People would think you were a foreigner, most likely. Atheism is not a Restricted Ideology in the eyes of the state, unlike some foreign religions.

Many Layvians would simply nod in agreement, as the Layvian government has not established an official religion, and the nation itself is founded more in scientific principles than religious or moral principles.

From the official Factbook of Layvia:

"Layvia does not have an official religion, and the country itself takes a rather secular approach to most matters. However, Layvia is quite diverse in religious beliefs. In the 2050 census, it was reported that 38% of citizens identify as atheist or agnostic, 16% identify as Christian, 14% identify as Jewish, 12% identify as Muslim, 7% identify as Buddhist, 7% identify as Hindu, and 6% identify as other.

In accordance to the Constitution of Layvia, any form of religious discrimination is banned."

Layvia seeks to promote diversity and intelligence, and thus it would be antithetical for anyone to mock anyone for their religion, and especially for the lack thereof.
We sincerely hope our message finds you well. We wish upon you the light to illuminate ignorance, and the balance to harmonize in peace with nature and mankind. In honor of the principles of life, logic, and love.

-Chief Executive Penelope Goldwood, People's Executive Council of Layvia

Nobody would care.
Zealots would call you as infidel.
But you would have no problem. Except if you molest people by your viewpoint or leader is religious zealot. Then you might get in trouble.

Cleric Pass' religious values are more seen as religious truths of human nature rather than literal takes on scripture, and act as a foundation for the legislative decisions that are made. With that in mind, people who call themselves atheist would likely be seen as extremely misguided and subversive by most.

Any movement that tries to influence change in this system is not considered progressive but rather revolutionist, therefore not tolerated by law. Misunderstandings of motive can happen - 15 year old contrarians on Facebook are often taken from their basements and waterboarded. They're fine afterwards usually.

Nothing would happen to you, though people won't understand. Both the Christians and Muslims of the nation take their religion seriously, and don't come across atheists and agnostics a lot. Malizistanis would ask you questions like "Why don't you believe in God?", they will hear your explanation and leave it at that.

In short, it would be no big deal.

People may try to convert you to Troklakhi. The people trying to convert you would do it politely and may only care about how you feel about nature since Troklakhi is a "nature religion."

If you said that completely out of context with no one having asked you? You'd probably be looked at a bit strangely for the outburst, but otherwise nothing would happen.

The average person would likely hurl eggs at you. If you write atheism down for religion while registering for a government service, then you will be rejected that service, put on an ISB watchlist, and given a list of religions to practice (all the major ones would be on there.)
