Blurting in schools in your nation

Postby Khorata » Fri Mar 05, 2010 3:07 pm

What does your school do if somebody blurts in class (talks and does not raise their hand up) in Public Schools? If you don't have any public schools, tell one of the private schools or a boarding school.

Here, if you do not raise your hand and talk, you are sent to the principal's office. 5 more times of it and you are expelled.
If you are in a roleplay with me, read my wiki. That way, that's all you need to know.http://www.nswiki.net/index.php?title=Khorata

In all Schools in Tiesa children are held to high standards and if anybody dare speak out in class without being called upon they will be taken out into the hall and beaten by Police Officers which are present in all schools.

If what they have to say is pointless or just disruption they are told to be quiet, if they are making a valid point they are praised for that but told to raise their hand in future.

They are taken aside and beaten with a child wacking rod. Children must know they cannot speak, even if they have something productive to say. The adult gets the total and authoritarian respect.

We also follow it, but is told to raise their hand in the future if a valid point occurs, and does NOT count for the expulsion.

This.

Is it just me, or are these FN&I threads getting more and more ridiculous. I mean, this is almost as bad as the one about what your nations' shoes are made out of.

We encourage it, as long as the student has a valid point to make. Seriously, having to be called on just to speak? Don't your nations have freedom of speech?

I mean in the classrooms. However, we do not want students to get distracted. School's for learning, home's for blurting, quoth an old poet.

'Blurting' is practically the national pastime in Fatatatutti. Telling somebody to be quiet or to raise their hand before speaking would be considered very rude. Mind you, hogging the conversation is also considered rude. An important part of free speech is listening when somebody else is speaking.

Hitting a child, or any other similar crime, will get you sent to rehab.

What kind of self-respecting child would interrupt an educator while they were giving a lecture about our great nation?

Requiring a student to raise their hand before speaking would be rather ludicrous. Children are encouraged to speak out, especially if it pertains to the subject at hand.

If it's ridiculous or something like that, they are told to shut it. If it's something important or if it's an answer, they are told to raise their hands next time. However, if they blurt when the teacher is talking about Frenca, they are yelled at like this

Eeri believes in an open class room where discussion can go on so speaking out is encouraged in active learning. Other times speaking out of turn is not allowed. Usually when the teacher is lecturing which is different from time to discuss

Ditto. Harsh treatments for being too enthusiastic about learning are counter-productive.

This nation doesnt support constructive education.

Postby District 72 » Fri Mar 05, 2010 5:23 pm

Here in District 72, there is no education! We provide the lowest possible amount of help for our children. Here there arent many children anyway, after the nuclear fallout. They became deformed and gained a love for flesh.

(all below will be reset every day) Blurting in schools means talking about a non-school subject. Not raising hand and talking is counted as talking out of turn, and is simply punished with a glare and a firm talking to.

1st Disruption: Name on board.
2nd Disruption: Name with check, lose 10 minutes recess.
3rd Disruption: Name with X, lose recess and get extra homework.
4th Disruption: Detention (30 minutes).
5th Disruption: Detention, sent to P's office.
6th Disruption: 2 Detentions, notes sent home.
7th Disruption: Day Suspension
8th Disruption: 2 Day suspension, no recess for month, extra homework.
9th Disruption: Week suspension, no recess for 2 months, extra homework, meeting with parents.
10th Disruption: Expulsion.

In San Arkus, most of the teachers dont mind that much. They simply tell them to stop. If they do it alot (it varies between teachers) there sometimes sent to the principle, has to sit out in hall, if the teacher is strict, a lunch detetion or a write up. Not that big of punishments.
