Very, very well done.

I'll definitely be linking this for my region to reference.
A confederation of three nations and their Arctic territory, currently torn apart by competing interests.
Calendôr is in the GU heartland, located along the Green River. Francophone, it is the most urban nation. Dominated by boreal forests.
Urlistan covers the west coast and mouth of the Green River. English speaking, it is a rocky country based with industry and culture based around the sea. Currently under the control of the Arcadian Empire.
Arasland is a large northern landmass dominated by rocky forests and, above the treeline, tundra. Speaking several dialects of Emerstarian and Arcadian German, and culturally dominated by small family clans.

As always, very good. I do have one question, though.

In your section on corruption and theft of supplies, you don't list any possible countermeasures against it. I just wanted to know if there was a reason for that?

Brevity, really.

Most of the measures against theft of supplies are obvious - have supplies regularly counted, important supplies identified by individual numbers and signed for, and facilities guarded.

But above all, it's never possible to fully prevent this stuff anyway, it's kind of a reality of military life even in advanced forces. Order more stuff than you need because some will get stolen.

What if we have a regular professional/non-politicized military like most governments, but all logistics and sustainment functions are outsourced to a politicized organization, organized like a military but loyal to the rulers instead of the State? Ought to stop coups and mutinies right in their tracks!

Our state, the League of the Six Free Peoples, is actually controlled by a cartel of neckbeards known as La Cosa Fedora. Members of the cartel are known as Honorable Gentlesirs. Citizens who are not members are known as normies.

Our armed forces are armies of the radicalized romanceless.

Do you fear us yet? If not, have some anti-neckbeard propaganda!

How will you handle tactical logistics, i.e. actually within the units?

That would be left up to the actual military to an extent... although our units tend to be infiltrated by loyalists (in contravention of our own laws) so maybe we can just have infiltrators be disproportionately put in charge of those functions if this does turn out to be the best way to exercise control.

I don't fully understand the question.

If you mean why I write informatives, I have been writing various informatives for a while. My inspiration is Questers' excellent Basic Primer to Naval Warfare.

If you mean how I choose the topics, I choose the topics based on what kind of things I perceive that people in the community might need to know more about, and then I research those topics and write about them. Currently I am researching and writing an informative about Special Operations, and after that you might see an informative about field fortifications.

Yes, partially I was wondering that, but also, what sources do you use for these 'informatives'?

It's an honest question. If something should be visible (such as in this case, you don't want the containers to go missing), why are they camouflaged?

I provided a bibliography in the informative itself. :)

It's over there.

Oh sorry, I thought it was a joke.

Well you don't want anything to go missing (you don't want your uniform, tank, etc. to go missing either), but camouflage doesn't really make things perfectly invisible. It makes things harder to spot (or in the case of some kinds of camouflage, make it harder to identify their shape and the exact distance to them), at a distance. Obviously you'd have trouble seeing those camouflaged containers if you were a thousand yards away (say, like an enemy soldier) and they were placed in some bushes, but you wouldn't have a problem if you were standing on a concrete runway and they were 50 yards away.

[This is assuming this camouflage is functional - some sorts of camouflage just look pretty, like those camouflage underpants you can buy on ebay].

A job well-done, a comprehensive and well-written overview of military logistics.

As they say, every war hero has a hundred men earning his medal behind him.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

A fool sees religion as the truth. A smart man sees religion as a lie. A ruler sees religion as a useful tool.

The more God in one's mouth, the less in one's heart.
