Communism/socialism or capitalism? Capitalism with a strong social safety net and a number of state-owned companies

Religious or secular? Largely (47% atheistic), with most religious people being secular and tolerant (basically, very few zealots)

Open or closed Borders? People are free to enter Ohu, with only minimal background checks made to prospective immigrants or tourists. Citizens however must seek a permit to leave the city and another if they wish to travel off-world
Free trade or no free trade? We lean towards free trade, although in reality trade makes up only a small fraction of our total economy
Overseas manufacturing or local manufacturing? Local manufacturing
Communism/socialism or capitalism? Our system has elements of social democracy, corporatism and distributism
Federal or centralist government? Federal, but with a strong central government
Religious or secular? Secular (almost entirely atheist, actually)

It is uncertain if this has any chance to change.
