Open or closed Borders? We allow a limited number of immigrants per year, with a quota system giving preference to humans and skilled workers

Overseas manufacturing or local manufacturing? We have a number of strong domestic industries (especially arms manufacturing)
Communism/socialism or capitalism? Capitalism with a strong social safety net and a number of state-owned companies
Federal or centralist government? Some powers (military, foreign affairs, currency, health, space exploration, finance, homeland security, and trade) are held by the national government; all other powers are held by the sector governments.
Religious or secular? Largely (47% atheistic), with most religious people being secular and tolerant (basically, very few zealots)

Overseas manufacturing or local manufacturing? Both, but the overseas manufacturing almost always takes place in a colony
Communism/socialism or capitalism? Weird mix of both

Open or closed Borders? People are free to enter Ohu, with only minimal background checks made to prospective immigrants or tourists. Citizens however must seek a permit to leave the city and another if they wish to travel off-world
Free trade or no free trade? We lean towards free trade, although in reality trade makes up only a small fraction of our total economy
Overseas manufacturing or local manufacturing? Local manufacturing
Communism/socialism or capitalism? Our system has elements of social democracy, corporatism and distributism
Federal or centralist government? Federal, but with a strong central government
Religious or secular? Secular (almost entirely atheist, actually)

We are constantly trying to develop our local industries and sectors in a way that we become as economically self-sufficient as possible, but we remain dependent on the rest of the world for certain resources required by many of our industries. It is uncertain if this has any chance to change.

Overseas manufacturing or local manufacturing? Local. We have several prefectures dedicated almost entirely to manufacturing.
Communism/socialism or capitalism? The Singapore model of free market capitalism.
Federal or centralist government? Federal, although the individual regions only have limited power.

Diplomatic or militaristic? Historically we were militaristic, however these days, we are largely diplomatic. We still retain a large defensive military, though.
Homosexuality is a right or sin? Homosexuality is perfectly legal. However, many Pulsrothites are generally tolerant of it rather than supportive. As such, assistance for homosexual citizens can be limited in some areas of the country.
