Our nation is non-partisan, the lower legislative branch, known as the federal diet, is made up of an independent group of bureaucrats appointed by the head of government, who in return is appointed by the upper branch - or the senate. Members of the senate are appointed by the diet. This is a fundamentally flawed system and we gotta change it soon.
