Well depending on what part of the country you go to you will either get a stern telling off by the local babushkas, a bit of a frown, or a simple shrug.

Most Rijekians believe in a religion but the extent to which they practice varies across the country. If you said you were atheist in the more rural parts of Rijekia people would probably thrown at you or ask questions, but if you said it in the towns and cities along the coast, the average person probably wouldnt care (that much).

Hadin is a Theocracy, so you'd be breaking the law.

Officially, atheism is still punishable by death, but we actually haven't killed anyone just for atheism in a couple of years.

So it's more likely you'd be forcibly sent to an allied UNCA nation where atheism isn't a problem. Most likely Algrabad.
Just so you know, this nation, in character, is a highly sexist, highly theocratic, and highly authoritarian state. (Though under the new guy, it seems to be improving a little).

I disagree with a lot of what this nation stands for. It was invented for its intrigue and ample opportunities for satire, not for its ideals.

You would get a beating. Jk no it would depend on the province of the area. If it's a religious area you will get the suspisious stare and get exorcised. If you are in an urban area with cosmopolitans its ok

Well, if the year was 1988 or before, you'd be the norm as it was illegal to be anything but atheist, or death would prevail (yes, Estantia use to be a dictatorship).

Nowadays you would still be fine, but it wouldn't be the norm. 65.9% of the population now identify as Self-Deprecationists.

You would probably get questioned on the spot, or at least looked at with derision and shame. While atheism is not illegal here, it is exceedingly rare and typically associated with the "Cult of Progress" - a disparate group who worship the use of science and technology above all else, but without a higher purpose.

Depends on what you mean by it and how vocal you are about it. Tiressan laws about spirituality and religion are surprisingly relaxed for a nation ruled over by a cult of powerhungry sorcerers, and everyone is free to stick to their own beliefs as long as they do not interfere with the sorcerers' business.

If by "atheist" you mean that you do not believe in gods or supernatural forces, people would certainly look at you weird - how would you explain magic, then? - but let it slide. Many would not care too much. If by "atheist" you mean that you actively fight and argue against the idea of such supernatural forces, the Adhali would probably make fun of you. But don't say that around a sorcerer, or you may end up in one of their rituals...
Fate Favours the Strong - There are few who can wield magic as masterfully as the Tiressan Sorcerer-Lords. And there are even fewer who can claim to be as diligent, observant, and resilient. Suffering and misery are everywhere and should be embraced, not shunned. Come and writhe in agony, as we all should.

After all, tradition is important. Mens Sana in Corpore Sano.

If as an atheist you are concerned with living without being coerced into religious ideology; then congratulations you have a lot in common with most of our religious population who do not want to be coerced into the ideologies of other sects or religions. Your objections will be listened to and be judged by their merits on a case by case basis.

If as an atheist you are concerned with insisting that society must abandon all religions and become completely atheist; congratulations you are a hypocrite! You are acting just like any other religious/ideological missionary.

Full disclosure; I am an atheist, yet I stopped going to the meetings when I saw how many fell into this trap!

P.S. It must be noted that the hypocrisy of many (not all) so-called atheists who would hold one or more religions/sects to account (sometimes accurately), yet others would get a pass (... without naming names of course), also stuck in my craw!

The person you were talking to would likely just say "alright," and then move on. It's very common and the State is Atheistic.

most people are religious, so they will not be particularly happy about it, but most people do not have the time to argue with a stranger about it and will move on. if you continually bother people about it, expect to get slapped though.

Being a nation-state and a refuge for atheists and agnostics fleeing persecution from all over the world, you would be entitled to citizenship and an automatic right of abode. You would also fit right in since 90% of New Bremertonians are atheist/agnostic. In fact, you would stand out far more if you said you were religious.

It really depends who hears you. Most young and middle-aged folks won't really care. Many members of older generations might guffaw or exaggerate their shock.

Expect to hear the occasional condescending line about your soul or hell or maybe just some good-natured ribbing, but in all truth the country's religiosity is on the decline.
