signed up for, are clashing with fist fights and garden hoses with the pro-choices. What a day...

Potential Abortion Reforms This Week, Large Demonstrations Awaiten

On this day, Saturday 17. November 2018, Prime Minister Mordekai Efterstens allowed The Minister of Health Mia Croix Alfredson to potentially reform the abortion law this week. The new law will permit women to undergo an abortion until week 12, but doctors with specific standpoints can refrain from performing it. The current abortion law allows abortion only in cases of rape, life-threatening situations and serious damage to the fetus. Although President Seymour Maximillien doesn't share his joy today, thousands of pro-choice feminists have taken to the streets, parading and wrapped up in an euphoric condition. "But I have a bone to pick up with this cabinet, and that is that the reforms must be widened! Allow free abortion in all weeks and conditions!, says an eager feminist from the Granderburg Town council. But several politicians have condemned this, including people from the Shibaist and Centre Party. Mostly from the Christian-democratic Democratic Independents, who is currently leading in opinion polls. Painisia is a quite divided nation when it comes to abortion, says Painisian political expert Alfred Montisman from The Windmill, a centrist political weekly magazine.

In 1974, Painisians clashed together in the city streets late at night, when the Health Minister Eva Liner from the Republican Progressive Party intended to allow free abortion with no weekly limits. The Rondervor Cabinet, in which she was a minister in, split up and Painisia was thrown into an political crisis. The Moderate PM Gerald Rondervor resigned in 4 May 1974, afte the Republican Progressive Party pulled their support for the Cabinet, ending the centre-right governments majority in both Chambers. Now, in 2018, Painisians are getting hot in their trousers. Street clashes have already erupted and communities are divided. Pro-choice organizations, liberal groups, Communist organizations, The shivaist Women`s Association and socialist groups are going to respond with counter-protests. Police and riot-controllers are preparing. Should Mia Croix Alfredson get her will and manage to conduct a reform the abortion paragraph, Painisia may enter a deep crisis before the elections in April 2019. Should it not happen, then PM Mordekai Efterstens has to nominate a completely new Cabinet with extraordinary Presidential support.

Flag Referendum Ends
The flag referendum in the USSR ended today, with the Hollow Star and the Starless flags being in a dead lock.

The results were sent to the Supreme Soviet, who decided to use the Starless flag as their official national flag and the Hollow Star as a naval jack as well as an alternate national flag.

Many people were pleased with the results, but some say that the hammer and sickle is not a symbol of the Soviets, as the Supreme Soviet and the referendum said, but a symbol of communism. Heated debates are expected to take to both the new Internet and in the streets.

NORTHERN AGGRESSION?
Border Patrol officers in South Missouri had a blast when they intercepted an explosive device with an "anarchist A" being driven in from Missouri by a 30 year old man. The man, when questioned, admitted he had intentions to detonate it in Montgomery's Legislature building to "resist racism in every form". Missouri's chapter of the self-proclaimed minority advocacy group Antifa did not claim the man as one of their own. Border Patrol has been put on high alert since the 11th, and in that time one other incident has occurred, with the intended target being Columbia's Capitol building, presumably the Presidential Office. The suspect, when questioned, refused to speak, and has been deported to the United States.

MIDTERM ELECTIONS
The 2063 midterm & governor elections concluded on the 15th. General A. Thomas of the Tennessee Army (ret) has been elected governor of Tennessee, Edwin York (CEO of Little Dipper Electronics) took one of two Senate seats (the other remaining with the incumbent Stephen Houston), and the House seats went to Henderson Anders, John Porter, Paul Redding, and Carl Madsen.

BANK ROBBERY IN MEMPHIS
Memphis police stopped the attempted robbery of a Veterans United Credit Union. Though Veterans United doesn't keep more than $200 in their locations at on any one day, the suspect, 17-year-old Miranda Williams from Halifax, SK, ordered the teller give her $1400 in cash at gunpoint. As VUCU has a no-firearms policy, the staff were helpless until police arrived. Williams has been taken into Tennessee Police custody and has a jail sentence of 30 days. Her family has yet to comment.

NATIONAL FLAG REFERENDUM GAINS TRACTION
Alabama State Legislature has proposed a re-imagining of the state flag, which has remained nearly unchanged since 1865. Speaker of the House William Ballamore and a committee of seven others submitted a query over the Internet for any native of the Confederate States of America to submit their own design for what the national flag should be, over concerns as to whether or not keeping the Blood-Stained Banner alive has hampered diplomatic efforts. Though the submissions aren't finished, when the designs are all submitted and reviewed to the Flag Referendum Committee, the finalists and voting will open at newflag.stateofal.gov.

Category 3 rope tornado hits the suburbs of Trinadaed City. About 20M$ of damage were dealt and 0 fatalities and 15 injuries were confirmed. District County in the northeast and nearby Eritrea and Hartport County reported tornadic weather before the incident. The rope tornado was reported to be an unpredictably odd skipping tornado. The National: The House of Representatives by a vote of 176-168 voted to enact Article 19 of the Federal Constitution. Article 19, which temporarily gives the president the authority to appoint their own government without parliamentary approval when parliament can't agree. The Socialist-Green Bloc, New Democrats, Progressives, and four Conservative MPs voted in favor of the Article with the Christian Social Union, and the National Conservatives largely voting against.

This brings to end an unexpected and rancorous few weeks after Prime Minister James Davis announced his retirement starting Jan. 1st. Davis led the country's first ever "Grand Coalition" government between the Socialist-Green Bloc, National Conservatives, and his own centrist New Democrats after inconclusive legislative elections in March 2018. Although he only held the coalition together for seven months Davis has seen an outpouring of support from across the political spectrum. Besides being PM Davis' biggest legislative achievement was passage of the 2007 Bankruptcy Bill of Rights, a bill he sponsored and got passed despite high odds against him. Additionally his willingness to seek compromise proved invaluable in this age of increasing division both in parliament and the country at large.

President Capriles is set to announce his new cabinet in the coming weeks on a rolling basis with new ministers taking office on Jan. 1st.
